We stayed here for a week. The hotel it’s self was very clean, only certain staff was polite. Our room was always kept cleaned every day. It states when you book, there would be entertainment on a regular. There was a hour of an evening from 10pm-11pm of a singer or bingo. There was nothing at all throughout the day for younger children, even a evening there was no entertainment what so ever. Some parents rely on entertainment for children. The indoor pool would be only open if the life guard wasn’t outside, for the other pools. This is very unsafe and dangerous having one life guard for all 3 pools. It states it’s open between 10am-6pm which it wasn’t open at all throughout those times. The pools wasn’t secured at night at all. The food was appauling, very repetitive all 7 days I was on holiday. The food was sometimes raw the chicken, all meats was not always cooked correctly. I was seriously ill my last evening due to having raw chicken from the hotel evening restaurant. There was a selective of different cocktails, on all inclusive which was great. Throughout my stay I will NOT be staying again.

Been here for 5 days still 2 to go hotel is lovely and clean food ok although a little cold sometimes. Staff very friendly and helpful . The only couple of niggles are you have to have a plastic cup(which is allocated on arrival) to get your drinks during the day if you forget it you have to go bk to reception to buy another one . There is no bottled water again you have to fill a cup up very unusual in all inclusive. We decided to go out for the day so asked if we could take a picnic but no this is not included either. Apart from that it’s ok

We have stayed in this hotel for 1 week all inclusive. The hotel itself is good. It's clean, the rooms are being cleaned every day (although there is a date 1year old on mirror visible only after showering). Regarding rooms there's not too much to complain. We had a room that had a view on some other hotel but that one was closed. Tv has channels in many languages. The AC is average. It does work, but it still will be a little bit to hot. Nice thing is that you get 2 cards so you can leave 1 so that the AC works while you're away. Wifi has good coverage, although it isn't the fastest. Nice thing is that they have some instructions in different languages (when are the meal times). The people in reception often speak German and English (most guests are from these countries), but also one of them spoke polish. Also there's a place where you can see informations when you have a return bus + there are people from tui every day. If it comes to food you won't be hungry. You can basicly eat whole day long (with few breaks for about 40min). The food may not be something extraordinary but everyone should find something for him/herself + it tastes good. You can park a car for free too. One bigger store is few hundred meters away, some smaller ones are closer (even across the street). Bus going to palma is like 500m away. The beach is very beautiful. The pools are ok, but it might be hard to find some sunbed during the day. The elevators are rather slow, so you can wait for it 1-2min or go by foot. There are also few towels in the room, also additional ones that you can take to a pool. There are many atms around, 1 even in the hotel lobby.

