We stayed at this hotel for a week. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the bathroom was great with a really hot shower. The air conditioning was good for September however I think during the hot summer months of 30 deg plus it may not be powerful enough. The hotel itself is very well maintained. There was enough sunbeds around the pool, we chose the comfy beds everyday. Unfortunately I think there needs to be more shaded areas as the umbrellas easily blow down when the wind picks up. The majority of the staff are exceptional and very friendly. A huge thank you to the lady who worked every breakfast and lunchtime and was always pleasant when serving us drinks (apologises we didn’t get your name). Entertainment every night, although it was poor. The bars seem to open at different points throughout the day, rather than being open all day and night. On an evening you have to sit outside with the entertainment, there’s no escape to a quieter adults bar which is a shame. Breakfast by far is the best meal of the day, there’s lots of choice and freshly made omelettes are great. Lunch and dinner are ok. There’s a good range of salads and desserts but actual hot food selection is poor. We are lucky and eat the majority of food so didn’t go hungry, however if you’re a fussy eater you’ll probably struggle. The temperature of the food wasn’t hot enough, please turn up the heat on the hot plate area. Drinks were good, pop was fizzy which is unusual for all inclusive hotels. A selection of pre mixed cocktails, however mojitos are not included in the all inclusive. Such a shame when you have to pay €7 for lime, mint and sugar….everything else would be in your all inclusive. San Augustin is a quiet resort, the restaurants and bars are set in a shopping centre which is ok but would have been better with some beach type bars and restaurants. The beach is lovely and the resort is clean. We achieved what we wanted to at this hotel and that was a week of chill out time in the sunshine. Would I return, yes definitely but maybe not all inclusive, however bed and breakfast would be a definite.

Honest review normal middle class couple been in hotels for 40 years all over the world..well believe me when I say if you want some peace and quiet forget booking here .we are here at the moment room 710 (just so managers finally get the message)the food either breakfast or dinner is not worth turning up for it really is bad .the rooms are modern and sort of cleaned. The view is nice thats where it ends .the hotel has no sound proofing so imagine being in bed listening to kids running up and down the room above you at 1.30 in the morning .go on your balcony and listen to chairs scraping across the tiles every 10 seconds. Mums shouting at there kids ...never wanted out of a hotel so much in years of being in so many .the thick woman with the glasses on in reception should put the stressed out young familys together and let them get on with it ..adults only for us next time we have seen a beautiful hotel down the road in San Augustin called dunas adults only.try and get some sleep .really need out of here :(

Ignore all the negative comments about the food, the rooms, the cleaning and location. The rooms are nice and spotlessly clean. The food is not Michelin * but there is a good selection and plenty of it. The staff are very well trained and extremely helpful. I arrived very late but they had put out a late buffet (almost 11pm) for late arrivals. It is a short distance from town but they put on a couple of shuttle buses twice a day. I didn’t have to fight for a sun bed either. The only improvement I would make is to create a quiet zone where use of mobile phones is banned. Woman to my right spent all afternoon on a conference call and on the other side a group whose txt’s were pinging all day long. This isn’t the fault of the hotel just ignorant, selfish, loud guests who should know better !! I haven’t used any of the spa/gym facilities or the roof top restaurant but would stay here again

Room was more like a small apartment which was good as my daughter had her own room. But it was separate from the hotel and with absolutely no view. It would be a good room for family’s as you can’t hear the music from the room. The hotel was lovely and staff extra friendly. Entertainment every night although it wasn’t great. Food was just so bad tho that i was extremely happy that I didn’t go all inclusive. I had lunch in the hotel once and it was awful. Breakfast wasn’t much better but could manage a find something edible. Location wasn’t great either. San augustin centre is like it is a step back to the 70s with no life in it. Had to get taxis to plays de ingles to to see people!! Overall it was a nice hotel but not much around it. Beach was desolate with run down closed businesses. We travelled to amadores to the beach (50 euro in taxi) I’d recommend staying in a hotel in peurto rico or amadores instead.

The service at this hotel is unique - with very few exceptions. The staff consists of people who have been with the hotel for many years, and they all know what to do to make the customers feel happy. We have visited the hotel 15 times, and still plan to go back.

I can't fault this hotel, I came in May for 2 weeks and was so pleased with it that I came again in September for 16 nights, and I'm already looking at coming to stay for a month in June 2024, the rooms were fab, cleaned daily, super friendly staff, great food, plenty of sunbeds, great facilities, the gym was extremely well equipped, I have to mention a young lady who looked after us in the restaurant, her name was Inna Kavunova, she always greeted us with a lovely smile...Thank you Inna, and thank you Gloria Palace, I'll see you next June....and maybe before that...muchas gracias

This hotel has a Thalasso/Spa which was the primary reason for visiting this hotel after 5 years. The Spa experience was excellent, a large range of pools( hot and cold), hydrotherapy areas, sauna and treatments were available. We had 1-2 hours sessions daily- excellent timing for my recovery from Sciatica! Our room was fresh and clean and housekeeping came daily. Recommendation would be for the toiletries to be upgraded- separate shampoo and body wash would be welcome. Food was of a good quality and wide choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Possible addition of a vegetarian meat substitute ( Quorn,Soya meat ) may be a useful improvement. Clearer translations of food dishes please as sometimes difficult to ascertain the ingredients. Entertainment in the evenings was of various singers of fluctuating quality. Staff were friendly, welcoming and in most cases highly attentive giving the hotel an upbeat and calm vibe.

Fabulous hotel, excellent food, rooms large and spacious, very clean, the only negative comment is the sunbeds are too close together, the staff are polite, friendly and extremely helpful, the entertainment is fantastic, the courtesy bus is really handy as the hotel is quite secluded and positioned on a steep hill, there is a small shopping center a fifteen minute walk away which is great, however it is a steep climb back to the hotel

We enjoyed our stay at the Gloria Palace . Top floor room had a fabulous sea view , really friendly staff and loved the rooftop pool area . The main pool always has something going on , DJ on the Friday afternoon was great and if you don’t take yourself too seriously the disco on Friday was one of the best laughs of the holiday . Special mention to the entertainment guy who ( sorry don’t know name ) was fabulous dancing down in the club . The hotel is very clean and the rooms are large and beds very comfortable. We have been before and like to go out so did not eat dinner therefore cannot comment on evening meal, The buses to Playa del Ingles and Maspomas are really convenient and we would go out every night to these spots , hotel calls taxi for guests and it arrives in minutes . The resort itself is quiet but so easy to get to other places . The hotel staff we encountered were all fabulous .

Just Amazing.. A beautiful hotel with incredible staff.. My first solo holiday and Gloria Palace you did not disappoint. Free pool towels, plenty of food options, and finding a sunbed was never an issue at anytime of day which is a bonus of out for a while. An awesome splash pool for the little people.. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the beach, shopping centre and local bus stop which was just to easy and cheap to use to visit other resorts. Feeling safe and relaxed was my aim and I felt both 100%. So thank you Gloria Palace San Agustín for being simply fantastic.. I would definitely visit again and recommend.
