This is a brilliant hotel for a family break. The room we had was spacious and clean with the balcony overlooking the pool, it was perhaps a little dated but had everything we needed. The pools are excellent and there was never any issues with loungers, there was a great atmosphere around the pools. The staff are brilliant and friendly. The food was really good with something different on lunch and dinner menus everyday. The all inclusive drinks were limited which was a little disappointing and the hotel should consider expanding what is included. The entertainment team are superb, the pirates attack came as a bit of a surprise but the kids loved it. There are shops and supermarkets really close by and the beautiful beach is a 5 minute walk away. We had a brilliant time and would recommend.

I put up a review about my stay from May of last year, you asked me to private message yous about this, there is no option to message yous so I sent an email on the 02/04/2024 and I am yet to receive any sort of response. This whole thing could have been avoided if we were approached at the time of our stay. We had been in contact twice with Beverly and Moe the on site manager at the time about the ceiling leaking to which we received no response. This lack of action resulted in the air conditioning unit falling from the ceiling and narrowly missing me. We had to call a further two times about this and yet again received no response, there was a young child in the room and the circumstances could have been a lot worse. The lack of action from management is appalling. This resort has not adhered to health and safety standards in how they have secured the air conditioning units aswell as the conditions of the resort itself. The pool surfaces are uneven broken and sharp. The safety precautions for the slides are lack luster and not safe at all. The life guards are very passive about their jobs also. For anyone thinking of staying here I urge you to reconsider. Avoid this resort at all costs

I visited Pirates Village with 3 children. I felt safe the whole time and well looked after. The food was delicious, really nice everyday, no complaints at all, always hot and quiet dining rooms - It was a pleasant experience. Most days the pools were too cold for the children but the beach is only a 5 minute walk and it is beautiful so we spent most of our time there. There are plenty of shops nearby. The entertainment is not great but we did enjoy a pirates show on the Saturday night which was a circus type show with external entertainers rather than the hotel staff. The sunbeds were locked away overnight which was great as it prevented people putting towels down and not coming back for hours so the process was fair for everyone to have a sunbed that wanted one, some people spent an hour of their holiday waiting around for them to be unlocked in the mornings but if that's how they want to spend their holiday, fair enough. The kids club was excellent! My only complaint was paying 20 euros for one photo of the children with the pirates. We have stayed all over the world and never been charged for photos. Overall a lovely family holiday.

Upon arriving at the hotel I was really impressed with the outside of the hotel and so were the kids. When we arrived we checked in and was given the keys. I wasn’t offered any help to get to the room which was annoying as you could see I was struggling with 2 kids, a buggy and 2 suitcases. Rooms were basic but clean and all you needed. Entertainment was the best I’ve ever had. The pirate shows were unbelievable and my little girl loved the mini disco. The pirate team are crazy and it made it so unique. The pirate takeover was incredible and one for all of the family. I was really scared about having a holiday with just me and a 2 + 4 year old but the hotel was perfect. They had the best time every day. So much going on. We went to the kids club once which was great but they preferred to be by the pool. The pool was freezing but I’m guessing it’s not heated because of the time of year. The kids didn’t seem to mind and spent most of the time in it. The beach isn’t too far away (10 min walk) and it’s nice and calm whilst being surrounded by shops and restaurants. We were all inclusive and there was always something to choose from. Could always find a table and it wasn’t manic. All staff were lovely and really helpful/ polite. I will definitely be returning. If your child loves pirates then this is the place for them and even if not they will have a great time. The only negatives I would say is there isn’t any bins around the pool area and the shows were often late which means the kids were waiting around for a long time whilst seated but once started they were great.

Supposed to be family friendly but we were a family of seven and we weren’t allowed to put the tables together to sit as a family in the bar area. They were set out as tables of four and when we pushed 2 together we got told to put them back…The pool was absolutely freezing, so maybe they should invest in some heating for cooler months…. Rooms were very basic and in need of a refurbishment.. had 2 hob rings and couldn’t see what numbers they were on as they had worn away!!! Entertainment was absolutely rubbish… mini disco every night for kids but our kids were bored with the same thing every night… Circus entertainment was a joke 😂🤣 pool closed at 6 and they started to clear away at 5.15… lights out at 11…Terrible service in bar, John was very rude… would we go again???? Definitely not…

I would go back but iv rated a 3 star because I feel it is fair to say it's 3 star hotel. Rooms - really clean, a little run down with some items broken but nice and big plenty of storage space only down side was no full length mirror. Pools - Brilliant, cold in April (1st week so to be expected) but didn't stop the kids (6 & 9) the slides are great fun for them and allowed rings and lilos so kids happy. Lifeguards friendly. Entertainment - Pirates are great fun lots on day and night for kids. Apart from a Wednesday. Food - we were self catering but paid for breakfast one day for 4 of us it cost 60 euro very overpriced and the food was not nice at all so that was a bit disappointing but we only done it once, lots of nice restaurants round about. We had toasties some days at lunch from snack bar lovely. Overall - We booked 5 days and had a late flight in on the first day so basically 4 days and on a wenedsay no entertainment at all, this was disappointing not to know this when we were only there for 4 days so had to go out for the day/night to amuse kids but we went to sol katmandu which was brilliant, highly recommend. You can't hire towels for the pool which was a bit disappointing so had to go and buy towels but my own fault for not checking before. Room Key only allowed one key so a bit annoying going back and forward with key if someone going out to shop etc. Kids loved it and we would go back but just be more prepared for next visit. All staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Late review- 7days self catering Room - very basic, leak in ceiling that wet the kitchen once Fake grass - was very dirty don’t drop clothes on it Main pool - very deep had to keep and eye on the little one Pirates - mental but the kids loved them Sunloungers - biggest issue here was the morning fight for Sunloungers, they lock them up at night and unchain them early morning, what you have to do is go down very early and lay your towel down in the space you want, then go back when they unchain the Sunloungers at 10am and make a mad dash to put them were your towels are. In the 7 days we stayed the cleaners came once, no fresh towels or toilet roll which is why it should have it’s rating lowered Overall this holiday was about he kids and they really enjoyed it but parents get ready for another holiday that you will need after this one.
