Hotel's Favorite
I extended my stay in Tenerife and the hotel I was in had no rooms so I booked the SOL last minute for 3 nights. I can honestly say the cleanliness and attention to detail of small things was amazing. The pool is clean and plenty of sunbeds. The reception staff greeted us and were really helpful if ever in need. I had self catering so I cannot comment on the food. The cleaners were fab and the room was always clean and tidy. And finally the atmosphere from the night life was amazing!! A different act each night, the kids team were great with my daughter and they have a kids club on 11.30 and 8.30 each day. I would defenaitley stay here again for longer in future.

It is currently 01.30 and I am wide awake due to the noise of the night club outside this hotel. I asked to move our friends and ourselves but they said they would only move us. We came away for a birthday and have had to listen to the excessive noise until 04.00 each morning so far. Would not stay here for free if they offered it to me 🤬🤬

We have stayed at this hotel before and re-booked because we had such a positive experience last time. Unfortunately we did not have the same experience this time. The hotel was clean and the majority of the staff were very helpful. Rooms could be updated and more plugs - only 1 plug in the bedroom. However the pool staff were aggressive and unfriendly. Constantly telling people off who weren’t doing any harm with inflatables or balls in the pool. Last time we were here there was pool volleyball nearly everyday. Even people with e-cigs sitting next to them but not smoking them, were being told off. Towels were only allowed to be left for 30-40 mins so you couldn’t relax if you wanted to go for a walk or to go get food, you had to constantly watch the clock which wasn’t relaxing. Even the sun lounger situation was completely different - last time we had no issues getting sunbeds, this time you had to race out as soon as the pool opened to get a lounger. But by far, the worst part was that the surrounding resort was so so loud and full of people trying to sell drugs! As I said, we are repeat visitors to sol tenerife but wouldn’t go back again. Every few metres someone was offering you drugs as soon as you walked outside the hotel or on any of the nearby streets. One night we couldn’t get to sleep until 4am with the noise of people outside in the streets or coming into their rooms drunk. I spoke to other people who requested room changes due to noise. The place was full of stag and hen parties as well. I wouldn’t recommend unless you like partying and loud music. Its definitely not a family hotel anymore.

My friend and I booked this last minute for a girls trip. Our room faced veronicas strip which is very noisy but didn’t bother us (we knew the location of the hotel so were aware it would be noisy until 5am) - the room could use some modernisation and a bin. We booked half board and have got to say is our biggest regret, breakfast was edible but dinner was very bad. We aren’t fussy eaters at all but felt there was a lack of variety and food was the same EVERY night - some of which was disgusting and we struggled to find anything to eat (descriptions of the food was unhelpful). Hotel bar is very PRICEY for what you get, do not recommend buying a drink from there. The entertainment was practically non existent - good pool activities but only a handful (5-7) of guest could participate. Overall would stay again self catering or bed and breakfast as hotel is in the best location for people wanting to go out on the strip and staff are friendly.

I’ve been to this hotel many times, this is the first year I just can’t believe how down heal it’s gone. My mum and me come here this year, and booked for September but will be changing the hotel ASAP. Entertainment is absolutely rubbish. there is nothing in the day, everything has stopped. You are not allowed a ball in the water, floats absolutely anything. No drinks around the pool, the pick on the young lads with this especially. The security Gaurd went to pull his batton out on a young male, for having a drink around the pool and all he said was “ I can’t understand what your saying”. No children here, well maybe 5 at a push. It is no longer a family hotel, it is a stag/ hen hotel more for young adults, but even all of them are complaining that they are not even allowed to breath around the pool before the life Gaurd blows his whistle. Not alllwed to leave sunbeds for more than 30 minutes or they will take your tail. Good is okay, same thing every night though, if you like pasta your in luck. The only good thing about this hotel is where it is located and the lady at reception who speaks fluent English is also lovely, very helpful. I definitely recommend not staying here if your looking for abit of fun with a ball in the pool, some floats etc. used to have pool parties constantly, activities for kids, kids club and it has all stopped. We have been here for two weeks and there has been bikes in the water at the most, nothing else. Very disappointed as was one of our favourites, I know everyone I’ve spoke to here is disappointed ranging from age 22- 87, you here the night life in the room until 5 in the morning and it’s ridiculous. Also if you smoke you need to go outside the hotel to do this.

