From check in to departure it is not possible to say anything negative about this hotel. Every member of staff from management to cleaners were polite and helpful in the extreme. Hotel perfectly positioned overlooking the beach and sea. Many, many bars and restaurants right outside the doors. If you turn left you hit party town, not our cup of tea but many appeared to be enjoying it. Turn right for quieter bars and eateries of which there are many. We had a 7th floor apartment which was plenty big enough for us. A decent lounge diner with kitchen area, fully equipped for self catering. Large bedroom with huge bed plentiful wardrobe space for all. Modern bathroom which was immaculate. Outside the door a private patio with sunbeds and outdoor furniture meant you did not have to move if you did not want. Bedding and towels changed every other day and cleaners were fastidious. Pool area and sun deck with plentiful loungers for all. Pool bar run by the lovely Michelle was well priced and very comfortably furnished. Very good supermarket within 100M meant self catering was very easy. A special shout out for the brilliant Marta who remembers everything and nothing is too much trouble.

Just returned from a 4 night stay in the Sun Beach Apartments.
Positives:
1. Very good location, central to many bars and restaurants, short walk to beach. 2. Pool area is quiet and lots of sun beds available throughout the day. No rush to secure sun beds on a morning. 3. Bloody Mary cafe, situated outside the front door of the apartments, lovely food, great service, ideal for breakfast and lunch. 4. Most apartments are either sea, or pool view, very scenic and lovely to look at.
Negatives:
1. On arrival, check in was slow. Only one person at desk, and overall, staff not very helpful. 2. Apartment wasn’t cleaned to an acceptable standard, resulting in requesting room to be cleaned again. 3. General housekeeping eg. emptying of bins / changing of towels & bedsheets, not regular enough. 4. Appearance of apartment was worn and tired, needed an update and immediate TLC. 5. Pull out bed in the living space, very uncomfortable, mattress too thin. 6. Pool area clean and tidy, but sun beds need washing as very dirty. In the 5 days we were staying, didn’t see any pool side maintenance. 7. No extra touches in the apartment provided. eg. Soap, shower gel etc.
When speaking to others guests, we realised they were allocated refurbished rooms, and spoke highly of them. If thinking of staying at this property, we would recommend you ask / book a refurbished apartment, as the one we stayed in, was a standard room.
Overall, location and short walk to beach makes Sun Beach Apartments an ideal place to stay, but if visited again, would definitely book a refurbished room.

I can't praise all the staff at these appartments enough. Reception staff were so friendly and helpful, cleaners were always smiling and kept rooms and all areas spotless. Even the maintenance guys were very helpful The appartments are a bit basic but large and clean. The lifts were a bit of unusual (3 to get to level 6) but not a problem to us. I have to say a special thanks to the manager, because despite of my wife having a bad accident (30 stitches in her leg) he went all out to make our holiday as good as possible.

An absolutely fantastic hotel/apartment. The kitchen is very small but had most the things you need really. They provide washing up liquid, a sponge, cloth and tea towel too. Toaster, microwave and hair dryer all provided. Iron upon request. You have to pay to use the safe and leave a €5 deposit too. A very reasonable (compared to other ‘supermarkets’ on the strip) The place is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The cleaning ladies do a great job and the guys and Martha at reception are fantastic and very helpful. Any issues we had in our room (9th floor) were resolved quickly. There are 3 lifts to get to the 9th floor, not ideal but atleast there are lofts available. The pool is nice BUT there are not enough umbrellas, literally about 4! Typical brits put their towels down and don’t turn up to the beds for hours later which the hotel guard should really manage. The hotel has a perfect location, a 3 min walk to the beach. €20 euros for a set of deckchairs/umbrella which isn’t bad. The sea is beautiful and if you’re on the 9th or 7th level you get a decent view of it. The hotel is located by a lot of Irish bars. The bus stop to Palma city it to the right hand side of the hotel (103) which is handy for a day out. I would definitely stay here again

