Our time at Gold was wonderful, rooms are a good size and the shower was awesome. Each room comes with a kitchen and complimentary bottle of water each day. Breakfast was great, fresh and hot items cooked to order. The pool area is clean and there’s plenty of places to take in the sun. My only criticism is the beds. They appear to be two single and were far too soft for us, felt like they were sagging in the middle. They did provide a topper when we asked to overcome the issue but it didn’t really help much. Gold told us they they're having new mattresses for next year, so hopefully this will be done as we are booked there again in 2024.

We can’t rate this hotel highly enough. This was our second stay and the service, accommodation and ambience of the place was perfect for our two week holiday. This hotel isn’t small but has a trendy boutique hotel feel about it. From the minute you arrive to your departure all the staff are super friendly and helpful. We loved our room with a large ground floor terrace. Perfect for chilling in the shade and in the evening before heading out. Bed very comfortable, aircon is great, shower would accommodate a rugby team (if only 😜). Housekeeping staff do a great job. We ate in the poolside bar many times and the food was great. Service was fast and friendly. Can’t fault the Gold, we will be back.

We stayed here for a second time after having stayed here a year ago, and we loved it yet again. This is our favourite hotel in Gran Canaria. Pros: - Super friendly staff - Super close to Yumbo Centrum for restaurants and bars - Very gay-friendly atmosphere but also straight-friendly - Super close to a bus stop from/to airport, Maspolpmas Beach, and/or Las Palmas - Great breakfast, which is served until noon so no worry about waking up early! - Lunch has a good selection and is reasonably priced, no need to leave for lunch - Lots of places to sit around the pools, never a problem finding a free sun lounger - Live DJs and music on various days - Rooms with balconies, some with sea views - Super comfortable bed with big pillows - Air conditioning worked well - Decent Wifi - TV has several BBC channels, ITV, and Channel 4 - Free half-hour access to a courtesy room if you leave late on your last day - so on your last day you can check out but then hang around the pool and then use the courtesy room to change or even shower before leaving - For me, the hotel is the perfect size - big enough to have amenities but small enough to feel boutique My favourite thing is that the rooms have candy jars. Our housekeeper deduced that I didn't like the green candies, so she emptied out the jar of all the green candies and replaced them with only yellow, orange, and red candies. Love her for that! Cons: - The bathrooms in the rooms are very tight. The showers are wonderfully huge, you could fit 4 people in them, but the area around the door and toilet is super awkward because it is so tight. - The rooms have this weird banquette thing, like a booth at a diner. It takes up a lot of room, and I would prefer to have a sofa and more seating. …

Fantasticly Awesome and beyond expectations.... We have stayed at the Gold before and this time was a surprise for my Husbands 50th, my request and what i had asked for in the room was met with and more. The service, the staff, the level of care and consideration of every guest is exceptional. The pool and the poolside cafe are always clean and tidy, the food tasty delicious and freshly cooked, the pool area cared for and immaculately looked after. This all starts upon arrival where you are offered a glass of fizz whilst you sign in and the transfer (Mercedes) when you leave with a complimentary bottle of water for your Journey. Our 4th visit this year, which speaks volumes! Amazing 🤩 quality of service delivery, excellent rooms , superb 👌 staff from front of house , restaurant ,to room maintenance. We stayed at Gold by Marina for 11 nights with Breakfast. It's our first time staying here & overall we really loved the hotel. Here is my review based on value for money, quality of product, service & personal experience listed as good ✅️ & poor/could be improved ❌️ ✅️ Fast & efficient check in at reception ✅️ Reception/Front Desk staff are friendly & Helpful ✅️ Clean throughout the hotel ✅️ Great Housekeeping ✅️ Great air conditioning in rooms ✅️ Comfortable/Modern/Clean rooms ✅️ Comfortable beds ✅️ Great pool area, with soft/low music, colourful ✅️ Great vibe throughout the hotel ✅️ Breakfast is served until midday which is VERY good, so 10 out 10 for me ✅️ Breakfast is really nice (with a fresh orange juice machine) ✅️ Staff attentive, but not overbearing (A special mention to Louise & Awa at breakfast) ✅️ Great functioning App ✅️ Good hairdryer ✅️ Sustainable hotel ✅️ Great location ✅️ LGBTQI friendly hotel 🏳️🌈 Pride party held at pool (A suggestion that perhaps next time a singer, male/female dancers and also some pool floats would be a good idea to get people involved) ✅️ Well run hotel, management seem to genuinely care ❌️ No boxed tissues in bathroom ❌️ Liquid Shower gel/Hand soap has a horrid scent of sage & nettle that smells like gone off meat! ❌️ Both swimming pools are a little too cold ❌️ Air Conditioning in the weights room of the gym does not cool effectively ❌️ Tiles cracked in shower cubicle & some mould on shower head & tile grout (see photos)…

I was a tad sceptical about all of the really positive reviews I'd read before booking this hotel, but I can now confirm that they were indeed justified. The hotel is beautifully laid out and the rooms are modern, spacious and very comfortable, with excellent Air Con included. The sun beds and poolside lounge areas are plentiful, luxurious and relaxing, including the terrace bar (which is attached to the side of the 4th floor rather than on the hotel rooftop). Obviously this was at the end of October, so I can't say how it would be in peak summer season. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and, most helpful and there is a wide range of good food and drink available. Maid service was on a daily basis. Location wise, there is a downhill route (about 10 minutes walk) to the beach via some stairs about 20-30 metres down from the hotel. The Yumbo Centre is also close by (less than 5 minutes walk) and there is a supermarket and numerous restaurants and bars pretty much next door. Very minor quibbles - there is not much of a turning circle between the inner bathroom door, the toilet and the enormous shower cubicle, and the outer part of the bathroom would benefit from being fully shut-off from the main room to prevent light coming in at night. But, that's really just about it. The best way I can summarise is by saying "we'll be back".…
