Hotel Best Tritón generally receives praise for its prime location near the beach, marina, and local amenities, as well as for the variety of pools and dining options available. Guests appreciate the modern rooms and the overall cleanliness of the hotel, though there have been mentions of maintenance issues and occasional lapses in housekeeping. The service at the hotel garners mixed reviews, with commendations for staff efforts but also critiques of slow restaurant service and reception challenges. While some travelers find the hotel to be a good value, with premium room features, others are dissatisfied with additional charges and overcrowded areas. The atmosphere is noted to have a stylish decor, yet the lack of ambiance and entertainment leaves some guests wanting more.

Family of four (2 adults, 9yr old, 12yr old) stayed at Best Triton at the end of August 2024 for two weeks half board.
The hotel has a modern, upmarket feel as you enter and has clearly been recently over-hauled to a high standard.
We arrived late in the evening and missed our evening meal, however Olivia on the reception spoke perfect English and granted us lunch after checkout on our last day which we were very grateful for.
Our room was on the 7th floor looking East towards the harbour and beach, it was clean, with two double beds for us and our children to share. There are plenty of lifts, but at peak times we found it was quicker to walk down/ up the stairs!
Food at the hotel is of high quality and there is plenty of choice for fussy kids like our youngest too. Alba at the restaurant reception was always smiling and made us feel very welcome - the kids had fun trying to tell her our long room number in Spanish every day! The only thing I didn't like were the coffee machines as they were very slow, or not working properly, so there was always a que getting your morning cafe con leche!
The outside area was cleaned every morning and has several levels with ramp access to each pool and bar area. The pools were all gated off until 10am, there were always sunbeds free until late morning which was good even in august. The upper pool is quieter with music and activities and entertainment at the main pool closest to the beach. The splash pad area is great for the younger kids and there are lifeguards watching all pool areas. There is an indoor spar pool that both adults and children can access, however there is a charge to use the facilities. The gym is free to use and the equipment is brand new.
A big thank you to the kids club animation team. Philippe, Nando, Cecilia and Maria worked so hard during our stay and made our children feel happy and safe.
Mini disco for the kids was fun, but a little late in my opinion at 21:30. The evening entertainment for the adults was a little hit and miss also in our opinion.
The hotel is in a great location, 5 minutes from the beautiful harbour and within 10min walk of shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. There is a gate onto the beach promenade which was always open during out stay.
Car parking at the hotel is 12euros a day, although there are spaces on the streets near the hotel where you can park for free.
Its worth bearing in mind that the hotel is very Spanish which put some types of brits off, but we absolutely loved this and enjoyed trying to learn and speak their language during our stay. The majority of the staff do speak English though!
We would definitely recommend this hotel to families with young children and we would definitely return in the future. Thank you

This hotel was a real mixed bag, some good bits and some not so good.
Check-in was efficient and welcoming by the helpful reception staff. On arrival to our room we were pleasantly surprised to find we had been upgraded to a full sea-view room with the additions of coffee machine with supplies (no kettle), slippers/robes, free safe and pool towels. The room was great, walk-in shower, roomy, balcony and lovely view. The only downer was the toilet kept blocking (like some of the public area ones), We reported it to reception and they unblocked it each time. We were on the 5th floor and did not find the lifts a problem. The hotel is large and spread out (a fair bit of walking is involved to get anywhere such as restaurant and pool area) so may not suit everyone especially as directions are not great. Hotel has a smart appearance, very modern and clean. It has a great rooftop sky bar that can be used by all guests after 5pm (before that Premium guests only). The priority area for improvement is the restaurant. Once you have found the restaurant, you then have to wander the restaurant to find a table that is has been cleared and dressed. When you cannot find a space then you just sit down anywhere and try to attract staff to sort out your table. Queues for coffee machines run across the routes for guests getting their food and it is a melee. Guests carrying food plates trying to avoid guests carrying cups of coffee. Food & drink did not seem to have their respective containers in the expected locations, guests wasting time searching. Food quality was reasonable but restaurant organisation needs attention, the restaurant is not a great experience for guests. Hotel staff were generally friendly and doing their best despite seeming to be short staffed at times. There was a lack of information on what evening acts were appearing in the hotel and their location / times. Hotel public area toilets had empty fixed soap dispensers, occasionally temporary bottles provided instead that then ran out. The hotel is in a great location for walking to the marina and Torremolinos. The prices of drinks in the restaurant and bars were very reasonable. The hotel could be so much better with some changes.

