Staff absolutely brilliant food very good location excellent only problem is the accessible toilet the pull down hand rails are no use for people with poor disability and with no other had rails near the loo it could be risky could this be sorted
Me and my partner stayed here at the beginning of June and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We stay in Tenerife yearly and try different hotels and this was definitely one of my favourites, if not, my favourite. It was very close to all the great amenities (the safari centre was behind us) and the main las americas strip of restaurants and shops. As soon as we got to the hotel we were checked in straight away - no queue. We arrived just before midday and our room was ready right away which was fantastic. The reception was large and grand and the greenery hanging down was a nice touch. The receptionists were very friendly as well as the man who dropped our bags down the hall for us. We were given a lovely glass of Prosecco on arrival. Our room was on the ground floor about a 20 second walk from reception and was very spacious. It was exceptionally tidy and I felt there was plenty of areas to put all our belongings. We had a large balcony with 2 sun beds and an outdoor shower this over looked a walkway (although still felt private as wasn’t right next to). The whole hotel is nice and modernised and the room has some great features such as the USB charging ports, luggage racks (or at least that’s what we used them for!), large scenic photos, LED lighting in the bed frame and a waterfall shower. Our first day we spent most the day time mainly exploring venturing onto the pool area around 3.30/4pm. The pool area had a good amount of sun beds available at this time, these looked new and were super comfy. The pool area was very peaceful which was fantastic as it was very relaxing. There are some really pretty plants also within all the greenery. It would have been nice to have some music playing by the pool quietly although I note not all guests would appreciate this so I was happy with my earphones! I noted the majority of clientele were 60+ with a few couples me and my partners age (mid 20’s) and very very few children. So it felt like an adults only hotel which we like to go for. I feel like this is probably why it was so peaceful! On our second day we over heard a lot of talk about the UP! area and heard numerous prices floating about. It was something we had looked into but we were unable to add it on to the holiday when booking. We went to reception who said the UP! area was fully booked (which made sense why we couldn’t book originally). However the balance terrace area was available at a discount rate. I believe €12 each a day and a minimum of 3 days (not sure what original price is). The man on reception gave us a tour of the area and was very helpful. This area had its own small infinity pool and included unlimited beer, no alcohol beer, water and juices (orange, peach and apple). I was sold at the infinity pool and my partner was sold at the free beer so we decided to go for it! I would highly highly recommend upgrading to this - my partner most definitely made the most of the free beers! Every day we got up there at 9.30am and we got two beds right infront of the infinity pool. We also made friends up there with other couples and we all seemed to have the same beds every day and bonded over the fab free beer. There was hardly anyone up there which meant it was even more relaxing and there was also some quiet music playing. The infinity pool was cooling and great for a quick dip or a swim and it made a great people watching spot!! We opted for bed and breakfast during our stay. The breakfast had a good range of foods with a full English breakfast, fruits, cereals, breads and pancakes and much more. We were there about 8.45/9 ish each day and some days it was very busy - one day we had to come back as no tables! Although this didn’t really bother us. There was a pool bar which we got lunch from most days and the menu was fantastic. They really thought of food presentation and variety of the menu (although we did stay boring with your general toasties and paninis). The portions were also huge - we definitely could have shared! We don’t stay in hotels at night and watch the entertainment as we prefer to venture out but we do sometimes go to the hotel bars for one last drink before bed. We did walk in and take a look on two occasions but decided against this as we felt the entertainment/singing was for the older generation. Overall the stay was a 10/10 and we would definitely come back. The hotel was clean, in a fab location, had lovely staff and greatly renovated rooms and pool areas. Thanks to all the staff that made our stay lovely.…
We have stayed here many times but I think this will be our last. The hotel is in a great location but every time we come it gets more like a Carehome in the sun. A few niggles, Check in takes far too long. We booked direct which gives you a safe and fridge. In your key pack, the magnet for the safe should included along with the Wi-Fi passcode, I ended up going back to reception to for both. We also had access to the Balance Terrace, I asked if this could be accessed from within the hotel and was told yes, then sent the completely wrong way. Unofficial access seems to be via the fire escape when the cleaners are on duty. Check out is also slow, held up because of the time it takes to check people in as only two desks operating. The staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast was ok and the one night we watch the Entertainment it was very good.…
This is our first visit to this hotel and 4th visit to Tenerife. We we please with the general look, kerb appeal, spotlessly clean exterior large entrance foya with enough plants to rival Kew Gardens. Also we noticed how everything was arranged in straight lines, nothing looked out of place. We were booked into the “UP” experience and at first we had a room on the 6th floor, first view of the room, it looked spotless, nice view of the pool and sea however, we found the room a little small, after a word we upgraded to an end room on the 4th floor slightly larger with 2 TV’s an a bed settee. Breakfast was from 7am to 10am little early for me, only managed a visit once in 3 weeks, the choices looked good. As a member of the “UP” experience we opted for breakfast on the top floor, wasn’t a great deal of choice might describe it as a continental breakfast but it was enough for us. Throughout the day in the “UP” we had light lunch, sandwiches and salad at lunch time and cakes at teat time, alcohol was served all day as part of the package. In the “UP” experience again the hotel is obsessed with straight lines, all the beds are in a line along with the Umbrellas, however, if only the sun would move in the same straight lines, it was difficult to find shade under your umbrella. Altogether we were delighted with the hotel and if we could get the same size room we would be delighted to say here again, the position was perfect no noise, the staff were all amazing especially Andrea.…
Beautiful hotel and really lovely staff, from front to back of house, nothing was too much trouble, the beds are very comfortable, our room had a beautiful sea view, this is our 8th visit to this hotel and we would never go anywhere else in Tenerife
As the title says this our first time staying at the Vulcano usually stay at the Arona Gran. Have to say this hotel certainly lived up to our expectations check in was smooth although our room was not ready just relaxed with a glass of prosecco. Slight problem with the room however Marcos in Customer Services sorted it out also you have to download the app. to order various things. Food in main restaurant to suit all tastes. We upgraded to the UP well worth thinking about the food is of the healthy lifestyle and the drinks are all top brands. Rooms cleaned on a daily basis water and coffee etc. all replenished. Entertainment mediocre but plenty of night life nearby. In conclusion would recommend this hotel and top marks to Marcos for all his help.
The up level is very relaxing . Very clean and a beautiful pool and towels supplied. We have been coming since the Up level was built and look forward to our next visit. Still think it should be opened before 10am as all other pools are open from daylight or in some cases torch light which is ridiculous of people to put towels down at 7.30am. The staff are all very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are spotless and supplied with water, coffee and milk daily. A few things need ironed out but we are just coming out of a pandemic so we need to be patient. Can’t wait until March.
Another excellent week in the UP! Keeps on improving. The set up, food, drink, infinity pool and staff are all first class. A special shout out to Marcos, Customer Experience Manager and Gerado, Chef in the A La Carte restaurant - superb! We will be back (again) soon.
Vulcano better than ever! great for couples and I would highly recommend this hotel it was so good we’re returning for two weeks in summer and can’t wait, will be our 5th or 6th visit. Breakfast/dinner was excelent with plenty and tasty choice (this visit without any doubt the best). On arrival we were met with a welcome drink and check in was very easy.Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Location perfect. Hotel extremely clean and staff very friendly. A good relaxing holiday it was superb. Had once again an excellent stay at this hotel.
