A great hotel. Great location, a very short walk 5mins to the beach, bars, shops but far enough out that it’s quiet. Pool is good as it has baby pool, middle pool and then deep pool. Lifeguard on duty although not sure how aware of what’s going on he is. Always enough sun beds and don’t need to reserve at break of Dawn- we would reserve on the way to breakfast at 8ish. The Food was varied and plenty, breakfast, lunch and dinner a wide buffet. Always a meat and a fish being cooked fresh at lunch and dinner and pancakes and eggs at breakfast cooked freshly. Some traditional dishes and some British (pizza and chips). Lovely salads. Lots of ice cream and cakes and lots of fresh fruit. Snacks such as toasties, burger, hot dogs and chips available in between meals, we found this useful if we wanted to leave the hotel before lunchtime, we could have a toastie before we went or after we got back and miss lunch buffet. Drinks are plenty, known brand soft drinks. Wine, sangria and beer on tap and not problem to ask for a spirit from behind the bar. Entertainment was good and varied, kids disco each evening at 8:30. Rooms were clean and spacious and modern. Rooms cleaning did happen a little early for us, 9:30 (when the pool didn’t open until 10) was sometimes a bit of a rush and if you asked them to come back later they often didn’t. We were all inclusive but still had a kitchenette and table in our room which was handy (well the fridge was). All the areas of the hotel are clean. Staff work hard and are friendly and helpful. A little supermarket just up the road if you don’t want to go to the town. The hotel opposite (Jutlandia) is bigger and it seems we could have visited the hotel facilities over there but we preferred the Plazamar as it’s smaller and a bit quieter. The entertainment team did offer the occasional game of water polo and basketball in the pool or darts and pool but having a teenager I felt this could be a little more frequent. The 5min walk to the beach and town is worth it. Town comes alive at night (and I’m glad our hotel wasn’t in amongst it) there is a mini funfair, mini golf at the other end of the beach. The beach is lovely, shallow and calm sea. All in all a great hotel, I would return.

Just on our last day and what a holiday we’ve had! We’ve two children aged 2 and 4. Can’t fault the hotel at all. Was quite skeptical when booking, but arrived and loved every minute! We went self catering but the buffets are €15 per adult children are free this includes all the food and drinks inc alcohol. Food changes every day and is really really nice. Rooms cleaned every day, fresh bedding and towels. Rooms are clean, white and modern no 1920s looking rooms. The pool closes 10am-6pm and is fenced off to stop little ones slipping in. No hassle to get sun loungers even at 1pm in the afternoon. Ideal location, a 5 minute walk from the town full of restaurants and life. Mini kids disco every night at 8:30pm, entertainment from 9:30pm that changes daily. Staff so helpful, we needed to hire a pushchair asked at reception at 4pm we had it delivered to the room by 6pm for €25. Really family orientated, staff don’t even bat an eye lid at children crying or dropping food ect. So much to do in the area, bouncy castles, rides, trampolines, family bars, boat trips, the beach is beautiful and little carts with slides can be hired. Close to the bus stops, 25 min transfer from airport. Just an amazing holiday overall, the pools are cleaned daily, we’ve come during the school holidays yet the pools aren’t overcrowded at all. Plenty of slides to keep children entertained. The only downside we found is that there are a lot of steps in the hotel meaning having 2 pushchairs it’s difficult to get up and down, there is easy access on a ramp that takes you round the pool but during high season there’s so many sun loungers and people it can be like the dodgems but that’s no fault of the hotels! Amazing and can’t wait to return. Best place we’ve came for families.