This hotel has been refurbished recently to a very high standard. Myself and my husband stayed for 5 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary and booked a premium room which had undisturbed views of the ocean. Premium guests also had access to the roof top area with infinity pool (towels provided), and we ate in the Brasserie which was for premium guests only too. The food was ok and was never really that warm to be honest so we changed our dinner to lunch and ate out 3 of the 5 nights, which suited us better. Would definitely recommend booking a premium room. The rooms are spotless as are the common areas but the lifts could be doing with a good clean as they were always covered in bird poo as they are glass and on the outside of the buildings. The hotel is right on the beach and is within very close walking distance to the bustling marina. The hotel lacks a bit of atmosphere and the entertainment was very poor. They have huge areas in the hotel being under utilised in my opinion and more quests would stay in the hotel at night if there was more going on, instead of heading out every night. This would benefit the hotel greatly and should be something they look at going forward.

On checkout we asked either to keep our room on, or any room for that matter, for a period of time or a courtesy room for a quick shower as our flight was later. We were told the hotel was fully booked and we could have neither. We had to book the spa at a cost of 56 euros, just to get a shower which is apparently owned by a separate company. I have never known any hotel not to offer a courtesy room.
When sitting in reception waiting for our private transfer to the airport we spoke to 2 separate groups of guests who did not have premium rooms. One group had been allowed to keep their room on after 12 pm checkout and another had been given a courtesy room ( as apparently its written in black and white on the hotels literature, handed to you on check in, that you just have to ask for a courtesy room!!) Another older couple who had just arrived, were complaining that their room was too far away to walk ( it is a huge hotel) so a member of staff were taking them to look at another room more to their liking. I thought the hotel was fully booked?
I was extremely disappointed and angry to be lied to in this manner as clearly there were rooms available!! A hotel cannot survive without happy clientele!! I put this in an email to the hotel but I have yet to receive a reply.
All in all the hotel is beautiful but a few things let it down. I would return, as I did have a good holiday and the room was very comfortable but guests talk to each other and if you lie you will always be found out!

Just done 3 weeks in a premium room well worth upgrade went half board.... staff very helpful and friendly , check in process is far too slow, even tho there was 3 on desks. Room clean came in daily to replace towels and clean, sun all day big television coffee machine, kettle robes ,fridge, pool towels ,free safe, ,no full length mirror in room and only 7 coat hangers. Didn't like the key bands to get into your rooms . buffet lots of choice good fresh cooking stations food as in most Spanish hotels was luke warm but there is a microwave. Great location can catch bus outside .. ,. covered pool really cold but may warm up later in day.Did find the lights near lift and in public toilets seemed to be on a sensor and was left in the dark sometimes.we would go again as location is good

My wife and I stayed in the Triton hotel for 3 weeks from 29th Nov 2024. and left on 20th Dec. We had an outstanding holiday in an outstanding hotel.

Our room was on the 6th floor in building 1, overlooking the beach and marina. The room was comfortable, spacious excellent beds and the maid service was first class.

We were on a half board basis, buffet breakfasts and evening meals and the food was fresh, plentiful and excellent quality. Sebastion, the chef making fresh omelette's, should be commended, every one made was to perfection. Similarly, evening meal was a dinning experience, a fine selection of fish, meats, fresh pizza's and veg, with weekly Asian, European, Spanish, Mussels and the highlight Friday night Gala night.

The hotel has a superb beach location to the rear and bus stops right outside the front of the hotel with buses to Fuengirola and Mijas in one direction and Torremolinos and Malaga in the other. A Green Card bought from any tobacconist shop is a must and allows each journey for 47 cents.

I have stayed in several hotels in the area but this hotel is on a different level, large, spacious with outstanding hard working staff and you are made to feel welcome as soon as you check in.

Estelle, at reception, was particularly helpful, friendly and professional when I enquired about a return visit. Genuinely , we wouldn't hesitate to come back and can't praise the hotel highly enough

We had a fantastic relaxing holiday at Hotel Best Triton. We booked full board premium which is well worth it. By going premium you get access to the Sun Set bar area on the rooftop of the hotel, sun loungers, furniture etc was brilliant to relax, and soak up the sun! If you get too hot you can dip in the pool to cool down.

The dining area always has plenty to choose from, chefs & hospitality staff work very hard to accommodate every guest to keep the place running smoothly, they are a credit to the management!

Saw reviews about coffee machines yes they are busy but I’ve stood for 10 minutes in some coffee shops so it didn’t bother me, however, I did notice other guest filled up 6 coffee cups on their turn which would hold up any queue.

Our room was great, the beds were comfy, spacious bathroom. Every day we came back we had fresh towels and replenished bottle of water, can’t fault our room or the staff that look after rooms.

The hotel is beautiful, and alleas are well maintained and kept clean which is due to the hard work of the cleaners!

We had a late flight on the day of checkout, I spoke with the reception team and they gave us a courtesy room, the hotel provides a safe area to store luggage, which meant we could enjoy the day in the sun, get showered then get ready to leave for the airport.

