My husband and I stayed here from Christmas till after the New year. Don't take any notice of the negative comments this hotel is great especially for families with young children. The staff including reception, restaurant, bar staff and cleaners are brilliant, they are friendly and can't do enough for you. The rooms are spacious and cleaned everyday and the grounds are immaculate. We upgraded to premium spirits/drinks which was well worth it and as we don't have young children we also upgraded to the adult only pool. The adult only pool was stunning and extremely quiet the only downside the bar only offered beer and fizzy pop it would ha e been nice to have a proper bar but the main pool bar wasn't too far away to fill up on drinks. Food...I am quite a fussy eater and there was plenty to choose from. The only down side of the food was that the meat and fish were often overcooked and the hot food was like warm. However every dietary requirement is catered for and you won't go hungry. The other thing I didn't like was all the children in the dining room that were badly behaved, but this is down to the parents. It would have been nice to have an adults only dining area. Food and drink were available 24 hours from reception plus there was a kettle in the room.. The walk to the beach wasn't too bad going down hill and by the end of the holiday I was certainly fitter walking either up the hill or up the 153 steps to and from the beach. All in all we had a great time and it would certainly be somewhere I could take the grandchildren although I wouldn't return with just me and the husband due to needing an adults only facility.

My wife, mum, dad and 2 children arrived on the 27th December for a week on a Jet2 holiday package. Check in was fine and we upgraded to family rooms and red bands. The bands made zero difference for our stay, but the rooms were great. I read reviews moaning about having to take pram up the stairs for these rooms, it’s like 10 steps, it’s so easy!! Rooms are sea view but you have a building infront of you that’s not the prettiest but for the money it’s fine and sunset is ok from the balcony. I have stayed in some of the best 5star hotels in the world and have been to many many countries, for work or holidays, so pls take my review seriously!! This hotel is a 4 star, but a very good 4star! The staff are great and the rooms were cleaned every day to perfection! The food, is one buffet hall really (small snack bar near pools) and the food was great for a 4star, plenty of choice, very fresh salads and meals and new year was exceptional!! They made a great effort. The main pool is like an ice bath, so only go down the slides if you got a big pair! The middle pool was a good temperature so don’t listen to the moaning on here, as warm as your get in Canary Islands and the kids pool was warm! (Not a bath obviously but perfect for the climate) kids loved it!!! (2yo and 5yo) Entertainment was as ropey as anywhere else on the planet, just what you expect, the kids loved the mini disco, dancing and doing the songs and the entertainers did it well with them got them all dancing, then the dolphin or whale called Panchi comes out for 30 seconds and waves to the kids which they love. It’s pleasant and a nice area. Don’t expect to play football, the pitch overlaps the tennis courts which are hired out by adults in the day so you get 10/15 kids playing in the park around the swings waiting all day for them to finish, only to see the next ones go on. A good upgrade would be a separate area for the kids to play from the tennis courts. Entertainers do some good games in the day with the kids and they all get involved and loved it. The beach is a nice 10 min walk down the hill roadside on the pavement. I personally enjoy walking so was ok for me and comfortably pushed the pram there and back on a few occasions and we thought the beach was great, me and my 5 yo son swimming in the sea jumping in the waves. It’s volcanic beach but nice under foot, not stony, definitely not Thailand, but a great beach for the kids none the less. They had life guards watching over you too! We loved it there and had great fun! It’s a 4 star hotel, but it’s a very good and clean one, with good staff and decent enough food and drink. Not a lot around it really, but a great needed week away in 27 degrees with sun till 19:30 at night, while England was cold, dark, miserable and covid obsessed! Hotel had good covid measures, not too much, but mask and glove while you get your food. Nobody asked you to put your mask on outside like some hotels, everyone was pretty sensible. Jet2 and Abora Interclub, thanks for a great break

This is our second visit to this hotel, came for Christmas / NYE in 2019 and returned for our first trip abroad as soon as allowed. We stayed the same period this time for NYE. What’s great: - We love the family room size, we love the separate rooms and the walk in wardrobe - makes life very easy and despite the two beds pushed together, for us it feels like a holiday when you aren’t sleeping on sofa beds!! - cleanliness - exceptional. The rooms were made daily with clean towels, the care taken in cleanliness was great. - the staff - especially in the kitchen, dining hall and bar areas. Managers greet you regularly. Vigilant lifeguards. - COViD - staff are consistent with the rules, could hear mask and glove rules being enforced - salads, fruit, breakfast all v good - NYE was wonderful, the food was amazing and we finally managed this time to bag VIP seating for the night. Fireworks were amazing over the beach area!! - animation team worked exceptionally hard. - self serve drinks - pool was a bit chilly but my two were in constantly and LOVED the slides - upkeep of grounds and the palm trees - lush! Especially the noisy parakeets! - lack of smoking around the pool What could be better: - variety of food, really struggled for the kids for basic plain chicken or fish. The kids food stand was really poor. Just beige. It was hard for my two to “jostle in” with the adults for decent protein. Lunch ok for pasta, snack bar very tedious. I feel this should be healthier encouragement for children PLUS reduce unaccompianed children wandering looking for something! - activities for kids - it seems like small kids are catered for well, but our two really struggled (8&10) felt animation was aimed either at adults or smaller kids. A better schedule for older kids such as organised football would be great. We only got asked to join for darts (the staff Member was awesome! Thank you!) but the kids had to be supervised by a parent under the age of 14. And asked once for a type of bowling. I didn’t see any kids specific activities posted anywhere. - I’m so sorry to say this but the adult entertainment could be better. I know the team work hard - the best we saw was Dancing Shoes. The NYE entertainment was really poor. It was a lot better 2 years ago. - booking the restaurant removed some of our spontaneity- we understood why, but the benefit of all inclusive for us is the freedom of time of day eating. Didn’t understand how it managed numbers when we just chose from a sheet… - I appreciate the balloon launch was for charity but it showed a hideous disregard for the local environment! Other stuff - the beach is gorgeous, walk down the hill or down the steps and spot the crabs on the rocks! - gorgeous cocktail bar at the bottom of the hill in the centro commercial - families get a cab to Holiday World - lots of fun rides, opens at 5pm and makes a lovely evening - Maspolomas is approx €9 and the Indian restaurant is beautiful! Plus a gorgeous evening walk. - reception staff have always called a cab for us All in all, we have enjoyed both of our holidays here. We wouldn’t return now as it doesn’t feel like the right fit for our older children but we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you!
