Lovely hotel situated in an ideal location with the beach, shops, bars, restaurants and evening children’s mini carnival rides only a few minutes walk from the hotel.
Food is what you would expect from a Spanish all inclusive with something to cater for everyone. Continental or full cooked breakfast, pancakes & bakery items. Hot dogs, burgers, pizza, fish, pork, chicken and variety of puddings. Can’t fault the food and even if there is something you try that isn’t quite to your taste… don’t moan, just go back up and try another plate of something else!
I’d never been to a hotel where you receive a plastic cup on arrive for your day time drinks (receive a new, clean one every time you get a new drink), however I personally think it’s a great idea. Reducing the need for an excessive amount of paper cups or risking glass smashing around the pool area. To the reviews moaning about forgetting to take your used one back to the bar and not getting served… you wouldn’t leave your room without putting on pants, so don’t leave without taking your cup.
The only down sides to the hotel are the sun beds and indoor evening entertainment. There are nowhere near enough sun beds for the number of guests staying in either of the hotels. Having to queue up at the reception area at around 7:20am for the doors to open at 8 where you still aren’t guaranteed to secure 2 sun beds next to each other unless you put your crocs into sports mode and RUN!! Also an unfair advantage when one hotel unlocks its door earlier than the other and you are left scrambling to find an empty sun-bed.
Although the entertainers do a fantastic job, it’s a shame there isn’t room for this to be held at an outdoor seating area as it would make for a much better atmosphere than a brightly lit indoor space with loads of people sandwiched next to one another.
I also think it would be a great idea for the hotel to have a soft drinks tap at the pizzeria/snack bar for guests to fill cups up themselves as they do in the restaurant, rather than having to go to the bar. This would help reduce the queue sizes to those requiring alcoholic drinks only.
Overall our family had a great 4 night stay at the TUI Suneo hotel. Lovely bar and restaurant staff, not forgetting the cleaners who really are underrated and do the hardest work - rooms left spotless with fresh towels daily.

My wife and i have just returned from our 4th Stay. This time was our 3rd in the Pionero.
Would have to say the standard of the rooms has remained and the cleanliness is second to none throughout the hotel
Check in was hassle free and we were allocated room 444 which from the balcony has a lovely view of part of the beach
New rules for drinking from the pool bar where you are allocated a plastic beaker and must bring this with you or you wont get served during the day at night its just normal bar service Always remember to drop a few cents to the tip jar they work hard enough for it
Few down sides the entertainment was not on each night and also the standard of the food has definitely dropped since our last stay - In saying that was improving night on night near the end of our stay they also opened restaurant early when we were leaving as we were getting picked up at 7-30am which was great to get a cup of coffee and a bite to eat
Hotel is in great location hence kept going back - i have no issues with this hotel and if your looking for a cheap place to stay in Santa ponsa which is close to everything i would recommend

Still at this hotel now for a few nights , and looking forward to going home. This is the second time we have stayed here as a family , first being 2019 , and came back expecting the same lovely hotel we experienced previously. Our first stay proved to be pleasant, good service , good food and restful, 3 years ago . Unfortunately the hotel has now become noisey and over crowded. To echo another recent review on here, there are groups of younger people playing their own music loudly around the pool area most days , pool is over full all of the time and the water becomes grim very quickly , people are sprawled out all over the small garden area on towels and there is very little space to move. Kids up on the solarium.area late at night shouting and kicking footballs into the fencing . Food is edible but after 10 days here, there is never a day which passes when pork isn't served . Meat cuts are cheap , a lot of the food is processed and convenience / frozen varieties. There never seems to be enough staff in the dining room either. Positively, the hotel is spotless : cleaning staff work tirelessly , daily , room is always cleaned and neatened , toilets always clean and stocked with soap, hand towels , loo roll, floors always clean and hygienic. Staff at hotel not in any way to blame for the deterioration in environment , this lies with the Globales company itself , but will not be returning again after this time . It may also be an idea for Globales to stop the guests staying in the 3 star Hotel Playa Santa Ponsa , which is across the road , using all the facilities of Santa Ponsa Park / Pinero : guests at Playa flood over to Park daily which contributes hugely to the over crowding ..also does not seem just that people pay.extra to stay at Santa for 4 star accommodation when a reduced holiday cost could be obtained by paying to stay 3 star at Playa then just cross the road for 4 star facilities . ...