We stayed at the Plazamar for a week a the beginning of June. I booked a private taxi which was a bit more expensive but so worth the money as we got a text to tell us they were waiting and the drivers name etc the driver lifted all our luggage and was so helpful we used a company called Cabbik. Plazamar only short distance from airport which was so lovely, when we arrived the reception area smells so clean and fresh and we had a warm welcome from receptionist. Had to wear wrist bands which was a little bit annoying as we weren’t all inclusive 🤔our apartment was a one bedroom apartment and it had a lovely balcony with views of the street and mountains. Beds were so comfortable, all kitchen things you need and the shower in the bathroom was amazing always hot water. Cleaning staff were so good our apartments were spotless and cleaned every two days. We paid for all inclusive two nights was lovely but couldn’t do it for a week. Pool area lovely and slides were great for kids. Kids club was really good kids loved it and Ali was so friendly and caring. Entertainment was good in the evening Max was great with the kids with mini disco giving them sweets and balloon making such a nice guy. The shows were ok kids loved them but not that great for adults but kids were impressed. Fab location too just short walk to beach. Defo would return here loved it 😍 apartments are quite a distance from the nightlife and the square which didn’t bother us. Just to note that Mallorca very expensive now it’s more expensive than Ireland 😩 make sure you have plenty spending money💰

Unfortunately, we weren't very impressed with this hotel. I am not one to write a review about a place after staying there, however, I feel I need to let others who might be thinking of staying here and the staff know about our experience here. Upon arrival, all we wanted to experience was a quick and easy check-in but instead, we experienced a 30-minute wait. A member of staff who had ignored us at the desk for the past 10 minutes then reported to us that our room still hadn't been cleaned despite us arriving at about 3:30 pm even though we were told we could check into our room at around 2 pm and so we politely accepted this and waited for another 20 minutes for our room to be ready. After entering our room, we were disgusted and disappointed as we were met with an unclean room after being told it was ready for us and so it should have been clean. Instead, there were hairs and dirt on the floor, pillows, and bedsheets. As well as this, there was no handsoap which I feel is a necessity for basic hygiene reasons. After paying for a studio room, the price we paid should have included basic items such as this. At this point, we were fed up with our experience at this hotel already, but instead of going back to reception to let them know about this and us having to deal with another slow experience of having our room ready, we decided to clean the room ourselves and went out to buy some soap from the local supermarket, which after a long day travelling, was the last thing we wanted to do. It is with regret that we hadn't said something to reception as when we went to bed, later on, we discovered the sheets were very dusty, dusty to the point where we had joked how the room probably hadn't been touched since before COVID. Apart from this, the staff seemed lovely, despite our experience at reception. I'm really disappointed to have had this experience and I hope that this was a one-off but it's just not good enough. For a hotel, hygiene is one of the most basic, yet important aspects to get right, and these basic standards weren't met.

Location is great 5 minute walk to the beach there's a short steepish climb up a hill that could be an issue for the less mobile when returning to the hotel. The restaurants in the resort are a bit hit and miss, we had a meal at the Portafino and I had fish, its hard to describe how poor it was, very deep fried mush is a fair stab at it. Most of the restaurants serve exactly the same food their menus are identical. Beach is great! I've read lots of reviews about this hotel and many of them refer to an adjoining door between rooms, I've no idea where these rooms are, we never had one. The staff are very friendly and helpful apart from one a bruiser on reception, she appears very resentful of tourists being there and doesn't interact with anyone. We were told on arrival the rooms would cleaned every other day, we stayed 11 nights the room was cleaned twice and bedding and towels swapped 3 times. Restaurant area is filthy I wouldn't have eaten there even if I had paid for it. Pool area is fine plenty of sunbeds just not big enough practically sat on top of each other. Some of the ground floor rooms are opposite the restaurant seating area and diners were absent mindedly sat staring at us as they chewed open mouthed on pizza. Not the worse place I've stayed at, far from it, would I return....no

