The Sol Tenerife hotel boasts a coveted beachfront spot and pool facilities, though some guests lament the shortage of sun loungers and dated room features. Its prime location offers easy beach and nightlife access, but the proximity to the strip means noise is a common complaint, particularly with the loud music that permeates the atmosphere and disrupts sleep. While the cleanliness receives mixed reviews, the service quality ranges from commendable to disappointing. Guests often find the rooms in need of modernization and the value debatable, given the various drawbacks.

Well located hotel on the beachfront in Adeje. At the entrance of the hotel there are some parking spaces that in the afternoon for two days I found place without problem, but also has option to hire parking for a low price. Correct reception and facing the sea better choose rooms facing the sea or to the left, because to the right there is an area of bars with some noise.
We chose room facing the sea and we were given the 11th floor with sea views and very nice sound of the waves with the stones, because the beach area is made of stones, but on the right in 200 meters is the beach of Troy.
Buffet breakfast very complete, as well as dinner, in which drinks are paid.
Rare that in the room there was not a small refrigerator to at least have cold water.
Good value for money in the area which is very lively.

Getting to the hotel is quite quick as it is only about 12 miles away. The hotel check in process is extremely slow. Because there are 11 floors one can wait ages for the lift to come.

Breakfast is the usual Canadian standard consisting of eggs, sausages etc. If you want your eggs warm or hot, you need to go to the chef who won't be happy to make you fresh ones as he has already made loads which are under the so called heat lamps. The staff in the restaurant are very efficient, cleaning the tables very quickly.

There is a small supermarket shop connected to the hotel which is very handy for wine and crisps etc. The pool area gets very busy very quickly, and people do put towels down generally fro 8am. The pool area gets very noisy from about 11am when the music kicks in.

Location is superb for all the bars and restaurants along the sea front. Plenty of choice to be had, but if you turn right at the gate by the pool area facing the sea, then you can walk along to the middle of the main strip and up to Costa Adeje and beyond.

I opted for a sea view room (514) because of the reported noise that I had read about due to Veronicas being next door. I spoke to many people who said that the pounding sound of the bars did not stop until 5am, and that sleep was almost impossible.

The balconies in the rooms are very small with a table and 2 chairs. Room layout was also quite compact, and I was bothered a couple of times with cockroaches.

Please ensure that you do not put your electronic room key card anywhere near and electrical device as the card will not work. This includes AirPods etc. Many people, including me had to wait at the pool gate to get in as this was a constant issue.

If you want to party all night and sleep all day, this is the place for you.

Staying in one of the most popular places in Tenerife is no mean feat, especially if you want to attend the nightlife that the island offers.
I stayed a week with a friend of mine, and I have several positive points to report:
1. The view from our balcony was spectacular, despite not having asked for a sea view room;
2. We chose the Half Pension option, for very little money (the addition of dinner for 8 nights cost us only 50 euros!!), and it was absolutely worth it. Freshly cooked food, variety of meat, fish, vegetables, and great service. Also the room was always super clean.
3. Friendly and helpful staff: when we arrived there were small animals in the room, and immediately ran to clean again and make sure it didn't happen again.
Among the negatives, I point out the bathrooms of the rooms a bit dated, and the extremely small parking (although Las Americas is full of free parking spaces within walking distance of the Hotel).
Very convenient location to visit the island and explore the seafront, 30 min by bus from Tenerife Sur airport, and breathtaking views overlooking the ocean.

Second holiday at this hotel after almost 30 years absence from Tenerife - wow its changed, now almost fully pedestrianised.
Sol Tenerife was great value booked through BA Holidays. We were fortunate to get a room in Tower B which is quieter at night compared with Tower A which is adjacent to the nightlife of Veronicas. Some areas a little tired but always clean and tidy. Rooms are comfortable but basic. This hotel has the biggest and best breakfast buffet I have experienced in many years of travelling - amazing selection and good quality. Nice team of staff that work really hard. Good Central location with several good restaurant and bars close by. Will return again next year.

The location of this hotel is perfect for a party holiday because it’s right next to the strip but for nights your not partying you won’t be able to sleep because of the noise (we was aware of this beforehand though) but it doesn’t help that the beds are squeaky and are rock hard. The receptionist’s are the rudest people I’ve ever come across they have no people skills whatsoever and are unable to solve any issues in a timely manner. The breakfast I wouldn’t even feed to my dogs I lived on croissants for the week, even the fruit juice isn’t nice and the water tastes like they’ve got it from the pool. The cleaners didn’t properly clean our room the full stay even putting back dirty towels and remaking dirty sheets. The room was full of cockroaches which we killed but was still left there the full time cause the floor didn’t get cleaned. The walls were also so thin we could hear everything in surrounding rooms, at one point we thought we could hear a man in our bathroom but it was our neighbour in his room. I’d recommend staying here if you’re on a drinking holiday purely for the location but other than that I wouldn’t recommend it