We stayed at Globales Playa Santa Ponsa on 17 July 2020. This hotel was perfectly located on the beach front and within easy reach of shops, bars, restaurants and takeaways. We are a family of 2 teenage daughters and 1 daughter aged 7. The only issue we had was that we had to purchase our sun beds every morning at 3.5 euros x 5. This worked out quite expensive over the week. We had a HUGE disagreement with a Spanish lady who claimed to be Mallorcan who stole 2 of our sun beds and who had been refusing to pay all week. There were lots of issues with this elderly lady and her brother. The hotel did what they felt they could to manage it and have us 2 bottles of champagne as their way of an apology. Dave the lifeguard is superb. We often had a drink with him of an evening at Mark Anthony,s bar/cafe/diner. We had breakfast at Le Cafe Flora every morning during our stay and would highly recommend. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Our bed sheers were changed daily along with our towels too. We had an interconnecting door with an anointed bedroom for my 3 daughters. Which was brilliant. My 7 year old daughter made lots of friends at the pool and was sad to leave. My wife and I would have returned for our 10th year wedding anniversary in September but due to having g to self isolate in return to Uk cannot return. Once this is lifted we will definitely return. Watch Out Dave we will be back! If anyone reads this and meets Dave please tell him Howard and Stacie said Hi and we hope he enjoyed the vodka we left for him as a thank you. The hotel overall was good, the staff were lovely but pool areas were very crowded, we used a pool at part of the hotel that was closed which meant we did get a sun lounger each day but if you wanted a lounger at the main pool you had no chance.
The food was very repetitive, and lukewarm, not much choice, for the first time ever on an all inclusive we paid to eat out a few times.
The air-con in the bedrooms was very poor, and stopped working at times, if you struggle to sleep in the heat, bring a fan with you as the hotel will charge you to hire one.
You had to keep your cup to use at the bar (one per person unless you buy more for €1 ) water is not readily available which means you have to finish your drink to use the same cup at the bar for water, I would suggest the hotel put some water fountains in around the pool areas.
The local beach is stunning , the sea is beautifully calm and clear well worth spending some euros on renting a sun lounger for the day, but there is plenty of space on the sand if you just wanted to lay on a towel.
Overall I can have a lovely time anywhere with my friends but the little things do impact your holiday experience

We have stayed in this hotel for 1 week all inclusive. The hotel itself is good. It's clean, the rooms are being cleaned every day (although there is a date 1year old on mirror visible only after showering). Regarding rooms there's not too much to complain. We had a room that had a view on some other hotel but that one was closed. Tv has channels in many languages. The AC is average. It does work, but it still will be a little bit to hot. Nice thing is that you get 2 cards so you can leave 1 so that the AC works while you're away. Wifi has good coverage, although it isn't the fastest. Nice thing is that they have some instructions in different languages (when are the meal times). The people in reception often speak German and English (most guests are from these countries), but also one of them spoke polish. Also there's a place where you can see informations when you have a return bus + there are people from tui every day. If it comes to food you won't be hungry. You can basicly eat whole day long (with few breaks for about 40min). The food may not be something extraordinary but everyone should find something for him/herself + it tastes good. You can park a car for free too. One bigger store is few hundred meters away, some smaller ones are closer (even across the street). Bus going to palma is like 500m away. The beach is very beautiful. The pools are ok, but it might be hard to find some sunbed during the day. The elevators are rather slow, so you can wait for it 1-2min or go by foot. There are also few towels in the room, also additional ones that you can take to a pool. There are many atms around, 1 even in the hotel lobby.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in 3 star NEVER in a million years. The rooms were terrible dirty and flaking paintwork fusty damp smell constantly, we found a pair of old mens flip flops under our bed so obviously the cleaners don’t do a very good job. The bathroom, well good luck having a shower it was that small every time you turned round to get the shampoo you’d turn the shower off with you hip ( and I’m a size 12). Going to the bar was a joy NOT if the staff smiled it might make it better and the plastic cup you receive on arrival to keep going back and forth to the bar is ridiculous. Spent more time queuing for drinks than sunbathing. The pool is unsafe for children the amount of time I saw parents mending the broken steps to get in the kiddies pool was ridiculous, it ended up with lolly pop sticks stuck down the side to try and hold it in place, also the ones to get in the adult pool were very dodgy too moving and squeaking as you get in and out. The food is terrible same things every day I lived on paella and spaghetti bolognese for the week or we’d have to take a trip to a takeaway. During the day if you were hungry you’d have to cross the road with your plastic cup and go to the sister hotel for pizza burgers and hotdogs or go in their restaurant for lunch. Santa Ponsa is a great place to go and this hotel is near the beach, hence the 3 star. If I’d have booked this holiday and not my friend I would never have booked it the reviews are true

