The H10 Salou Princess is celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere, complete with poolside tunes and nightly performances, although seating could be better. While drink prices are deemed reasonable, some visitors feel the food quality and extra costs detract from the hotel's value. Its prime location is a hit among guests for easy access to the beach and local attractions. Rooms are praised for cleanliness and comfort, but some find the amenities lacking and the decor dated. The service is generally commended, though the restaurant and sunbed management could be enhanced.

Lovely hotel in a great location few minute walk from the beach. We only had breakfast and it was nice enough. Cooked breakfast and mix of fruit and pastries. Rooms where spotless, a little small for a family of three I would say. Maybe we would upgrade room next time. Have to pay to use the safe which isn't ideal. Pool area was great, plenty of sunbeds and a cheap bar! No inflatables allowed which left my 10 year old very disappointed after watching us blow it up for ten minutes then to tell us they was not allowed. No signs to declare this. We would stay again.

We recently stayed in The Salou Princess and had a wonderful time. We booked a pool view room, we had paid extra for SUPERIOR pool view room, the only difference being given bath robes, slippers and use of the safe for free. All rooms were the same size, so I would just book standard pool view the next time. The room was bright and airy with a good size balcony with a lovely view of the pool and you could see straight to the beach. Rooms were very clean with maid service every day. We had the half board option and the food was varied with plenty to choose from. The dining room never felt crowded and there was never a long wait to have a table.
The pool was wonderful with plenty of loungers to choose from, it had a really lovely upper terrace with a jacuzzi hot tub and plenty of loungers if you wanted a change of scene from the pool. Pool area was very clean and it was cleaned every day by the great staff.
The location of this hotel is simply perfect, a 4 minute walk to the beautiful sandy beach. Plus within walking distance to the shopping and restaurants. It was lovely to leave the busy tourist areas and come back to the hotel in the evening. There are lots of supermarkets on the doorstep of the hotel for anything else you could need.
There is a fantastic bike rental shop diagonally across the road from the hotel and we hired two electric bikes from there and went to Cambrils, we had the best time. Highly recommend this.
All in all this was a fantastic hotel to stay in and I would struggle to anywhere else now when I come back to Salou, we had such a good time. You will not be disappointed with this hotel.

we stayed here as a family of 5, 3 adults and 2 teenagers, the hotel is lovely and very clean.
we were half board, and the food was very good quality you will always find something to eat. You are able to swap your evening meal for lunch as long as you let them know the day before.
There are plenty of sunbeds although people do start queuing up the back of 8am to do the mad dash for the best areas, we never struggled to get a sunbed as there are always plenty stacked up, you may just struggle to get a parasol. The hotel is good and coming out and checking for the ones who leave their towels at 9am but dont come back till late afternoon and I did see on occasions them removing towels from sunbed.
We had a balcony with poolside view which was worth the extra money.
Rooms were clean, they have shampoo conditioner, shower gel, toothbrushes ect, so you wont need too many toiletries. Towels changed if you leave them in the bathtub, and rooms always made up if you leave the ticket on your door handle.
The cabanas are 25 euros a day and we hired 2 one day the only thing I would say it was a little untidy and no one had removed rubbish from the previous day.
The sports bar attached to the hotel is nice for a drink and sometimes has good entertainment.
Its central and 3 min walk to the beach, plenty beach bars and other places for something to eat. The only downfall for us was probably the lack of entertainment for our teenagers plenty for the younger children.
Bus stops right outside for Cambrils, Tarragona, Portaventura. Local market on a Monday which is worth a look, a must is the House of Illusion great night entertainment for the whole family. Supermarket right next door to pick up water/snacks. We booked a day trip to Barcelona through the TUI rep and it picked us up a couple of minutes from the hotel.
All in all a great stay.

We are happy to read that you overall enjoyed a fantastic holidays with us, taking advantage of our wide food selection, your beautiful pool view room and the helful attention of our staff. We do appreciate your opinion regarding the cleanliness of the room and how convenience our location was. An amazing stay to say the least. I came with a friend for a short holiday - our first holiday without parents and it was amazing. On entrance the staff were lovely, the receptionist Monica helped us and she was really nice. Checkin was quick and easy, our room was ready when we arrived about an hour before we had been told the room would be ready. We went straight to the pool which the pictures do not do justice! It is beautiful! The layout is spacious and the palm trees and umbrellas providing much needed shade in the summer months heat. The pool is not heated however it is the perfect cold temp after sunbathing.
A complaint we saw before arriving there was only one English Chanel but you can change some to English using the tool button on the remote then changing the option that starts with idoma.
Some said the rooms were unmodern, ours was not we were in room 408 but seeing some of the others they were less modern, but still looked nice.
In relation to the food the breakfast was lovely! In the evening the dinner is good however may not be the best for fussy eaters. Myself and my friend are both fussy we did still have a full plate but was a beige same old plate. However I do not mark that down because that’s more on myself being fussy and we worked around it. Drinks at dinner were cheap with soft drinks being €2.60 and the staff were lovely. The chefs were especially lovely having a chat with us and giving us freshly cooked, hot food.
Sun beds - this is something I had seen a lot about. Yes there was a mad rush, doors open at 9 and people did run for them with a queue from 8:30 at the latest as we went down for breakfast and there was already a queue. This wasn’t a huge issue as there was only 2 of us and we would finish breakfast at 9 so it was perfect. However for families who need an umbrella or pool side this could be an issue.
The plugs were perfect a usb sized one to charge, as well as being suitable for an adaptor or a 3 plug.
The hotel also provides a lot! Including toothbrush and toothpaste, tissues, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and more in the hotel room right away. As well as free WiFi.
Next door is a cheap supermarket which is perfectly ideal to grab lunch between sunbathing. As well as a bakery that was apart of it which had a great choice that was always tasty.
The beach is less than 5 mins away so a perfect location.
I would definitely stay here again and I see it as perfect for people travelling with friends as well as families (especially those who want activities as there were many a day tan by the animation team who seemed lovely).
Even though I did mention a few bad things I cannot mark the hotel down as they did not appear a huge problem for us but is something to consider.
Thank you to the staff there it was a brilliant stay!