Had a week here September 24 , check in was fine and staff very friendly and helpful Paid for a safe €5 deposit and €2 a day to hire ( usually free now in most hotels) we also paid and hired beach towels which were ok Pleasantly surprised by the nice big room, aircon in both the living area and bedroom, decent tv with all the basic English channels , standard apartment kitchen, kettle, toaster, microwave etc, nice balcony with a good view….so far so good. The lift situation is quite strange, we were on the 6th floor and had to get 3 lifts to our room, we were surrounded by noisy guests on both sides and above which wasn’t good at all, but apparently the noisy guests were removed from the hotel and it settled down. The beds were as bad as any we have ever slept in , poor mattress and ill fitting sheets. The pool area is a decent size and plenty of beds but all looked a bit grubby and not very welcoming, the hotel is in prime location for the beach, bars , restaurants etc, to summarise it was ok but we would not stay here again or return to Santa Ponsa

We had a sea view apartment on the 5th floor, the apartment was clean and had plenty of space for the two of us. Shower was good, bed comfortable and it had a nice balcony. The staff were all helpful and the room cleaned regularly. Santa ponsa itself has a great beach only 5 minutes away, I would advise buying picnic chairs if you want to avoid the very expensive beach sun beds. Found a couple of nice restaurants Xaloc and Las Olas but you need to book these. Carlos 111 had a nice bar

Great experience, I had read some negative reviews about the cheap rooms (they are the ones on the lower floors) so I canceled and explicitly asked to be put on the upper floors, they also gave me the discount! Clean apartments and friendly staff. The only drawback when they have to make rooms put the elevator "out of service" although it is not true that it has problems but it is the cleaning ladies who use it. Not really nice if you are on the seventh floor and the pool on the first... With all the stairs wet because they throw water down (my husband with flip-flops slipped, luckily he wasn't hurt too much). So good but not great. Great location for the center of Santa ponsa (which is not a nice country, bad sea, ugly buildings and ugly ultra tourist shops). We were looking for a place to spend a night in 4, I would never stay longer. There is no parking!! And it's a Santa Ponsa parking nightmare!

Well, once again we had a wonderful holiday in Santa Ponsa in early October and we stayed at the Sun Beach Hotel. A great experience. What lovely staff from the reception crew to the cleaners. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely one-bed apartment on the eighth floor with sea view. The apartment was immaculate and the spacious rooms were great. We had lovely weather lying at the poolside and as it was early October we had no problem getting a sun lounger. The hotel has a great position at the top of the town which gives you easy access to all parts of Santa Ponsa. Michael on reception was very pleasant when we arrived and the cleaning staff were so helpful when we needed extra pillows. It was lovely to see Johanna again who is delightful and so kind. We did not get a chance to say goodbye to Johanna before we left to thank her for her care but we will see her when we go back at the end of April 2023 for our 10 day holiday. Another great holiday. Thank you.

Went there on the 2/9/22 with jet2. We had a night flight so arrived at Sun Beach at 2am very tired. Upon check-in we were given room 614 and was told we had to go in lift to 3rd floor across a bridge to another lift up to floor 7 then walk down a flight of stairs to floor 6 then find 614 so followed door numbers 612,613 no 614 eventually found it right down the other end which was very strange, the room was dirty, hair all over the bathroom and all the floor dirty so had to clean myself after that we crashed out. Next day woke to a crap view, room was quite all week, floors never mopped but towels and bedding changed every second day, pool area could do with a good scrub but was OK some times when the louts weren't there, never once saw a jet2 rep anywhere. Santa Ponca its self was wonderful, once you got away from the Irish and Scottish drinking crap holes and made your way to the beach it all changed, the Spanish are superb, every night there was some sort of entertainment ie night 1 :full orchestra , 2: foam party, 3: fire Festival 4: movie on big screen,5: medieval markets etc and the beach itself has golden sand and clear water, the resort is massive with lots to see and do at the back of the hotel go left and follow the road you will find a place called the Square another part of the resort, scooter hire is expensive at 50 euro for 1 day when you can get a car for 65 euro you also have Burga King and Mcdonalds by the beach, the restaurants are excellent food is great , Bloody Mary and Sun burgers are superb..I give Santa ponsa 10/10.

We booked these apartments months ago for a check-in date of 21st Sept. We have stayed here previously so we were happy enough to book again. The day before we planned to fly out (19th Sept) we received a message from the manager of the apartments informing us that our booking has been cancelled because after our previous stay there we gave them a bad review. Firstly I do not recall giving these apartments a review let alone a bad one and as we had booked again to go any review I did give can't have been that bad. To,wait until the day before we were due to fly out to cancel our booking is a horrible thing to have done. Anyone who has booked these apartments then beware and take heed of our experience.