We enjoyed our stay at Tue Suneo Santa Ponsa Park. It is a hotel of two blocks and you can use the facilities at both. There was food and drinks available for most of the day up to midnight. It was mainly pork fish and chicken for the main meals but there other options. The soup was vegetable each day. The snacks were hot dogs, pizzas and burgers with fries and many other side dishes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms have been modernised with new showers and furnishings. They have a large tv and a small fridge. The safe key is available for a ten euro returnable deposit. They were cleaned every day and towels and bedding changed when required. The only thing we found fault with was the noise in the corridors leading to the bedrooms between about 3 and 4 in the morning on 3 of our 7 night stay. This was caused by inconsiderate guests coming back from the late bars. You cannot blame the hotel for this but perhaps they could have some security staff around during the night. We did not see any during our stay.

Visited here July 5th 2022 Inter connecting rooms requested and also advised by travel agent Wasn’t even acknowledged at hotel snd they wanted to put us in a ground floor room after having to protest we were given a second floor room overlooking terrace and pool . Dora the explorer lady who dealt with us was very rude unhelpful and kept throwing her eyes up at us
Food : same same every night pork or chicken nice but very limited choice Breakfast same other things available salad bars . Cereal bar , cold nests but choices same every day Mexican theme menu was nice change tho do thanks for that .
Pool: 2 pools and a hell of a lot of children and adults ,some families getting pissed next to swimming pool and smoking on sun loungers. Cigarette burns on sone loungers
Rooms : paper thin and very small Cleanliness : rooms cleaned every day fresh towels ect… maids work hard I asked reception if there was someone to check bins around bar snd pool area as Someone had been sick snd you could smell it in heat 🤢 that was quickly sorted
Some staff are not very friendly and are very rude but there are a handful of staff who are very friendly and helpful . There’s a terrace on both sides of two hotels to get away from all the summer holiday caos , but can’t help thinking they could put a snack bar up there to get cold drink and also maybe some nice plants ect as it is a nice area . Entertainment : not sure for kids as we had teenagers But main entertain was good sometimes ok
Pros : there are 3 hotels you can use do if it becomes to unbearable at one pool you can always check out another Very clean
Cons : food undesirable , smoking on sunloungers next to other family’s and children , rude staff , animation during day could be doing more to get people involved in sctivities .
Appreciate it’s been covid and it wasn’t e to be able to go on holiday but the price we paid we could of gone to Turkey and receive a better holiday and food . If this hotel is to continue they need to up their game and also have better customer service skills

Booked with Love Holidays for a weeks stay at Globales Playa . Arrived to find the hotel closed and no reservation for us. The staff booked us into the sister hotel Santa Ponsa Park. Paid €48 local tax and €32 plus €10 returnable deposit for the safe. The room had no net curtain to keep the midges out so ended up with air conditioning running all the time resulting in bad throats. Room was cleaned only twice during our stay. The bathroom needed a deep clean and the towels were a grey white with stains. Got stuck in the lift so didn't use them again. Not good with a bad knee. The food quality and choice really poor. Friday evening from the grill some sort of fish or a cheap burger. The restaurant staff made such a noise dealing with cutlery and plates it felt like a cattle market. Didnt have any relaxing meals. A mad dash at 7.45am to get towels on sunbeds. The pools had broken tiles with black mould in the grouting Most of the staff were friendly. The drinks were varied and cocktails good. Four nights had professional acts and not the dreaded animation team. Overall disappointed with the hotel certainly not 4 or even 3 star and high charges for the safe. Majorca and its taxes are now off my holiday list of places to go.

Sometimes we have to upgrade from 3* hotel to 4* hotel and generally the guests seem to be very satisfied. Regarding the tax, unfortunately the hotel cannot do anything about it. It is a mandatory local tax for all tourists visiting the Balearic Islands and the price is set by the local government.
