Detailed Reviews
We arrived late evening but there was very clear instructions what to do, we sent a message as instructed via WhatsApp and had an immediate response, as instructed we got our keys. The bungalow was nice, clean and adequate for our needs. It’s operated by a German tour operator so it’s predominantly German guests, though they also advise on booking. Com so there are English too. We were pre warned about noise from the adjacent hotel/complex being renovated but it wasn’t any hassle, we found the cleaning ladies very nice and chatty, the chap who did breakfast was very nice. The breakfast is quite basic but there was a good selection available and the coffee was perfect!
The pool. I think it may have been a little heated as it didn’t feel that cold when you got in, but why anyone would want a heated pool when it’s 30’ is beyond me.
We fly home late evening and we unable to keep our bungalow on which is very inconvenient for us, we have not been offered any shower/changing facilities. So a cold shower by the pool it is. But, we would definitely stay here again, it worked out half of what we usually pay at Aqua Beach, not as nice a place as Aqua but definitely reflected in the price.

Excellent bungalow park for gay men. Nice house with terrace. Spacious swimming pool and friendly staff. Quietly located near the yumbo. Mainly visited by Germans. Daily cleaning. Swimming pool is not heated. WiFi is weak, but you can easily connect to the WiFi of an adjacent hotel.

We visited in July it was a reasonably late reservation as our circumstances changed to what was our plan this is how we came to stay here. We had stayed many times in Gran Canaria over the years and this is one place we had always thought we'd like to stay at. We had in the past stayed at Liberty apartments then what is now Axel Beach our balconies have always overlooked here, it always looked like it had well tended gardens and there was never any loud music playing unlike Axel where it is incessant all day!
So we had the opportunity decided to give Artemisa a try, well when we arrived on the Saturday it was extremely hot 30's plus, I had emailed to say we would be late arriving approximately 9pm I was told that when we arrived at the gate call the out of hours number and someone would come and let us in and show us to our assigned bungalow, no problem or so we thought. We called the number but it went to a Spanish speaking answer machine and nobody picked up the phone we called several times the same thing happened, by this time we were hot and exhausted, luckily a man staying here let us in and we sat on the bench and looked on the notice board for another number we found the out of hours emergency so we called that that also went to answer machine, so we tried our tour operators number that went to answer machine by this time we were envisioning sleeping on a sun lounger in the garden we tried the out of hours number again this time we actually got hold of someone who came to give us our bungalow. He didn't appear very welcoming.
We went to our bungalow and unlocked our gate that was over the unlockable patio doors and went inside where the heat hit us, that is when we realised no aircon only a desk fan, however looking at the bungalow it was very clean all be it a bit on the shabby side in definite need of upgrading and improvement. But for what we had paid what more could we expect was our mantra.
1 It was spotlessly clean
2 it was in beautiful relaxing gardens
3 It had a beautiful warm swimming pool
4 You could always get a sun lounger a plus in
our minds.
5 Everybody was friendly saying hi or hello we
didn't feel out of place like some gay resorts.
6- point the towels in the bathroom are only
changed every other day not very nice when
you are using them to shower several times
a day they tended to be a bit smelly unless
you dried them outside.
7- point there was no sockets in the bedroom
to plug the fan in at night only the one in the
lounge, in fact there are only 3 sockets
available in the lounge charging things is a
bit of a nightmare but you get round it.
8- point no microwave or kettle I suggest
bringing your own kettle.
What else can be said about this complex if you like peace quiet and tranquility and want to be able to hear the birds sing, where you can lie in your own bit of garden and chill then this is for you. If you want to be a disco bunny with music 24/7 don't book here.
If you can put up with quirky then you will be ok if you want 5* luxury fluffy white towels and bathrobes then book elsewhere.
Did we enjoy our stay ? Well after our initial problems and reservations you bet we did, did we want to leave? No we could have stayed forever it was one of the most chilled out relaxing holidays we've ever had in GC and as I said at the start we've stayed at 5* to 1key. Artemisa you need a few tweaks here and there but please don't change the ambiance of the place we'll be back as soon as is possible.
Pass on our thanks to Nena our cleaner as she's a gem we loved her and her smiling face she's a credit to you.

