Dirty, not wellness hotel. This hotel has no stars, according to the owner. The whole hotel smells awful from the kitchen. We have checked out after 4 hours of stay and they billed us 115 euros, for nothing. The spa area is a lame joke. Dirty, small, smelly. The food is acceptable, greasy..."hungarian kitchen". The bathroom is awful, the closets are dusty. I am sorry for the lost money.
The hotel is absolutely not 4*. +: The breakfast is OK, all you can eat with a fair variety of food. The city spa is very near in about a 5 minutes walking distance. -: The "wellness" is poor, 1 cold pool a whirlpool bath and a sauna out of order. A la carte dinner after your choice at breakfast: the staff lost our dinner ordering once, and after the reordering at dinner time they couldn't provide us our chosen meals any more. :( The price list of the drinks at dinner is hidden, let you be surprised at the check out. The conditions of the room were a bit poor with a prolapsed electric socket in the bathroom, for using the mini-safe at the first time the staff should have been called for help to reset it. As we are Hungarian we hadn't any language problems with the staff.
If you don't speak Hungarian your vacation is doomed. There was only one person who spoke English and he was there for a couple of hours from our entire 2 days vacation...for the rest of the time it was horrible trying to communicate with the staff. A la carte menu was actually....this is what we have so that's what you'll eat (all in Hungarian again) so choosing your dinner is a dream. The spa has a medium pool with ice cold water, and a small jacuzzi with boiling water, the saunas were turned off so we couldn't try them. They told us we have 10% discount at the aqua palace and we shall pay the ticket at the hotel, in the end we payed more that at the aqua palace. prices for drinks are not available you will just find them on your check out bill. Bath robes only if we asked and i think they were charged but we were not announced, anyway there was no one there to talk to. We wanted to pay with card and they didn't want to accept, only in the end when they were sure that we didn't have any cash. The rooms are nice and clean and the food is good but that all.…
I bougth voucher and i would like have a nice weekend with my family (wife and 1-year-old-child). At the arriving we were welcomed a not so hotel staff viewed person - he looks like person-trainer, but he was kindly. The room was ok, but i missed the pictures from the walls. As above mentioned i was also problem with the air condition - it didn't work right. My baby and i could not sleep well - almost we travel to there to have a rest!!! The bad was terrible - i felt in my bones the springs. The wellness: there are 1 cold (18 grad) pool and 1 jacuzzi, the sauna was "hold" above 40 grad - it was always switched off by the staff - maybe they wanted to save energy. The breakfast was ok - don't expect lot from it. The location of the hotel is good, the bad is about 600-800 meters, 1-3 min a walk. The staff was unfriendly (man and woman), and they didn't were "hotel dress". The garden was not nice, the plantage looked like not so good. I can hotel was pure! However i don't know why this hotel is 4*... I don't recommend You if You would like to go to the 4* hotel, it is max 3*!…
We spent there a weekend (2 nights) in May 2013 with my wife and our 8 months old baby. In the offer (voucher) there were the several attributes marked: - big, uniquely air-conditioned rooms - breakfast with a high variety of food Reality: - AC was not working as it is operating centrally (not uniquely??) and the average temperature was not high enough (as in the night it was below 25 degrees...). In the afternoon there was a temperature of ca. 30 degrees and our baby could not sleep. - Breakfast was really poor. One plate of scrambled eggs for all guests (all together), cold sausages, no juices or simple water (only coffee or tea for drinking). - The owner lady was very rude and she did not want to allow us to pay by Széchenyi card however they accept it in normal cases ('we wanted to pay a "very little" amount' which mean ca. 5.000 HUF which is not little for us...). After she explained us that this is because we did not order any dinner! (only a massage...). And she has to pay the masseur in cash (who cares anyway? In a 4 star hotel...). But finally we were allowed to pay by card... - Drink bar: based on the homepage there are many types of drinks, cocktails. In the reality they could not mix any alcohol-free cocktails, finally we got an orange juice... - Wellness: there are two pools. One is extremely cold (about 18-20 degrees), the other one, the jacuzzi is extremely hot (round 40 degrees)... - We lost a toy at breakfast and asked the waiter about it. He told us that he didn't know as he was not there in the afternoon. We (!) should call the colleagues who were working in the morning and ask them. However the atmosphere of the town and the restaurants in the city are worth to visit. But choose another accommodation :)…