I stayed here with my hubby from 3rd sept till 17th full board. The hotel is in an excellent location so close to beach shops and restaurants the hotel was spotless all of the time and rooms were cleaned everyday. The food in the restaurant was good and we always found something to eat obviously it rotates everyweek but plenty of choices. We ate out a few times but that was our choice nothing to do with hotel food. Pool was a good size with music playing during the day. I really recommend Lazy wave and Harry potters for drinks and if you can get booked go to Roadhouse for food its really nice. We really loved this hotel. So much that we have booked for next year. We had a superior double room with pool view room was very spacious. Entertainment wasn't alway great, but we saw a couple of ok acts over the 2 weeks, but similar to most hotels this time of year I think.

1 week stay 14th May to 21st May 2022
This is definitely not a four star hotel. Both myself and my wife have stayed in many 4 star hotels in Spain and class this hotel as barely 3 star or 2 star plus.
The rooms are very dated and small. 1970s style. Shower over bath looks ancient.
Balcony space is adequate but the table on balcony is a small poolside table.
Only 1 British TV channel and that is a news channel.
There is a 70s style stand lamp in the room which is a total waste of space, it belongs in a rubbish skip and not in a hotel room.
A lick of paint would go a long way as well.
Dining
If possible eat out. Food was only warm at best and cold at worst and mainly catered for the Spanish.
Chips everyday every meal even breakfast, mainly cold and seemed to be the left overs from the day before.
Some meals were ok.
Pool Area
This was probably the only 4 star part of the whole hotel. Good pool and plenty sun loungers. They also have a poolside hoist chair for wheelchair users but the lifeguard did not know how to operate it. 3 British lads had to come from their loungers to assist a wheelchair user into the hoist and lower it into the pool for the user. Well done lads you made his day! Lifeguard was useless.
Location
The hotel is in a fabulous location, near to all amenities and pubs. 5 min walk to the beach .
If Salou is your type of place then enjoy, but the H10 Salou Princess would be well down my accommodation list.
A four star hotel should have spacious rooms. Be spotless. A decent shower and bathroom , Tea and coffee facilities, kettle, cups and up to date furnishings.
The H10 Salou Princess has none of the above.
All the travel companies that rate this hotel should seriously revise their rating of this hotel.
3 Star at a push , 4 Star definitely not!!!

Dear johnsarpo, Thank you for sharing a review about your stay at H10 Salou Princess****. First of all, we would like to appreciate your comments regarding the hotel´s location and about the pool area. On the other hand, we are very concerned about the notes you are giving us in respect of the food variety. We always try to offer a selection of dishes for everyone, as we host guests from many countries. We are very sorry to hear about the poolside hoist chair incident and we will definitely investigate it. Thank you for the feedback given about the room status and we take notes about that. Once again we apologise you were not fully satisfied during your stay and do not hesitate to contact us directly if you decide to be back in the future, so we make it up to you. Arrived on the 4th of June checked in at reception this can take a while so be mindful, upon arrival every guest has to pay tourist tax and also an extra charge appears if you want the safe that’s in each room. We had two twin rooms which were very dated and need a revamp. In one room 3 single beds are just pushed together which makes it impossible to move and open the wardrobe. Also seems to appear that the rooms have 2 plug sockets and one of these is in the bathroom so we ended up having to set a travel kettle up in a bathroom! Pool area/ the doors open at 9am get ready for the grand National race for people to get beds but then we watched a number of times people going in for breakfast and other people then taking umbrellas from them. Entertainment around the pool is very basic and not much atmosphere at all, the animation team need more guidance and structure. No floats for children allowed in the pool and we watched the life guard blow his whistle when a little boy was playing catch with his father in the pool so they are strict when it comes to this! Food wise was very hit and miss some days good and some not so good, breakfast was always a strange one as some mornings we had a selection of pizza chicken nuggets and chips. There was burger one night and this was raw in the middle. Some Staff in the restaurant are very rude and huff and puff when you ask for a bottle of water? Now to the good points, nice reception area, lovely photographer that comes into the hotel in the evening and great location to get out and about throughout the day/night. Unfortunately we won’t be returning to this hotel and it really is in need of a refurb in the rooms and also entertainment team!