All in all had a great stay, The hotel staff were friendly and hard-working and I would revisit.

Nice hotel but sadly not one we would return to.. We upgraded to Premium whilst the room was nice found beds uncomfortable. Some days our soft drinks would be topped up & we would be left a fresh bottle of water other days nothing think it depended on who cleaned room. With Premium upgrade you have a different restaurant for meals. You were supposed to present a slip of paper on entry to prove you had access . On our first morning at breakfast which i can say was excellent & a fantastic choice of food we were told our slip of paper did not need to be produced? Apparently they can tell by different colour room key wrist bands. This is OK if there is a member of staff checking on entry but sadly this was not the case & on more than one occasion we saw people tucking in to breakfast when they were not entitled to entry. It was the same on roof terrace during the day certain member of staff did not bother who he let in again found this annoying.
For a refurbished hotel the lifts are very slow & there does not seem enough of them luckily we were able to use stairs as on 2nd floor. The direct access to beach is good but it's a good walk o get there & get back in the heat there is a gradual incline. The hotel is very big and nit sure I would want to be there in peak season. Other than that it's a nice hotel & definitely worth extra to upgrade to Premium. We experienced the 2nd restaurant on our last day as Premium was closed for maintenance there is definitely a difference in qualifying food provided it was OK but a few items missing & not the cooked to order availability.

Beautiful hotel and fantastic location. I emailed in advance to ask for a low floor room close in the main block as we needed quick access to our room to make bottles for our baby throughout the day and we were given this on arrival. Very helpful reception staff too who helped to ensure our room was ready 30 minutes before check in when we arrived at the hotel which was fantastic after a long morning travelling with 2 kids.
Excellent splash park, which was still warm enough to enjoy at the end of October and also the indoor pool was fantastic and warm enough too.
Excellent location - on the beach and with so many places within walking distance. This was great on our last day when the weather wasn’t the best. There have been a lot of muggings reported on Facebook groups near the marina so this is worth noting to ensure you are extra careful with your bags and belongings. We didn’t experience this though.
Breakfast was delicious. We went around 8:30am every morning and didn’t have to queue for food or coffee. The tables near the glass windows overlooking the beach were perfect to watch the morning sunrise whilst eating breakfast. However, the evening meals were like feeding time at the zoo! Queues for food were horrendous and sometimes we struggled to get a table (and to get some food!). We found it slightly more bearable eating later (8pm onwards) rather than between 6-8pm. The other restaurant for premium guests needs to be open all year round to make the evening meal more enjoyable and relaxing.
We got chatting to quite a few other guests who were staying in nearby apartments and were using the hotel pools for the day, apparently the hotel allows this out of season. They were all very nice to chat to but it is worth noting that outside guests are able to come into the hotel and use the facilities.
The evening entertainment sadly let the hotel down for us. They played a couple of songs two nights for a ‘mini disco’ and any shows started late at 9:30-10pm. We are hoping the lack of entertainment at night was just due to being out of season. The arcade was good for passing some time in the evening with children. Would also recommend Bar Ole in the square next to the hotel in the evenings if you want to venture out.
The rooftop bar is lovely and can be used after 5pm if you are not premium. Very reasonable drinks prices in the hotel too.
As others have already mentioned, there are lots of things that still need to be fixed in the hotel. It rains in a lot in the hotel which floods bar underneath reception.
We would return again but maybe in a few years when the hotel is hopefully running a little more smoothly. Thank you for a great stay and a lovely first holiday for our baby.

Stayed for 3 nights the second week of December. Booked the Triton as a change of hotel from the original place we had booked as it seemed the first choice wouldn't be suitable.

Arrived at near midnight and check in was fairly quick and the room was lovely, we were upgraded to a premium room. Beds were co fire, towels were provided in premium rooms and housekeeping for cleaning is offered daily.
A review further down mentions the age group of the clientele but for myself and my child who has additional needs, this was a bonus as it was fairly quiet.
I found the housekeeping staff to be much more helpful helping us navigate the hotel than the actual front desk staff. As mentioned a few times, there are different buildings with different lifts and this can make finding your way round a bit difficult.
Excellent location on a main street and ubers to and from the airport were cheap as it isn't far from it. Local shops very reasonably priced.
Good variety of food, I didn't use the coffee machine so can't comment on the queues but the price for soft drinks with our meals was very reasonable and juice is provided in with breakfast.
Will be free returning in June.

Beautiful hotel - lots of space, lovely furniture, decor very modern. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food good. Lovely views and great location.
Great access directly to the beach. Rooms are secured by electric lock which you're given a wristband to open which is really easy and you're never able to come out of your room and accidently leave the key behind!
