A big group of my family and I rented 2 bungalows on this complex lovely place, pools really nice and the pool bar is lovely, the lady Sherry that works there is so nice we will definitely be returning and highly recommend to any family and if you have elderly relatives like we did it’s all one level so no steps so perfect for the elderly or disabled.
We arrived well after reception had closed (midnight) I rang the reception to let them know my arrival time. A member of staff was waiting there to check us in. It's a nice complex with 2 pools and a pool bar. It can get noisy at weekends as some of the apartments are privately owned by locals, who usually come Friday to Sunday. Pool signs say it is open til 8pm. On some days staff closed it at 6pm to the annoyance of some holiday makers. You have to secure a 100 euro deposit in case of any breakages. Refundable on check out.
Great size 2 bed bungalow with kitchen lounge front and back terraced areas. Close to all local amenities. 2 pools although confusing with opening times. Slight issue with ants. But great bungalow would defo stay again
We have just come to the end of a lovely weeks holiday in bungalow 258. The room was clean and was as described. My only issue was that there is no kettle. However there is a coffee maker! I don’t drink coffee! The first day our toaster didn’t work but was replaced within the hour with a brand new one. The microwave was also brand new. There was always plenty of hot water for showers etc. They came into empty bins and change towels and make beds every day. The grounds are kept clean and tidy and we used both pools almost daily. The area was quiet but 10 minutes walk to the sea front and many bars and restaurants. We are going to return next year.
Well we arrived on 21st August checked out 22nd August lasted one day!!! Should have been a week Paid 100 euros deposit??? Paid 10 euro tv remote??? No WiFi dark depressing bungalow on main road (183) hardly no equipment in kitchen not even a bread knife!!! No air con had to buy a fan 20 euros still bedroom like oven ceiling fan in bedroom was not working on arrival told fixed in 20 minutes 20 hours later my husband fixed it.... and even then it was so loud it was like a form of torture.. no sign of anyone from complex. As for Playa del Ingles itself well that’s the most depressing of all we had some amazing holidays here in past but resort has dropped off considerably lots of bars restaurants and shops closed down place looks dirty and abandoned not cheap to eat or drink out . First time I’ve come on holidays wanting to come straight home. Santa Clara bungalows are now mainly privately owned by locals and you are made to feel like your in crouching on their turf. Not friendly at all... Sad to say but I would never return to this resort again and definitely not this complex.. be warned…
On arrival the bungalow was really dirty, dropped something behind the TV unit and it came out full of dust, someone else's dirty flip flops under the sofa and things left on the shelf. Under the beds were disgusting. Quite clearly not cleaned properly. Beds not changed once in 10 days and the only time I could tell that any cleaning was done (sweeping, mopping) etc was a day I was actually in the bungalow. Pros Location is not too bad 2 good size pools with plenty of sunbeds(altho weekends were very busy with people not stopping on site) and only 1 pool was open. Good size rooms Cons Dirty bungalow No aircon Fans expensive to hire ended up buying one Hardly any plug sockets and in 1 of the bedrooms there were non. Had to pay for TV (not that you go on holiday to watch TV) but nice to have on whilst getting ready to go out. Bungalow furniture needs updating badly. Light switches dont look safe and barely attached to the wall. Overall I would not come back to these bungalows even for the price I would expect more. Outdated furniture I can live with, dirty rooms I can not.…
,Just returned from a weeks holiday at the Santa Clara bungalows, Nice bungalows spoiled by no kettle, and noisy Spanish people next door talking at the top of their voices at 3 in the morning, don't know how they can hear each other as they all talk at the same time. Banged on their door and told them to keep the noise down, when we went to reception in the morning to complain we were told that they had complained about someone banging on their door, what a cheek. These apartments lost a star because of this.
Stayed here 29th May - 9th June 2019. All staff friendly and very helpfull, room was 244, can never say a bad word about this property. Always plenty of beds by the pool, no need to get up early and put out towels, choice of 2 big pools with baby pool at each. Temperature lovely in pool, just what you need to cool down while sunbathing. Very secure complex, perfect location to yumbo, chaperral, and shops. Would recommend this property to anyone, suitable for wheelchair users also. Going back again in September with the grandkids for 10 days. If you cant book on any of the websites e-mail direct to see if their is any rooms left as some private bungalows may still be available booking direct. Overall we have been visiting gran canaria for over 15 yrs and have stayed plenty of places but if we can get Santa Clara its our number 1 choice. …
Booked 2 x Superior Bungalows through AlphaRooms.com for a Family stay last month May 2019. Arrived at 13.10 hrs to find reception closed until 16.00 hrs and no means of getting access into the complex as gates were locked!! Nowhere to park the hire car either!!! Finally got in as a fellow camper returned giving us access. Found someone in the laundry who had a list and keys, we were ALL forced into number 292 a one bed roomed dog kennel, very basic, being told to return to the reception at 16.00 hrs to complete check in. On return they tried to issue 292 to us as the one bed option which we refused and were given the keys to 183 which was definitely NOT a superior bungalow!! Our family were put in 237 a fantastic 2 bedroom unit which was a very pleasant surprise based on what we were given. We were told 183 was superior, I'll try to upload pictures for your enjoyment!!! Then came the shock of having to hand over 100 Euro's per bungalow in case of any damage caused during our stay, 35 Euro deposit for the Safety Deposit box and if you wanted to watch the TV in the bungalow you had to hand over another 10 Euros for the remote control!!! 290 Euros in total for 2 bungalows, some people might not have that in their budget yet nothing on the AlphaRooms website about these extra fees. Both pools looked as if they had been recently refurbished, but main water feature by the walk over bridge never worked while we were there. Pool bar was good with a very charming English lady running it, but somewhat over priced food and drink. Had to go out from the complex at the weekend as the whole place filled up with Spanish people from all over the island, so nowhere to sit and relax around either pool, very noisy until after midnight over the weekend. No sign of night time security to quash the constant jabber and noise!! Maid service very poor and NOT daily, bed sheets never changed the whole stay, just bed made, bins emptied, towels changed and floors swept. No means to boil water except for a coffee filter machine, Toaster cheap plastic and faulty, our bungelow (1 bed) have 3 of everything, cups, plated, knives, forks, spoons etc. Microwave that didnt work, no oven but a 2 ring electric hob. Very poor for self catering. Had to purchase our own kettle, and Iron as not supplied. Our patio area was a desert, all plants dead and not watered, 2 x very mouldy sun loungers, small table and 3 chairs. I hope my pictures come out!!! Weather was fantastic for the 10 days we were there, centrally located for all of Playa del Ingles amenities and shopping centres. Except Faro 2 in Maspalomas was completely deserted and looked derelict, with only 1 shop and 1 restaurant open. The Funfair/Bowling centre was also closed for a refurb. Apart from above, had a great family break.…