Got to hotel early due to early flight but room was ready by 1.30pm. Food was as to be expected from a buffet always something we could eat and never went hungry with show cooking most nights. Rooms, we had one overlooking the pool which was good as the road outside hotel is very busy so room on that side may have been noisey, saying that when music was on by pool it could hardly be heard from our room when door was closed and the A/C was very good. We did find the beds very uncomfortable though and it would have been nice to have more than the one electric socket in the room. Rooms were cleaned daily and bedding and towels changed often. Cleaners worked very hard as did most of the staff. Drinks were a bit on the expensive side and some bar staff didn't seem to know what a pint was as they were afraid to fill the glasses up. The rush for sunbeds in the mornings was quite a laugh and something should be done to stop this as beds had towels put on them at 9am then wouldn't be used at all during the day. Staff did nothing to stop this from happening. This was one of the worse hotels I have seen this happening at and there are even clips of it on facebook. Saying that the pool was quite big and nice to cool off in. Some of the entertainment was reasonable but others were bad. Quite a number of people left including us when the Queen tribute band were on as they were that bad. We went into the sports bar inside the hotel then to watch the one man band show and he was really good. The first week and a half all the hotel was kept clean and tidy but then towards the end when it got very busy they seemed to find it difficult to keep up the high standards we had before. I know it was fairly early when we left for the airport but when checking out it would have been nice to be asked if we had enjoyed our stay. To stay again I would only do it if they improved on a few tings I have mentioned but overall a nice stay.

Dear theshedman2124, Thank you for sharing a review on Tripadvisor about your stay at H10 Salou Princess. We appreciate your detailed comments about your stay with us. We are happy to read that you were satisfied with the food selection in our buffet services and that you enjoyed your room views. On the other hand, we are sorry you weren´t very comfortable with your beds and we take notes of it. We are following Salou price standards although we understand your concern. It is not allowed to reserve sun loungers in our hotel, but unfortunately it is a very common practice to reserve the ones by the pool, even if there are plenty of sun loungers available in the other part of the outside and solarium area. We are already taking action in order to minimize this issue. We definitely will report your feedback with the departments involved so we can improve our services. Once again we apologise you were not fully satisfied during your stay and do not hesitate to contact us directly if you decide to be back in the future, so we make it up to you. Checked in early and rooms not ready but this is normal we put or bags in the luggage reception said room would be ready at 1pm and it was. We were allocated room 221 very nice room bright and airy. Air con worked a treat. the bed was huge and i mean huge and so comfortable. lost of storage space. balcony had a great view of the pool. small fridge in the room was well used by us. all in all the room was spotless clean and well maintained now for the best bit the shower WOW this was a real power shower the best i have ever been in all in all a 5 star room Breakfast was great and the selection was amazing they had every thing you could think of. Best of all was the evening meal every night something different choice and quality was as good as any hotel could be in fact i would say this was hotel provided the best selection of food i have ever had in Spain and we have been to a lot of places the food was second to none it was great. The pool area was spotless and really well maintained. the pool opens at 9am and there is always a que to put a towel on a sun bed so they are gone quite quick BUT the hotel keep on top of this is you don't use the sun bed the attended puts a ticket on then if not used in the next half hour he removes the towel this is a great way to control this as many people put towels and and don't use them till late in the day all the bars are well run and well stocked all in all this is a great hotel and great staff so its a big thank you from us

After previously staying at the H10 Rubicon Palace in Lanzarote, I turned to H10 again for our trip to Salou. Unfortunately the h10 Salou princess didn’t live up to expectations.

Most important warning - Entertainment here starts at 10pm, every evening, on the pool deck. It cannot be avoided and is incredibly loud. We travelled with our infant daughter and we couldn’t believe how loud it was, I had to ask reception to turn it down on our first night. For this reason, this is not a child friendly hotel (if you want to get them to sleep before 11pm!!)

Some rooms are very dated but some have been refurbished. I booked a superior double with pool view and thankfully it was more modern, though did not have a bath so request this if you need one. We looked at changing rooms to a non pool view to try and escape the noise from the entertainment but old and dated room which was a road hire was quite a big step down.

Other things to note, we walked to Port Aventura theme park, took about 20 minutes so you don’t need to taxi/bus. Also only 5 minutes to the beach from the hotel entrance. Pool and pool area are small so sunbed reserving was rife - guests were queueing to get beds before the area opened at 9am. Also queueing for dinner to open in the evening, again, bit of a shock there. 10€ deposit to rent a pool towel, which is refunded when given back (must be cash) and then 1€ to change your towel for a fresh one. Also if you’re staying half board, you have to pay for drinks at end of dinner (cannot charge to the room). Breakfast and dinner were chaotic - dining room staff were setting up lunch tables at 9am when breakfast doesn’t finish until 10:15am then telling guests they could sit there despite restaurant being very full.
Recommend bringing your own water bottle as you can use the water machines for free which is filtered water so that’s a positive.

Overall, we had an ok stay but sadly wouldn’t return to the H10 Salou Princess.