Our stay was wonderful. There were a few things I would change personally, but not much the hotel could do about them. There is a perfect pool area, the kids are has two slides ideal for toddlers and a deeper side, which is quite deep. The pool is clean and it is fully fenced off at night. There are plenty of sun beds and a notice saying you can not reserve until 9am. Pool opens at 10am. The room was clean and plenty of facilities inside. We had a two year old with us and the third bed was a comfy pull out bed but there was an offer of a cot. There is a hairdryer in the room and an oversized shower. The only downside to our room was that there was an adjoining door, I assume is when there is a big family and they need two rooms. The door was locked but we could hear more from that side of the room and see if next door had their light on. And I assume they could hear us too. Our room was on the ground floor which was handy as we had a pram and a brilliant location but again, we could hear the entertainment at night. Not the end of the world but if you request a ground floor room then this would be something to consider. But they were clean and roomy! The food is good and there is plenty of selection of drinks and food. Pretty much something for everyone. They seem to Tey and do a themed food each night, one was sushi, another was kebab and wraps provided and another Mexican. Lots of the food was cooked fresh in front of you. The hotel is around 5 minutes walk from the centre and the beach, so a fabulous location. Staff were brilliant including carrying our bags up to our room. Entertainment was good. Something different each night and a kids mini disco at 8.30 each night. All in all, I would return and I would reccomend to friends!

Booked the holiday 7 of us and can honestly say it was fantastic from start to finish . Booked with jet2 and had no problems at all. The rooms clean and modern , the restaurant had plenty of choice every day with snack in-between the main menu . Staff really friendly .The main chef looks a bit grumpy but the minute you ask him how he is you get a big smile and he sings now and again .The staff work hard and keep it all tidy and clean . Three pools and plenty of sun beds . The Santa Ponsa Beach is a short 10 minute Walk and the bars and restaurants serve great food and drinks . No rowdy magaluf teenagers here all family all good . At the beach you catch the boat trips dolphin watch etc jet skis .The booking shop is on the walk down where shops are . My whole family from a 2 year old 9 and 17 all found plenty to do . The beach is clean and shallow as you go in .when you go into the sea take some bread and when up to waist crumble and sea the fish all round you my grandsons loved that . We ate out three nights to chill and people watch as you do and watched the sun set . Thoroughly recommend jet2 and hotel and Santa Ponsa .will definitely go back. Thank you all

I booked plazamar for myself, my partner and our 5 month old baby as Mallorca is a short flight and the hotel looked okay with jet2. As we arrived, we was greeted with a unhappy receptionist who I could tell just couldn’t be bothered to be there. Also another receptionist I spoke to when we had to get our room keys to work again as they stopped working, was rude as she was speaking on her mobile phone and carried on her conversation whilst trying to talk to me.
Two other families arrived with us and there rooms were ready however we was told that our room was not ready and she said she was unsure when our room would be ready. I explained that we would just sit and wait in reception until it was ready as the baby was grumpy, hot and tired. She then said our room was ready actually and told us the room number and pointed to the stairs and said that way. We had to take 3 cases and a pram up the stairs as we didn’t have a clue where we was going. We found out by ourselves later that day that there is a ramp on the other side of the hotel (Would have been nice to be told on arrival). We arrived at our room with cases etc to be told by the cleaner that it was not ready and we needed to come back in 10 minutes. When we eventually got into the room, the room was nice and spacious and right next to the pool on the ground floor so can’t really complain about the spot. The room had a door leading into the apartment next door which was locked. We could hear everything from our neighbours however wasn’t an issue as we had a screaming baby so I reckon they suffered the most. Needs a good clean and touch up as the room had makeup stains all on the wall, aircon looked like it was about to blow up and the remote had no buttons, food left in the cupboards from the previous guests, back of the remote had no back and table was all crusty therefore I asked reception for some cleaning things and I cleaned it myself (The cleaner was stood there and didn’t look too happy). We was self catering so didn’t try the food however people we met there said it was fab! We watched 1 mini disco and felt very sorry for the entertainer as could see he was trying his best as a one man team but struggled (I used to be a Thomas cool rep for 5 years so I can’t be too judgemental as Iknow how hard it is). Pool doesn’t open until 10am which again wasn’t ideal as wanted to get out with the baby early doors before it got too hot but had to wait till 10 to go into the pool. The owner (I think she was the owner) was lovely as she spoke to us whilst we waited for a taxi to palma and told our taxi driver where to drop us as she said that was the perfect spot in the centre. Maybe music around the pool would be an idea. Pool clean and floats all available and astroturf which is great as no children slipping. Location is great as
Only a short walk to bars and beach. There was a festival on the week we went which was great however struggled to get into some restaurants as it was so busy so we had to reserve-
Also think that some places see the pram and think “A baby, no thanks”. If you’re looking for cheap and cheerful holiday then Plazamar is the one.