Dear Kya, Thank you for your feedback, We're thrilled to hear our prime location served as the perfect base for your fun-filled holiday under the Tenerife sun, next to the vibrant heartbeat of Playa de las Américas. Our aim is always to provide the ideal backdrop for those seeking both relaxation and the island's lively spirit. We regret to hear that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. Our team takes pride in the comfort and cleanliness of our rooms, and it concerns us that you encountered issues with housekeeping and noise. While we're nestled in the heart of the action, known for its exuberant nightlife, we strive to ensure a restful experience for all guests. The bed quality is something we're usually praised for, especially with our recent mattress updates, and we're surprised to hear your feedback on this. To enhance our guests' gastronomic journey, we offer a delicious array of local and international dishes, and we're saddened that our breakfast selection did not tantalize your taste buds. We would have been delighted to assist you in finding something more to your liking among our extensive offerings. We hope to welcome you again in the future. Very unhygienic hotel in need of a huge renovation. Food isn’t worth the extra cost, the rooms have 1 single power outlet which is for the tv and look like they haven’t been renovated since the last 90’s or early 00’s. Carpets are in awful shape with duct tape patches on some parts. Pool is covered in green algae floating on top and stained all on the walls. The outdoor staff, life guards are good at what they do, house keeping staff are all lovely until it’s time for you to check out when they asked us if we could hurry up and leave now 20 mins before we were due to check out. The receptionists could be a lot more helpful and less judgemental when looking for special allocations, Very difficult to find a sun lounger and almost impossible to get 2 beside each other if you aren’t out 1st thing in the morning, another issue is many people will leave towels on the loungers and disappear for hours on end with staff doing nothing with the empty loungers. You are provided a bath towel per person in the room which is perfect but if you want a beach towel you pay €10 deposit and €1 each time to clean it. Overall the main thing going for this hotel is the location. I’ve read over 10+ reviews before writing this and some of them almost seem fake with how inaccurate they are about the state of the pool and outdoor areas. If you value your sleep I’d also avoid this hotel as the balcony doors have no seals so all noise from “The Strip” nearby gets in and also conversions from the hallways can be heard clearly. For anyone who uses a hairdryer bring your own as the ones provided are less useful than putting your hair under a hand dryer. Overall unless you were going on a drinking holiday and the hotel was just a place to sleep for you I’d not recommend it.

The negative reviews about Sol Tenerife left us anxious about going to stay in this hotel! On taking advice from other reviews I ensured when booking to request a sea view in a quiet area of the hotel and that is what we got, Room 715 in Block A, the view was beautiful and the balcony was a sun trap! As this holiday was to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary the hotel provided a bottle of Cava which was a lovely gesture!
The location of hotel is excellent with the back gate opening out onto the promenade which provided a lovely walk along the beach!
We were all inclusive which proved to be well worth the little extra cost, the variety of food provided was excellent, meat and fish cooked fresh during lunchtime and evening, a microwave provided should anything not be hot enough, breakfast was excellent as well! A self service drinks machine available for lunchtime & evenings in restaurant providing soft fizzy drinks, wine and beer!
Snacks were available in afternoon when restaurant was closed, we never had need to use but there did appear to be plenty of variety plus crisps and nuts available from bar!
All staff were pleasant and worked really hard!
There was no issue with the room, large bed ie 2 singles pushed together, if I had a complaint it would be size of bath but it wasn’t a major issue! I also followed previous advice in reviews and brought an extension lead which was definitely required for charging phones etc due to a lack of plugs! Tooth paste/brush & cotton pads/earbuds were provided in the bathroom!
The English channels didn’t work on tv while we were there but who goes on holiday to watch tv anyway lol!
Sun beds can be held by towels but if the beds are not being used the towels will be removed after a period of time, this is actually not a bad thing when you find yourself in the position waiting for a Sun bed and the towel could be collected so again no major issue!!
I would recommend this hotel and will go back at another time as we really enjoyed our holiday!

