This place could not be more central, beach on doorstep, supermarkets too. The apartment I had was tasteful and simple in grey and white and comfortable beds, it was in the front apartments overlooking the street and the beach and bay, beautiful veiw night and day. 24 hour reception, which as a elderly woman alone who has wrestled with my glasses, phone and security number at 2 oclock in the morning to get in, was most appreciated. The lady at reception was lovely and very helpful. It was great to be able to cross the road to lovely restaurants late at night without walking lonley streets, and to paddle in the evening. Of course all this comes at a price, not finacial as I found Sunshine holidays offered 13 days for around £550, even cheaper than Travel Republic with whom I usually travel, but the noise was quite something. traffic was considerably and the delivery of Coca Cola bottles, was something else, as was barking dogs from apartments over the road . Apartments had everything I needed for a week stay clean and comfortable. The check in process was easiest I've ever experienced anywhere. Some people will complain about the lack of maid service. You have to make your own bed and clean up after yourself which suited me because I find a daily maid service a bit intrusive. They leave you clean towels and a change of sheets and check every other day to make sure you have enough. Receptionists very friendly and helpful.really can't fault this place close to all amenities but not too close.

On arrival i was filled with dread , past reviews , the reception looked bland & uninviting and was filled with groups of young ones . We was allocated the back block , which was up a lift , up a hill and another lift . The apartment was spacious,clean & tidy . Our apartment had beautiful sea views ( which we paid for ) . We was given a cleaning kit , fresh towels regularly.Unfortunately our pull out bed was really uncomfortable and i asked at reception if they had a topper/ another mattress but they didn’t.
The hotel had a mix of young groups and families, we had a few nights with groups coming in late/ early singing and shouting.
The pool area was cleaned every morning and was easy to get a sunbed , until the last few days as people started saving beds . We witnessed the pool/shop lady pulling towels off beds to give to another family
. Also you are not supposed to bring your own food/ drink round the pool , which is odd as its S/C only .
The hotel is in a great location across from the beach .
The hotel would benefit from more sunbeds round pool and more chairs in the reception area.
Santa Ponsa is a lovely resort , the beach is beautiful, (for 2 sunbeds its €13 )with great beach bars . Its a family resort but can also be lively for groups .
Overall I would return for a cheap gateway.

We stayed here for a week as a family of 4, 2 adults, 2 children(12 & 14). What a fab place! Super clean, the whole apartment. It was so well kitted out,plenty of delph, pots pans and all you need(enough though you're on hols, still nice to have this stuff if needed). We were in a 1 bed apt. The kids had the room, 2 single beds. And we had the pull out bed in the living room. I can't tell you enough how good the quality of the púll out bed was. It was so comfortable, and very large. We had clean sheets and towels every 2 days. The cleaner offered to clean it also. The rooms were fully air-conditioned, and super black out/sun out curtains. On the balcony we had a table and 4 chairs. Also a nice pull out clothes horse attached to the wall, to dry clothes and towels. I can't rate this place enough. Very very close to the beach, and so close to restaurants and coffee shops. The 2 pools are very nice and clean, plenty of seats. Very close to 3 supermarkets that have all you need for the hols. The staff at reception are so very helpful, with excellent knowledge of the area. On hand to order a taxi if needed, and directions! So friendly and good fun. If I could rate these apartments,they would get 100 out of 100! We will be back!

After a delayed flight my friends and I arrived at the portofino aparthotel around 2:00am, we were all very tired so were keen to get to the room quickly. Firstly the man at the desk, who we now know to be called Miguel, joked with us about the check-in being closed, so we initially got a friendly vibe from him. We then handed over our passports, filled out the form and paid the £44 government tax. He then explained some things about air con etc and began to lay down the rules and told us to “be serious now”, even though we were most definitely not in a jokey mood at 2 in the morning. He then quickly began to get quite aggressive, assuming that we were going to be loud, drinking lots of alcohol and bringing boys back to our room to “shag”. We started to look at him with confusion and tried to explain that we really weren’t going to be partying all night or bringing anyone back, as we are all in relationships and too old for that kind of stuff. Miguel then pointed to each of my friends saying “you nice, you nice, you nice” then pointed to me and said “you, not nice” and proceeded to say he “knows girls like me” which I found very very rude considering he does not know me at all. Then after about 5 minutes of him completely aiming his anger at me saying I was disrespectful decided to speak up and say how I thought it was outrageous how he was speaking to me, but he just spoke over me even louder. He also began to say we had to pay the €200 fine but we had just arrived and hadn’t even got to the room yet so this was just fully uncalled for. Eventually he stopped and gave us our keys, but as a group of all females at 2:00am we felt very shaken and as if it was a complete abuse of power on his behalf, as there was absolutely no excuse for his behaviour.
The rest of our stay was absolutely lovely, the room was a great size and very clean and we had no issues with other members of staff.

My friends and I went on our lc holiday this year to Santa ponsa . We were rudely greeted by a big black man who insisted we pay a €200 deposit for each room . We were also made pay for a safe and ac remote!!

Our experience at The Deya Apartments was nothing short of a nightmare. We were forced to move rooms three times, each new room presenting a fresh set of horrors.
First, there were poo stains on the couch, an appalling sight that should never be encountered in any hotel. To make matters worse, we found body fluid on the same couch. It was beyond disgusting and showed a complete lack of hygiene and cleaning standards. The staff's response? They simply told us to deal with it and refused to speak to us further.
In our second room, we were greeted by a cockroach scurrying across the floor. As if that wasn't enough, broken door handles made it nearly impossible to secure our belongings or even feel safe in the room.
The third room was the worst of all. Green mould covered the bed, posing a severe health risk. Vomit stains marred the walls, adding to the unbearable stench and filth. To top it all off, we found someone’s underwear on the balcony, suggesting the room hadn't been properly cleaned, if at all.
Adding insult to injury, the air conditioning system was only available if you left a positive review. This blatant attempt to bribe guests into covering up the hotel's severe deficiencies is disgraceful.

We have just returned from a four night stay at the Portofino staying in a two bed apartment (2 adults & 4 teenagers).
The accommodation was exactly as described, it was spacious and we had a lovely view from our 7th floor balcony. We had a problem with the sofa bed on the first night but after reporting it to reception the next morning it was quickly fixed.
At this time of year it wasn’t very busy so we never had a problem getting a sunbed and the pools were quiet. The water was cold as to be expected but fine once we were in!
All staff were friendly in our experience, and the location of the aparthotel is great - just across the road from the beach, lots of restaurants & shops nearby, and 10-15 mins walk to the livelier side of the town.
We would definitely return.

As a family of 5, the 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious with a large living area and separate kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and also the sofa bed was a pull out double bed. The lock on the kitchen window was broken and one of the bars outside gone which was a concern. The bins were not emptied while we were there, we had to look after that ourselves. We also had to purchase toilet rolls in the local supermarket. Towels were changed every second day which was fine. The pool area was fine. The lights went out on the stairs which was a risk one night but we brought this to the attention of the staff and were working again the next night.
