Great chalet, great hosts, great ski in and out. Altogether a relaxing and very happy week. Can highly recommend any of the chalets Francesca has in her portfolio / she makes sure everything is to a high standard so you really do enjoy a stress free stay you
Spent a week here with my parents and some friends of the family, and I would first of all really like to say a massive thank you to Jennifer (hostess) and Darren (chef) for a wonderful week. Jennifer was attentive and friendly, and Darren's cuisine, European classics fused with influences of Japanese and Korean cuisine, was outstanding. Indeed, some of our party had been skiing since the late 70s and early 80s, and they said that this was some of the best, if not THE best, service and food they've had in a chalet. The lounge was also spacious and relaxing, and the hot tub and balcony went down a treat. The rooms were nice too, and the boot room was very spacious (not some pokey cupboard like at many chalets and ski resort hotels).
Francesca and her team do it again. The attention to detail and level of care is second to none. If you are planning a trip this season look no further than Flocon de Neiges where Darren’s talented and tasteful dishes and Lucy’s attentive hostessing will make your week one to remember. The chalet is spacious and comfortable and Rachael , the resort manager, very helpful organising ski passes, yoga sessions and Massage therapy for tired muscles. Can not recommend this team enough
We were 3 families, with 8 children between us ranging from 3 to 10 years and we stayed for the February half term week. Due to the vagaries of 'Easy'Jet, we arrived quite late in the evening but were warmly welcomed by Joe, Will and Zoe. Kids were fed well and put to bed. Joanna the in-resort concierge came by with ski details and the adults were (well) watered and fed. All the PowdernShine staff were lovely and helpful. The food was amazing, the wine pairings super. The kids and dads made full use of the outdoor jacuzzi most days. The chalet location was pretty near perfect (2 minute walk). Things to consider: 1. We flew to Grenoble and it's a 3 hour transfer time. 2. The walk to the slopes could do with some gritting as it got really icy with children falling like skittles. 3. The lack of a large central coffee table made the after dinner game of Trivial Pursuit slightly challenging. 4. The 3 rooms on the same floor as the living space can be a little noisy at nights when people come back in (I think 3 PowdernShine staff live in). 5. Rooms are not large, and not much storage space.Don't pack much in terms of clothing - a couple of jumpers and stretchy trousers should do the trick. 6. The circular stairs are quite narrow and steep and the railing on the top floor was a little wobbly. 7. No dvds for children so make sure you bring your own. 8. Floor was a little cold - fluffy slippers essential. Highlights: 1. Joe's cooking. Homemade fish and chips, croziflette, chicken pie, crumble and pana cotta for the children. 2. Joe's cooking. The adult meals were ridiculously good. 3. Fizzy, red and white wines all good, and all matched to the canapes and meal. 4. Indoor and outdoor tub. Not sure I can manage a skiing holiday without this in the future. 5. Joanna's super organising skills - nothing was too much trouble. Bottom line is we liked it so much we've already re-booked for February half term next year. Thanks Francesca, Steve, Joe, Will, Zoe and Joanna.…
A fantastic week in Reberty at February half-term. We were treated to an amazing high standard of food by Joe, all dishes were great and a few were truly outstanding! Zoe and Kate did a fabulous job in keeping the chalet running well and looking after us and our lovely fellow guests. We have come to expect very high standards from Powder n Shine and we were in no way disappointed. Thanks are also due to Joanna for taking care of the behind the scenes organisation, a great job all round. Francesca has once again assembled a really great team in Reberty and we are sure to be back for a 9th time. Reberty is in such a perfect location to explore the 3 Vallees and the team at Flocon des Neiges added to our enjoyment of the fantastic skiing conditions.