I have booked a bungalow from the 11th to the 18th via booking.com. The place is dated and with no proper renovation whatsoever. Everything is rusty and so old that one cannot guess if it’s clean or not. Rusty dirty windows in the room, bathroom and kitchenette, so dirty and rusty that one doesn’t dare to open. Had to have shower with flip flops and the curtain of the shower was so old that we could not tell if the original color was white or beige. All doors very dirty. Extremely old kitchenware with a rusty toaster and very old bad looking coffee machine. The morning after arriving (I arrived at 18:00 so no reception though they say it works till 20:00), I eventually went to do the check in and breakfast. The guy could not be more careless and rude. When asking how the safe worked he told me I had to pay 20 euros deposit and 2 for use. Then I’ve asked if rooms were cleaned daily and the guy replied he didn’t know. It was not his responsibility so I should find the maid and ask (!!!). Then I’ve said without any emotion or attitude that I was not happy with the bungalow and might write a complaint. He did not ask “why”, “how can I help”. Instead he said “if you want to complain you should do so” (!!!!!). After all this I went to eat that “breakfast”. What a joke and disrespect!!! Not even in jail for what I know people get something as bad in quality and poor! I’ve managed to change the hotel and left. The same guy not even regretted. My worst experience ever. Ah! I forgot. There were ants everywhere. It is a shame for Artemisa and any platform that sells this property.

We wanted to try somewhere different this time around so opted to stay here. Initially we were very impressed by the wonderful welcome from Fran who helped us settle in, and the beautiful peacefulness of the complex, the lovely pool (despite being freezing!) and the close proximity to the Yumbo. There is no noise from the Yumbo but sometimes afternoon music from the Axel Beach hotel pool parties - so beware if like us you like a siesta!
Our bungalow was nicely kitted out with modern furnishings and had a nice outdoor space of its own - but it lacked privacy from the facing bungalow where there was always someone sitting out watching us! Not too much of an issue as we aren’t hermits but we’d have liked the option of being totally private.
Breakfast buffet was available from 9 til 12 and it was lovely to sit & eat under the trees watching the wild rabbits run about & the turtles in the pond. No issues with sun beds or getting a nice spot by the pool and poolside towels were provided.
The only downsides were the lack of wardrobe space (for 2 of us), the pillows which were very flat and also warm bedding as it was chilly most nights. Most people were friendly (we were the only English couple in a mainly German occupied complex) but the odd comment was made about ‘why are you staying in a German resort?’. A bit strange considering we were in Spain & the resort was featured on various British booking websites!
But hey ho, it was overall a relaxing, peaceful stay.

Seems renovated but it’s actually crap.
The shower wasn’t functioning! They came for repairs but made it worse in the end.
Breakfast was ok. The pool is freezing and should be heated.
The beds are ok, but the equipment in the kitchen is ridiculous. We were 3 people and had no wine glasses and just one big plate!
I really can’t recommend this place!

It is surprisingly calm and chilled yet again close to the Yumbo.
Friendly staff
Beautiful garden with a nice swimming pool
Bungalows a little out dated but very practical with a nice little front garden with sunloungers
Pity for the wifi which was almost impossible to use indoors

What a fabulous time we had. The location of the complex just 2 minutes from the Yumbo Centre and so quiet at night. Jonathan (bar/reception) is fantastic and can't do enough for you. The complex was spttlessly clean and I am already looking forward to staying there again during carnival.
A little bit of music by the pool, chill, out not thumping club style would lift the atmosphere, and if the owners of the complex are listening, a bar nearer the pool would give the whole area a heart. Jonathan is wasted down in the woods! Its eariser and quicker to walk to your apartments for a drink than it is the bar.
Nice mix of people, predominately German, but that's fine and no attitude. All very friendly people.

We enjoyed a 5 night stay here in February 2014. Accommodation is fairly simple but spotlessly clean and definitely a step up from the very standardised apartments/bungalows we have stayed at elsewhere in GC. It's a surprisingly quiet complex of 28 bungalows just a few minutes from the Yumbo Centre. Plenty of dining options and a decent supermarket nearby.
We arrived after dark but were able to contact staff by phone and they were at the property within minutes. The local guy who registered us the following day could not have been more helpful and explained that breakfast is available until 1pm
The pool areas beautifully maintained and the grounds are extremely well kept.
Our only disappointment was the inflexibility on our day of checkout. Our flight wasn't until 7.30 pm and we had to vacate our bungalow by 12.00. We asked if we could pay a supplement for a late check out but were told that this was impossible as there were other people checking in and the room needed to be prepared. This was february and the complex was very quiet and there après to be many unoccupied bungalows, however, the maid's cart was parked on our terrace at 11.30am and we ended up poolside with our luggage beside us (there was no possibility of storing luggage on Tuesdays as its BBQ day.....) until we left circa 4.30.
The inflexibility on the last day DID take a little of the gloss off an otherwise terrific stay. Nevertheless we would not hesitate to recommend Artemisa and certainly hope to be able to stay there again on our next visit to GC