We booked the Sol Tenerife knowing that it was next door to Veronica’s. We stayed nearby last October and loved the restaurant “La Karina” that was joined on to the Sol. We were gutted on arrival that La Karina here, and on Parque de La Paz have moved. We were told they had gone to Los Cristianos, but we didn’t find it in our week long stay. Plus points: The hotel was spotless. We opted for b&b - breakfast was plentiful, freshly cooked and everything you could want (top tip - take a mug if you don’t want to drink from a thimble). Our room was also spotless with fresh towels and bedding whenever we opted for a clean. WiFi was fantastic. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Air con in the room was very helpful! Always sun beds and umbrellas available in the pool area. For Entertainment this hotel is on the strip, five minutes walk from The Patch and about fifteen minutes walk from Parque De La Paz. Negative points: First hotel I have ever stayed in without bedside power points. No kettle in the room - we heard this was due to covid, but every other hotel we have stayed in since the pandemic have had this facility (we said that if we were staying again that we would buy a second hand kettle from a car boot and just leave it there). Walls were paper thin; we heard raging arguments on one side, crying woman and vomiting the other! The bottom of the bath was slippery. Things to consider (we knew what we were booking so these things weren’t really a problem for us): The Veronica’s sign is literally next door to the hotel meaning that the hotel was noisy until 4am. Nothing a quality pair of earplugs can’t solve. The hotel does take single sex parties (hen & stag). They were absolutely on their best behaviour and absolutely did not bother us. In fact, probably added to our enjoyment. All in all we had a wonderful stay and as a couple of girl pals it was everything we wanted and more. I don’t think it’s really suitable for a family holiday, but only because of the late night noise. However, we did comment that in the dining room we saw the widest age range of people we had seen in such a place - all seemingly enjoying each other’s company. Thank you Sol Tenerife. We would definitely stay with you again.

Stayed here with my partner and son for a weekend away. Checking in was easy and quick and the reception staff were very helpful. The room was basic but clean and tidy and more that adequate for a weekend break. The music from outside the hotel can be loud but we never had any trouble sleeping. We only had breakfast in the hotel but it was nice, plenty of choice and warm. The pool area was lovely, kept tidy and we never had an issue getting a sunbed. The only slight issue we had was the hotel shop, it sells loads of pool inflatables but these are not aloud in the hotel pool I think they should advise this when purchasing as you end up paying for an inflatable that cant be used. All in all it was a good break in a nice hotel I don't think I would return when travelling with my son as the hotel isn't really aimed at children.

Before arriving and reading some reviews on here i was a bit sceptical of the Sol tenerife. However when i got there it was perfect, stayed for a week with my girlfriend and both loved it. Staff very friendly and helpful, location is spot on , right on the beach. Had a lovely view from the 7th floor. The music in the evening was good entertainment for us to get ready to, with the doors shut it wasnt bad at all and it wasnt that late. Room nice and clean did the job beds were comfy. Breakfast was nice lots to choose from but the hot food could of been hotter. No problems getting beds in the morning two nice pools to choose from. Overall a lovely experience and we would definitely stay here again and recommend!

If your are of a certain age group then this hotel is for you, right on the strip for Loud music and parties. Every single night the music kicks off around 9pm then continues to 4am... Ear buds required but even then its ridiculous. Complain to the hotel but it is what it is apparently . Hotel staff are all very nice from the reception team right down to the cleaners. House keeping staff do a fantastic job, Hotel rooms are very basic and need a bit of an update, the outside bar staff are also a happy crew ,but say that the lifeguards at the pool are spot on as an elderly lady got into slight difficulties and the lifeguard was straight in ,