I booked a holiday with good faith under the TUI brand as I have done many years previously. It was fairly difficult to research on Trip Advisor the name of the hotel as it was previously known as Globales Santa Ponsa Park, but your website advises this is now named TUI Suneo Santa Ponsa. The official rating of the hotel as shown on your website is 4 star, TUI have used a TUI rating of 3 T’s. Queues at check in We arrived at the hotel on Saturday 14th August and to our dismay it took over 2.5 hours to check in. This is where the problems started. The reception had two staff checking in a number of families on the same coach as us. In my experience of all holidays I have ever received it has never taken this long. In terms of the length of time taken, this was not to discuss COVID related issues, it was just the genuine check in time. Air conditioning Upon arrival in our room, we turned on the air conditioning and it was like something from the 70’s with hardly any cold air going in to the room. I went down to reception on day 1 and was advised that are “not allowed” to turn up the air conditioning, why would this be the case in peak season and the hottest month in Mallorca. The receptionist suggested to leave a plastic card in the sensor continually and come down again on the 15th September if there was no improvement. I returned on the morning of the 15th September and was advised that the only alternative was to hire a fan for the two rooms that we had (which were an adjoining family room). I hesitantly hired 2 fans for less than 6 nights at a cost of over 30 euros. In addition to this, on some evenings, the air conditioning and temperature in the restaurant were unbearable, with people using manual fans. Again, never had I seen this before, in way higher temperatures. Star rating The queuing nightmare at the reception was only the start of the holidays. I realised this was a sign to come in what can only be described as a 2, maybe 3-star resort at best, certainly not the 4 stars as advertised. I enclosed photo 2 taken outside the hotel, which the hotel confirms its formal 4-star rating. Within the hotel itself, its clear that the hotel is not branded yet as anywhere near TUI. All of the branding on towels, cups and around the hotel including products for sale are under the Globales branding. I enclose picture number 1 to show you what I am talking about. The brand was placed all around the hotel. I am unsure how you can brand the hotel under your own name, when it’s clear that this is not the case and the standards don’t match your brand. Sunbeds and pool area We then proceeded to obtain a sunbed around by the pool and realised that it was late afternoon and so this was unlikely on arrival day. In earnest we got up the next day to obtain a sunbed and ALL of the beds by the pool were occupied. I had read on trip advisor that this was one of the worst faults of the hotel but realised this couldn’t be the case. True to form, the towels are laid down, not cleared, some beds not even used by the towel owners for the full day. Where does this leave a family of four, who wish to ensure that their children are safe in the pool facility, let me tell you, nowhere near being able to supervise our own children in the pool. This also provided discomfort for the holiday as the sunbeds we got were on a roof terrace, with no atmosphere, access to entertainment or music. In addition to this, on both the roof terraces neither of the shower facilities worked. To check whether it was me being unreasonable, I decided to explore the nature of the sunbed fiasco. The pool opened at 8am each day. People were queuing to get out to the pool and lay down their towels, some with pyjamas on, to beat the rush and then go back to bed. This is not what I consider a relaxing holiday. There is no way on a holiday that I am prepared to get up, queue in reception to put 4 towels on a bed and leave the towels there. In every other hotel I have ever stayed in, this practice is managed and not permitted, with signs confirming this is the case. We were told we could use sunbeds in a hotel across the street, this was part of the chain but actually had no entertainment, no bar facilities as it was a self-catering Globales property, what use would this have been? TUI rep Two days after arriving on Monday 16th August, I registered a formal complaint with the TUI rep on site. He wrote down all of my concerns, told me he would produce a formal report and to expect an email. The rep’s name was Evaristo. No email was ever received, no notification of formal complaint, hardly surprising considering what I was already witnessing. Breakfast queues As well as the debacle for reception queues, then came the queue to even enter the restaurant. Every single time we went for breakfast or lunch regardless of time, there was a queue. It became frustrating to say the least. Again, we took pictures to show the queue on a morning which went all the way back to reception and was after the restaurant opened by some 15 minutes. Evening queues In addition to the breakfast queues, on an evening due to lack of staff, every single evening there were unacceptable queues at the bar. Again, completely unsatisfactory even in high season. Food and drink quality The spirits were all cheap quality no brand spirits at all, unless you wanted to pay extra. Yes the website states local spirits, but not cheap local spirits. The quality of the food was mediocre at best. I did say this to the TUI rep and said that the food, even on the hot plate was lukewarm. This is not acceptable. On one meal that I was eating, which had been out for some time and mass produced was a chicken curry on eating some of the chicken curry, I realised that the meat was raw. Following on from this I had a mild bout of food poisoning which rendered one day of the holiday useless and I had to stay in the room, whilst the remaining members of my family went into Santa Ponsa. Please see photo 4. The main meals we ate to be safe were pizza and chips, not what I would expect to be eating daily in an all-inclusive. As we were not satisfied with the food on all levels, every evening we then ate out in Santa Ponsa, which for a family of 4 came to roughly 70 euros per evening, not a cost I was expecting to have to pay, but after the food experiences in the hotel, one I think we had no choice but to pay. Entertainment The worst I have ever seen. Again, it would drive you out of the hotel rather than make you stay in it. The shows were poor quality, the facilities did not have enough chairs, so people ended up sitting on a stage. When I asked the rep what he would do with the complaint, he advised feed it back, ensure that quality standards are measured more robustly. I feel sorry for any other British people or holiday makers that have the displeasure to visit this hotel.

Dear Guest, On behalf of all staff and management at Hotel Globales Santa Ponsa Park, we would like to thank you for your time spent on write such a complete review on TripAdvisor. However we feel very sorry to know that some of the services received were not up to your standard, and apologies for any inconvenience you may had. We are already working hard with some of the things you comment in your review, specially what involves restaurant and bar (long queues). The hotel has employed more staff in order to finish queues both at the bar & restaurant. Regarding the check-in: The time you enter the room basically depends on the time it leaves the previous customer. Some customers leave the room before others, being 12.00. Logically the maids need a minimum of 45 minutes to clean the room properly. Once again, many thanks for your time and hopefully your recent experience will not impede you to visit any other Globales Hotel in the future. Kind Regards Globales Quality Manager
