The Quality Inn Dallas East is a gem of a find. The value for the dollar here just can't be beat. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They greeted me at every opportunity and made sure all was well with my stay. The hot breakfast was another bonus. Really great choices and variety - delicious as well. I will be back next time I am staying in the Dallas area.

I checked in on a Sunday afternoon. I stayed until I was VERY RUDELY kicked out of the hotel by the OWNER the following Wednesday evening 10:00pm. Sunday afternoon, the gentleman at the front desk was very polite and proffessional. The next day, I was at work and noticed what I thought was a Mosquito bite. I payed no attention. The following day I was at work at felt a stinging, burning sensation on the back of my neck. I thought a spider may be in the hotel room and it had bitten me a couple of times. I thought nothing of it. The following day I was at the hotel watcging tv and THOUGHT I saw a BABY ROACH. So I immediately killed it. I thought nothing about it because roaches are everywhere. No biggie. That Wednesday after work I was in my underwear with the cover on top of me watching tv when I felt something on my leg. I immediately pulled the covers back and I THOUGHT I saw another BABY ROACH. Then it snapped....was that a BED BUG? Am I being BIT by bed bugs? I Googled pic of them, because Ive never seen them, and SURE ENOUGH! Thats what was happening! I put my clothes on and went downstairs to the front desk and told the lady. She moved me to another room and was very polite and proffessional. I packed my things and moved to a different room. I unpacked my things and immediately jumped into the bath, to get the bed bugs off me, & the hot water DIDNT work. I called the front desk and she said she had no idea why it wasnt working and she would call the owner and call me back. She called back in 2 min. And said the owner told her the faucets were backwards. So I turned them on backwards and the hot water came on. I was taking a bath and the lady at the front desk called to make sure everything was OK with the room and I was ok. Which was very proffessional and thoughtful. I asked her to have the owner call me because I needed to speak to him about the bites all over my neck and chest. To ask him if he would bring me some medicine, pay my Dr. bill or comp the room the last night. She said she would call him and call me back. She called me back in 3-4 min and relayed to me that the owner said I had 10 min TO GET OUT OF THE HOTEL. I was in SHOCK & DISBELIEF that the owner would belittle me after I had been eatin up with bed bugs in his hotel. I have never been treated so rudely. I then got my things, AGAIN & went to a different hotel. I arrived at my home the following evening after work and travel. Took my suitcase in my home and though nothing of it. I was taking a bath and noticed baby bed bugs were dead in the water I had bathed in. I then FREAKED OUT! Bed bugs were in my home! I threw the suitcase and all belongings in the trash and IMMEDIATELY sprayed my ENTIRE home. Carpets, walls, bed, washed all bed sheets and pillows. The following day, I shampood my carpets and cleaned every room in my house VERY THOUROUGHLY. I spent 14 hours doing this. I couldnt sleep for 1 1/2 weeks because I thought bed bugs were crawling all over me while I slept! VERY EXAUSTING!I will be calling the Hotel Association and the Heath Department! This is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS & I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy!

We stayed nine days for a national tournament and we were far from disappointed. The manager was wonderful. He helped us out whenever we had a question and didn't balk when we decided to keep the King bed room (sending our teen to stay with friends) instead of the double we had booked originally. The cleaning staff was lovely but as they don't offer fresh towels or linens often (water conservancy), we sometimes had to chase down a new washcloth. Our room was clean and well-appointed. It was 105+ degrees while we were there so it wasn't always that cool and got a little musty by the end of our stay (likely a weather issue, not a hotel issue). The hotel is very conveniently located to Dallas, but there is currently construction on the main road, blocking the lane closest to the entrance. It wasn't a problem once you got used to knowing where to turn. There are also many good restaurants in the area. We gratefully used the laundry (one washer and dryer upstairs) on our last day. We did not use the pool but it seemed clean. The only drawback was the lack of variety in the the breakfast offerings. Eight consecutive days of rubber egg rounds and sausage and I was more than ready for something new and different. Happy to have the free food, but wish it could be changed up a bit sometimes.

It was late when we arrived. Front desk agent was really welcoming and checked us in. Guided us to the room. Gave us goodie bag. Very pleasant check in. Room was clean, comfortable beds and spotless. Morning breakfast was great. Too many options. Definitely worth the price I paid.