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in !!!
It’s is rated 4 star but is more like a 2 star.
It is advertised as a relaxing family hotel but is far from relaxing, we have not slept since arriving as nightclub music goes on till 6am from strip across the road and then the clean up crews arrive shortly after!! It’s currently 3am and we are looking at getting flights home early. I appreciate hotel in lively area but we can hear the music pumping through ear plugs on 11th floor.
The carpet in hallway is so worn away with areas covered in duct tape, fire alarm hanging from ceiling.
The room we are in on 11th flour is clean but it’s dated, the bathroom very dated with rust around the plug and cracks in some tiles. One plug socket in bedroom.
The buffet food was just ok, no real flavour to the food, we went at 1pm when lunch starts and some food was already cold, had an orange juice at breakfast that was definitely watered down, we decided to eat out!!!
People start queuing early in the hope of securing a Sun lounger because there are not enough to cater for everyone, you could not even get a chair to enjoy a drink by the pool bar as people used them all day due to not being lucky enough to secure a sun lounger. They open pool area at 8.30 am and when we left to go out one morning at 8.45 am all loungers were covered in towels.
I have travelled to many destinations over the years and this trip has by far been the worst!!

Dear guest, Thank you for your feedback, We're thrilled that our cleanliness met your expectations and provided a spotless environment for your stay. Our team always aims to maintain impeccable standards of hygiene and comfort, as the sparkling Atlantic serves as the perfect backdrop for our guests' experiences. We're also glad you found value in our buffet offerings, though it seems we missed the mark on tantalizing your taste buds with the flavorful variety we strive to present. It's disheartening to hear about the disturbances you encountered; our location is indeed nestled in the vibrant heart of Tenerife's Playa de las Américas, a hub of exuberance and lively spirit, where the pulse of the night is felt through various events under the moonlight. We're taking your feedback into consideration as we continually seek to balance the energy of our surroundings with the tranquility our guests deserve. We hope to welcome you again in the future. We saw mixed reviews when booking this holiday but still thought it looked good. And I have to say it really was great.
The staff go out of their way to help you. We needed to book a coach to loro parque last minute and the reception staff sorted it, took payment and gave us docs from the coach company. The payment was the same so no extra money paid.
The hotel is spotless clean. Always someone cleaning and keeping it perfect.
Room was slightly dated as such but very clean, comfy and a very hot powerful shower. Also had a bath.
free shave kit and tooth brush. nice touch.
Our room had a built in fan, cool ish and I don't know if they had aircon. Best to check.
Pool area was great, some loud guys there when we were there but we went out anyway.
Food, so much to choose from. Breakfast had loads of choices, which was good as the bacon is smoked and sausage not great, but still lots of others to go at. Dinner at night was very good. With half board we had this so made the most of it. Plenty of choices to eat, loads of sweets, ice cream etc.
Good thing was if you buy drinks like beer etc, it was cheap but very nice.

Would have been good to be told we can leave via the pool area using key card, had to learn from another patron. But now you know.
They also loan towels for the beds and waterparks, you pay a deposit you get back. So essentially a free towel for the day. It costs to hire them at Siam

The pool gate leads straight onto a main path right on the sea front, which is amazing. The sunset from the hotel pool area is something else. Loads of lovely places for a drink along the shore.

It can be noisy from nearby bands and live music but then it is an active place. we took ear plugs.

Reading reviews about reception staff being rude is nonsense. 2 times we've been and both times very nice. I had to ask for the tv to be programmed for BBC and they did it. Asked about hairdryer and they told me about a switch id not seen, all smiles.
If they were rude to anyone I will bet people were rude and demanding first/

The pictures look attractive, but they were probably taken 25 years ago. This is fine for English boozers who scream, puke and do drugs day and night. At the worn out (the 30 coats of paint peels off everywhere) pool are far too few sunbeds and those there are completely worn. For €20,- deposit you can get 2 pool towels but if you want a clean one you have to pay €1,- per towel extra. It stands on the edge of the entertainment center so there is a lot of noise and nuisance until late into the night. Looks like the fairgrounds of Tilburg. The hotel is very dated. Air conditioning??? We had a kind of central fan that we had on position 3 to feel a little bit of cool, but was not much. Almost no closet space in the rooms. Bathrooms also dated and for older people even dangerous to shower in a very small narrow bathtub. Had towels a few times that were worn down to the wire. Light switch was at the head of my bed so that it came on every time I lay down differently because of my pillow. Bed was quite hard and was staggering on its feet. 1 bedside table 1 chair, no vitrage, sticky tiles. Worn and dirty carpeting in the hallways. Doors stuck in the frames. Folding sliding doors to the balcony.
Overall, the staff was not friendly except for a few. Food is really focused on English cuisine, and still lukewarm and bland and little variety. Vegetables were inedible. Even once chicken meat that was undercooked. Entrecote looked good, but they looked like shoe soles. Couldn't get through with those dull knives. The only advantage of this kitchen is that you don't gain weight from it. Pieces of concrete fall down from balconies (they are working on it now). We arrived late and left late after 2 weeks, but that last day your all inclusive band is valid until 12 pm. Because of the lovely weather we still had a good time but all in all they never see us there again!!! And believe us, we're really not demanding.
