Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Guests frequently commend Globales Apartamentos Verdemar for its cleanliness and helpful staff, though some have had less than positive encounters at reception. Its prime location is a highlight, with the hotel's close proximity to the beach and local amenities, coupled with breathtaking sea views, often mentioned in reviews. While the rooms are generally appreciated for their cleanliness and facilities, a few guests note their compact size and potential for noise. The vibrant atmosphere, with its varied entertainment, is popular, but it can contribute to noise disturbances. Additional charges for sunbeds and certain views, however, have left some guests feeling the hotel doesn't offer the best value.

We stayed here in October 2023 as a family of 4 (kids 18 and 6). The hotel is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean and all staff lovely. We stayed self catering, but the snack bar was lovely for lunches. Location perfect, on the seafront and within a 10 min walk from the centre of Santa Ponsa. We loved it so much we’ve just booked to go back in May. Highly recommend ❤️

I honestly really enjoyed my stay here!!, I went with my boyfriend and two friends for a week and it was ideal for us, the sea view is incredible so would definitely recommend paying extra for the upgraded room. The hotel in itself was extremely clean and the rooms were also spotless too and the air con worked wonders it was just very noisy and did leak quite abit but that wasn’t too much of a problem for us. The location is brill, it’s near loads of restaurants, bars, shops and the beach. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, we had one little issue with our keycard not working and it got sorted within 5 minutes. There’s only a few things that did let us down, the pool wasn’t the cleanest which was a bit off putting and having to pay €3.50 for a sun lounger everyday also came as a bit of a shock to us, the entertainment wasn’t the best but that didn’t really effect us because most nights we would be out doing other things. The good definitely overrides the bad and it’s genuinely a lovely hotel in a lovely area.

Stayed here at the start of October for our anniversary break. Great hotel for couples. Small pool but the sunbathing area is lovely as it opens up onto the sea! Sunbeds were 3.50 each to hire but worth that to know you are more than likely to get a sun bed at any point through the day. You really need to book a room with a sea view...our view was beautiful. Rooms are nice enough. Nice spacious shower and bathroom. Location is great..right in the middle of everything. Would definitely recommend.

We have stayed here once before and loved it so that’s why we returned a second time. Well worth paying for the sea view as the view is amazing. Sleeping with the doors open listening to the waves is amazing. The rooms are basic being a studio but it’s adequate for what you need. The rooms were cleaned daily which was nice and all the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. Of the two times we have stayed we never went round the pool as it was very busy however why would we when the beach is a 5 minute walk.

Accommodation: One bedroom apartment with sea view Adults: 3 Children: 0 Room: 203 Room wasn’t available when we arrived at approx 11am but this wasn’t a problem for us, so luggage left in the luggage room & we headed down to the pool and got a sunbed straight away. Sunbeds are €3.50 which I believe is a Spanish government thing. The hotel is cashless so buying food and drink you can do on card or pay money to reception who will load the money onto a contactless wristband, you can top up any time, check your balance at the bar and reception and any money left over you get back. Sunbeds are still cash. A sea view is a must and worth the extra money, amazing views over Santa ponsa bay and wonderful sunsets. Hotel is located perfectly and opposite are some lovely restaurants & a supermarket. Hong Kong Chinese over the road is one of the best I’ve had; so much we visited twice when we were there. The hotel provides lovely food, we ate at the hotel quite a bit and the meals were exceptional every time. Photos uploaded: Salmon & avocado toastie Roast lamb with vegetables BBQ chicken pizza Carbonara Fish & chips Carrot cake (they do cake and coffee for €5) Cocktails were also wonderful All the bar/kitchen/reception staff were friendly & accommodating. The hotel provides some great evening entertainment such as tribute acts, Bee Gee’s tribute was amazing! Without a doubt we would return!

Loved everything. Reception staff were all very friendly and helpful joules helped me several times with my internet connection sign in. Wifi signal was excellent. Hotels location is fantastic with stunning views over santa ponsa Bay and a short walk to the beach. The road in front of hotel has some good restaurants pacos being our favourite. family ran, great food and menu. Bars and nightlife are close by. Hotel is very clean and cleaning staff are very friendly. Tv has BBC and itv channels in English. One thing you should do is pay for the sea view as rooms in front are looking at a very high wall and do not get the sun. The view at back is worth the extra money.

When we arrived at the hotel we had a 3 hour wait for our room, not a massive deal but every other person who arrived the same time seemed to get their room first and one couple who complained about waiting were told they would be put in a sea view room that was available straight away. We then got to the room which was a different room to what we paid for and facing a huge wall, I phoned reception and asked if there was any other rooms available as we did not want to face a wall for the week, we then got given a key to look at a different room. This second room was the exact room I booked when booking this holiday (a one bedroom apartment room) and it was more ideal. We said that room was better and we would like to switch we were then told okay but it would be €140 euros, trying to explain to the reception man that this wasn’t an upgrade it was the room we originally booked, he cut us off mid sentence and said we had to pay, as we were tired from travelling and waiting so long we ended up paying the additional 140 euros. Which meant we had less money than we had taken and could not pay to eat out each day of our stay. Each morning we were woken up by workers/ metal trollies as the room was on level one so close to the ground this also was not ideal and very very noisy. Other than that stay was fine but would not rebook this hotel

Fifth time using Globales hotels but this is the worst one. Room 717 has private owner next door with barking dog throughout day and night complained but advised nothing he could do as private owner so put note under door and spoke to Jet 2 rep in morning who arranged to be moved to room 531 no wardrobes in rooms, insufficient lighting through room cracked wall tiles in shower but also needs larger shower door to keep water from flooding floor, toilet repeatedly kept flushing itself, no light on balcony. Plugs in kitchen area only allow electric kettle to stand on cooker. Drawer unit sliders given way so I mended them myself. First night husband found cockroach in bathroom. Television reception poor. Wi Fi poor. To add insult to injury after paying for holiday sunbeds are charged £3.50 per person per day. One day I counted 78 sunbeds so it’s a good little earner. So disappointed.
