Great hotel for the price you pay. Food is of good standard and good variety each themed night. There was a real big variety of drinks on offer at the pool bar. You'd get more sleep in a prison, stayed here for a week wasn't a single night where we weren't woken up by loud mouth drunk idiots at various times between 1 - 6am. Shouting, screaming, banging and music playing, hotel security didn't appear to be around to tell these idiots to shut it. I guess if your here for a week of partying this is the hotel for you otherwise I would not recommend it.

Me and my mother went I am 60 she is is 85 negatives first not hotel fault tour operator should say on hill but brilliant I am a travel agent and hotel was spotless food fantastic staff amazing Freddie the pool man thank u I was struggling with cases and my mom and he helped me Tammi and and all restaurant staff were fantastic and animation team so good and Rodriguez u can play that guitar thanks for a great stay

We spent a week here at the start of March with our 9 year old daughter, this is a party hotel and not for families with children, groups of teenagers drinking round the pool from morning till night, you can't sleep because they party in the hallways all night. We only went in one pool as the rest are cold including the hot tub. No kids club just a 15 minute disco at night that is for 5-6 year olds. We only had breakfast in the hotel which was quite nice, definitely wouldn't stay again

The hotel is very noisy. Loud music at the pool all day long. Drunk people in the hotel during the day and night. After opening the balcony door it smells badly from the kitchen. If you are looking for the place to rest, stay away from this hotel! If are coming over to be drunk and noisy - this is the right place for you.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times, previously in 2017 & 2018 which I couldn’t fault. It was not perfect but done the job for my time in Tenerife. However, my third visit was March 2023 and I can honestly say I’ll never return. The hotel is advertised as 3 stars, I’d give it more 2 at a push. On arrival, the staff were friendly and the check in process was quick. When we got to our room, the door was so stiff you had to push it open it with force. The room was dull, beds were uncomfortable and we could hear everything from outside the room and the rooms next door to us. There was also a strong smell of smoke everyday. The rooms did not get cleaned properly everyday, all the cleaners done was make the bed. We had to look for the cleaners everyday to ask for fresh towels. We went to the supermarket to buy food for our room, since the room was a self catering apartment. The toaster & microwave did not work, I didn’t even want to attempt making anything in the kettle. The dishes we had never got washed, if the cleaners do not wash this then I feel the hotel should provide the guests with washing up liquid which we did not have. We tried to phone down to reception to report this and the phone they provided in the room did not work. Myself and my partner had a terrible cough, sore throat and blocked nose (cold symptoms) and we were told by a medic that this was due to the air conditioning filter being unclean and mould spores growing inside. Which I can definitely believe as the hotel itself was extremely unclean. The hotel was full of party goers which we expected due to the location of the hotel (the same reason we booked to return to this hotel). However, they had no respect for anyone’s peace as they were so loud from morning all the way to night time. Everyone goes on holiday to have a good time, but a good time can be had at a respectful noise. Which the staff should make guests adhere to. The walls are paper thin, every morning we were woke up to someone in the next room from us spewing (not a nice wake up call). We could even hear every conversation had. We peeked outside to the poor area everyday, however we did not go outside as the whole area was full of large groups drinking and being rowdy. I’m glad it was only myself and my partner staying here as i couldn’t imagine what it would be like to go here with a family. The only good point about this hotel is the location but if you want to go on holiday to have fun, and come back home feeling rested. This is not the hotel for you. I’d rate this 2/10. …

Me and my boyfriend just returned from our 10 night stay at the columbus, our 2nd time here as we absolutely loved it last year! Safe to say we absolutely loved it again! We have said already that we will keep returning as this hotel is just perfect for us. We arrived on 28th Feb around 5 o'clock pm, greeted by the security guard who directed us to the desk, the lovely lady (never got her name) checked us in very quickly and was so friendly! Our room was on the 4th floor pool (and sea) view, absolutely beautiful views, our room was so clean as always, beds are so comfortable and we had the best night sleep every single night without fail. I just want to say that the noise levels the some people are stating about are completely fine.... out of 10 nights, I got woken up once by a drunk man singing, which you have to expect on holiday and so close to the main strip of veronicas! it didn't even bother us one single bit! The exaggeration of some reviews on here really angers me because this hotel gets such bad reviews due to noise, if you don't like noise don't bother staying in Las Americas, end of. Anyways, on to more good things... the food!! We absolutely loved the food here (we were all inclusive) the choice is great! We have always said that the food here is one of the best all inclusive food we've had, a different cuisine every night and the desserts are just amazing. The waitresses and are so kind and welcoming, and work really hard all day. The all inclusive drinks are of a really good choice, everything you pretty much want. Every area in the hotel is spotless and cleaned throughout the day, it is a beautiful hotel. The maids were also just amazing, our room cleaned every single day, I always walked in to our room after it being cleaned and it smelt amazing! The entertainment is great here and the team work so hard and are so lovely! My boyfriend did rifle shooting and really enjoyed it! They really try to get everyone involved without you feeling pressured into doing so. Great fun! Since returning from last May, we really noticed small changes that made such a difference, one thing in particular was that the hotel now chain up sun beds so you can no longer reserve them which is great!!!! because of that we managed to have a decent sleep in until 9am and still managed to walk down and find a sun bed straight away. From memory they would normally unlock the chains around 8ish when the cleaners finished cleaning the floors, it really really made such a difference!! All in all we had the most amazing holiday again at the columbus and will be returning the same time next year! Please don't listen to bad reviews and give this hotel a try, we did and now we don't look anywhere else. Thanks to everyone at the columbus for making our holiday the best as always!!! …

Stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment for 5 nights. Hotel itself is nice and staff are lovely but you do get what you’re paying for! Rooms are very basic and not very clean although they are cleaned every day, lots of little flies constantly flying around our apartment for some reason and also very loud at night so wouldn’t be ideal if looking for a good nights sleep. Lots of good entertainment and facilities in the hotel including different entertainment each night and a kids club, hotel is an excellent location with lots of bars and restaurants close by. Decent hotel but will not be returning unfortunately

First impressions 5/5 The columbus hotel is a great value hotel for those on a budget, it is a 3 star hotel, it looks attractive from the outside, on entering the foyer you are greeted by a clean reception area with attentive and friendly staff, you are checked in pretty quickly. The room 4/5 We went all inclusive with easyjet holidays, so we got a room on the top floor of the 2nd block looking out towards Los Christianos, sea view and view of the hills, which was fantastic, the room itself did look a bit tired in places the rusty effect metal decor didn't really fit in, when you compare it to the bright green decor in the self catering rooms in the other block you will know what I mean, the bed was comfy enough although you do get only one big pillow each, the air conditioning is easy to work and gets super cold, the bathroom was a decent size too with an excellent shower, the room also came with a fridge, and there is a safe to use at an extra cost. Buffet Restaurant 5/5 The food at the all inclusive buffet is what you would expect for a 3 star hotel, at breakfast you have the usual British cooked options, bacon sausage egg etc along with beans and hash browns, there is also the usual continental offerings too such as cereal, crossaints, pain au chocolate etc, there are fruit juices and coffees on offer too, it's all warm and edible, I don't understand what the people are doing who say it's stonecold, how long are you spending wandering around the buffet before you sit down? This has never been an isuue issue for me. At lunch time there's always a good variety of stuff on offer from Sunday roasts to pizzas to vegetarian options too. At lunch you have drinks offerings such as beer, wine, and fizzy drinks. At dinner there is a different theme every night, whilst we stayed there we had oriental, british, Canarian, Mexican etc, and there was plenty of variety on offer on one night there was lamb, pork, chicken, turkey even goat on offer, along with pizzas, pasta, and vegetarian options, I've even had steak one night, all the food was warm and eatable nothing was stone cold like some have said... Beer and wine was on offer along with branded soft drinks. Overall the all inclusive buffet offering deserves 5/5, for the price you pay for this hotel, how could you possibly expect anymore? Bar 3/5 In the hotel there is just the one bar for all inclusive, the issue is this bar also caters for the self caters too, so at times service can be slow, the drink on offer is your basic non branded spirits, along with your wines, cocktails and amstel beer. You can also order bar snacks here, hot dogs, toasties etc, I would give more stars but I just think the slow service let's it down and the lack of another bar in the hotel when there are 3 pools and a roof top terrace with no bar? There is a pub on site but you can't use the all inclusive in there, maybe make one bar for all inclusive and one for the self catering or maybe have another bar in the 2nd building where the now redundant reps desks are?... Like I say nothing is wrong with the quality of the drink on offer, it's just the time it takes to get then and the fact there is just the one bar, also if you are drinking outside its 1 euro for the plastic cup which you get back in return and guess what? There's just that one bar to take it back to where you have to queue yet again. Maybe have a cup deposit area for quicker turnaround. Pool Area 4/5 There are 3 large pools, one is heated, there is a jacuzzi, but its freezing, and a children's pool. There are plenty of areas to sunbathe with loads of space, my only snag would be that the outside seating area for sitting to drink and have bar snacks is small there's less than 20 tables and chairs... Location 5/5 The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of the golden mile, los Christianos, Costa adeje and the strip, plenty of bars on your doorstep too, along with 2 supermarkets, I've seen people complaining about noise, end of the day that's no fault of the hotel that's just pot luck, of who you get in the hotel that week, maybe bear in mind this is las americas, and it's a budget 3 star hotel, so you will get Stag/hen dos, etc, the age of people in the hotel ranged from young to old a good mix. Overall 4/5 Great value 3 star hotel, in a superb location, friendly staff, food great, all inclusive rooms could do with being brought up to date with the self catering ones and another bar is needed …
