Was good until the last day when I was left angry upset and totally embarrassed on how I was treated in a full restaurant on my right to be in there I had booked half board and as I hadn't arrived until after midnight the day of arrival i had missed my first evening meal so I assumed as I wasnt told any different that I was entitled to my last evening meal after being questioned by first a waitress the the restaurant manager and then the hotel manager I walked out of the restaurant feeling totally embarrassed
Fabulous holiday, with 3 family birthdays celebrated in style with friendly and welcoming staff! Everything about this hotel is great! Special thanks to Debra Viera - we love you! & to Will! Thanks again to everyone who made our stay perfect! Hope to see you again soon! ☀️✈️☀️
Well what can I say am absolutely superb week here at Gloria Palace. Perfect weather, and excellent staff, especially Debora Viera 💖..!!! She’s a credit to the Hotel. Keep up the good work, we’ll definitely be back to visit.
The hotel is nice, rooms are a good size and the bathrooms look to have been refurbished. My room was cleaned daily and bottled water replenished. The majority of the staff I interacted with were pleasant and helpful. What lets this hotel down for me is the food. A total lack of vegetarian main courses. A couple of times I saw a bean or lentil based dish and asked the chef if it was vegetarian. No. He then pointed out potatoes, cauliflower and broccoli that were vegetarian. I ate salad and pizza most nights but I had to look carefully as often the 'salad' contained ham or fish. I had a couple of massages at the spa which were good, thank you Lei, and the coffee from one of the machines at breakfast was nice. It seems to be a good base for families/others who just want an all inclusive pool based holiday. The beach is nice and well kept although there is only one bar directly on the beach which gets very busy. …
Stayed as a family of 5 in the annexe rooms towards the end of April. Jet2 website said there was a kids club 10am-6pm with 2 movie nights a week and nightly entertainment. There isn't a kids club as such - the hotel runs an animations programme with typically 2 or 3 kids activities each day and a nightly mini disco. The kids activities seemed to involve something called 'splash games' for an hour daily where they met by the pool (not sure what this is as we didn't go) and typically a 45minute slot in 'Tina's club' which is the kids club room but was shut at all other times. There weren't any movie nights. This is fine, but frustrating when we paid more for this hotel specifically for the kids club and entertainment - had visions of bribing the kids to go to the movie night and getting to enjoy cocktails at the roof top bar! On the entertainment front I asked about this at reception and was directed to a touchscreen guest information monitor near the reception desk and the receptionist went into the animation section and said 'ah it's just mini disco tonight - nothing after' - this was disappointing as my kids are a bit too old for mini discos and we booked on the jet2 promise of daily professional acts, quizzes, djs & karaoke. We checked the touchscreen monitor on a daily basis and the only entertainment showing throughout our stay was a Michael Jackson tribute act one night. I queried with reception on 2 more occasions was there definitely no other entertainment and each time they referred me to the monitor and said no not tonight. On our last night we decided to sit in the bar anyway and play cards - guess what though a live band, followed by a juggling act which the kids loved. Really annoyed that reception told me there was no entertainment and we missed it all week. The bar area is right next to reception so I'm at a loss as to how several different members of reception staff all didn't know. Filled out a hotel feedback form with email address, but not so much as a token apology. The hotel need to supply info packs in the rooms as found myself constantly having to ask for info that should be privided e.g. how much is it to hire beds at the rooftop pool, can kids go up there if eating, etc. I've still (reluctantly) given 4 stars despite feeling a bit ripped off as aside from our poor experience the hotel itself is still good. Would recommend to anyone (families & couples) except perhaps those with non-swimming children as the pools are all deep so would be constantly on the go given absence of kids club.…
We visited over Easter, a family of 4 plus a grandparent. The 4 of us were in a family annexe which was a great size, with a separate bedroom for the kids which had a sofa in it. We were on the ground floor so had a nice big balcony. The annexe is near the pool too which was really convenient. My mum was in the main hotel and said the rooms were also big with great views. She had no problems with lifts as I had seen mentioned in previous reviews. The rooms should have been cleaned more regularly, although cleaners came each day they didn’t do much, not even change the cups or replenish tea/ coffee. We stayed half board. The food was standard hotel food, plenty of choice and fresh meats were cooked each night. I have had better kids choices and pasta dishes elsewhere. The breakfasts were good with fresh omelettes, pancakes etc. There was outdoor seating which we always like, but the tables outside were grubby and need updating. The evening entertainment was superb, plenty of variety and they involved the kids which they loved. This was a highlight of the holiday. The pools are good, kids liked the small splash park. There were always plenty of sun beds. The hotel is on a hill so there’s no grounds. The indoor pools were all closed which was a shame. We found the staff all friendly and helpful. SAN Agustin itself is small and nicely quiet but has everything you need. It’s about 10 minute walk to the beach. Don’t let the dark sand put you off. We found nice restaurants 5 minute walk from the hotel. The kids club was a bit of a let down - it’s hotel run and aimed at Spanish children. …
This hotel has been our favourite for many years and hasn’t disappointed us this year. All the rooms have been updated to a high standard - fabulous walk in showers. Beautiful pool area with brand new sun beds and loungers. Pool bar with lovely comfortable seating areas. Food is excellent. Cleanliness is very good and staff always helpful. Thank you Gloria Palace San Agustin
The personal is very nice in reception and around. The Hotel is really perfect, rooms and food is best. Just the cleaning is not the best the floors are not clean. But the rest is very good. I with like to big thank u to the guys from bar they are very friendly and nice working perfect Pedro & Juancarlos bravo 🙌
Absolutely fabulous. I’d have to be very picky to find faults here. The room was lovely, we upgraded to sea view and it was worth every penny. Food and service on all occasions was impeccable, yes, it’s a buffet, but what a range of food available! All top notch Great food Great service Great chefs Great waiting staff The pools where a little nippy but what do you expect in April! The entertainment was of a very high standard and the ents team on site work hard to make sure everyone has something to do If they want The hotel is stunning The location is excellent The food and service were impeccable Bars are open late The mini waterfall in reception is lovely The gardens/grounds and pool areas are all clearly well looked after and the reception staff couldn’t be more helpful if they tried Our room was cleaned to a great standard every day too I’d be back there right now if I could afford to again We will return, for sure, one of the best all inclusive holidays we’ve ever ever had :)…
The hotel itself was lovely. The room was really modern with a nice view, the pool was clean, spacious and beds by the pool were really comfy. Sadly, the food was awful. We are young students ourselves so are used to eating cheap food at times but we had to go out and pay for 3 meals in our 5 night stay as the all inclusive food was so bad. The drinks weren't great either (cocktails made with a push of a button on a machine) and served in really small glasses.