We have just got back yesterday from
This hotel and what an amazing time we had.
The hotel itself is in a great location a five minute walk to Santa ponsa beach and shops and restaurants.
When we arrived the receptionist was very welcoming and lovely towards our youngest daughter.
The rooms are spacious and clean.
We were self catering and so had a two ring hob, microwave, toaster etc.
we chose to do self catering as we wanted to eat out each night and try different foods.. there is a option for all inclusive per day you can add but this has to be a minimum of 3 days together, but you can pay for lunch per person all inclusive each day and it’s 15 for adults and 11 for kids..and this includes food and drink for 2 hours. You will receive a ticket you put on the table and just show them it to prove you have payed the timing of this is 1-3. We didn’t do the tea one as we ate out each night somewhere different.
The hotel staff are lovely.. max the daytime entertainer is brilliant always something going on. Each day there is an activity at 11am.. my daughter did a pizza making competition and t shirt decorating too which was lovely.
The pool itself it’s great a big pool for older children and two smaller pools both with slides.. it is the perfect depth of water for young children to be safe.
You will be given a token each when you arrive which will be exchanged for a plastic cup as you’re only allowed plastic by the pool.. these cops can be swooped for a new one whenever you like.
Our youngest Went to the kids club which can I say was brilliant.. very equipped and the lady Alison who is English was so lovely and it all felt safe leaving her there for a little bit each time she went. Alison was so friendly and our daughter couldn’t wait to go there and wouldn’t want to leave until we said she can go to the pool again.
The hotel is so clean and tidy and has a stylish look and feel
About it and had nothing but a good time starting here.
Our daughter turned 4 on our second to last day and they got her a present and left it in the room.
The weather was absolutely perfect, the room was very hot of a night time and that is the only thing I would say I won’t miss is how warm it was of a night bur then august abroad what else did we expect.
I couldn’t fault this hotel and the vibe it gave.. and Santa ponsa itself is so beautiful.
The beach is gorgeous white sand and clear waters.
We are so sad to be home as we had such a lovely time away and a fab stay at this lovely hotel.
Pirates adventure show is a must and about 8 minutes in a taxi.. we also did the dolphin show and we did a dolphin boat experience which goes from Santa ponsa beach.

Booked studio apartment for 4 of us self catering. Nice apartment overlooking the pool and mountains. Very clean and serviced daily. Facilities were good with kids especially loving the pool and the daily water activities such as water polo and basketball. The hotel and grounds are not huge so it felt safe and we were never concerned that kids were miles away and out of sight. Staff all pleasant and helpful with any queries etc. We weren't all inclusive but did eat and drink at Plazamar and found the food and drink to be nice and reasonable value for a hotel. There is an option to upgrade to all inclusive on a daily basis if wanted, although we did not decide to do this and instead enjoyed the many bars and restaurants located nearby in Santa Ponsa. Nightly entertainment on site was enjoyed by the kids and offered enough variety to make it good for the adults too. Plazamar is in an excellent location only 5 minutes stroll into the town centre and the beach. It is also close to a main taxi rank and bus terminus should you wish to travel into Palma or one of the other resorts nearby. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at the Plazamar and would not hesitate to go again. We have been back nearly a week and the children are still refusing to take off their Plazamar wristbands, so that says it all really.
