Had a brilliant time atFront de Neige. pretty much everything was great, but the only downside was the booking in online- didn't receive the SMS message and was left waiting for ages to actually get in the roo m
Our stay was good. Their are very few amenities in the appartment so you need to take everything yourself. You also don't get a free replacement of towels, it is paid. The swimming pool was quite cold, and therefore not comfortable unfortunately. There was a weed/smokers smell in the corridors and a funny smell in the appartment as well. The staff was very nice, and the location is great. Good parking spots and nice bakery services provided. The apartment itself is small but functional and not very expensive. The beds were really hard and not comfortable.
We were a group of eight using 3 apartments, the place itself is clean and in a well equipped area. Unfortunately we arrived late, shops were closed, there was nothing in ie; no toilet roll, wash liquid, tea towels or condiments such as sugar salt etc. The rooms were equipped but we had to make the beds etc, the mattress had hairs on it and the sofa had some staining. It's wasn't great for a 4 star residence. The t.v has channels but nothing in English, so not really any use. There is internet but can be weak. There is a pool but no lifeguard. There is a sauna, I never seen it but you have to pay extra to use it, also if you want an extra towel you have to pay 9 euro, I find that a little rich. I queries this at reception but to no avale. The hotel is a lil confusing in layout and all the signage is in french, no phone in the room so you can't call reception. It's a bit of a trek. Beware of the 500 euro deposit, if you don't totally clean the place before leaving you could be liable. I wonder what the cleaning staff do as the guests are required to even mop the floors before leaving. The rooms are very warm so we struggled to sleep. The first floor can be noisy, we were over the bar and restaurant in dblock, try to avoid, we could hear cupboard doors banging closed etc. They could do a better job clearing the paths as it's on a slope and quite treacherous in ski boots..it's technically not ski in and out if your a beginner, so be mindful, it's quite a tough walk from the telebus in ski boots. The are itself is great we were pleased overall, it has lots of lovely places to eat and shops and it's easy enough to get to the the center.…
Stayed here at the beginning of February, nice apartment, well equipped and comfortable but can be very warm even with the heat turned down. You do have to make your bed when you arrive and they only give you one set of towels for the week if you want more they will cost you 9 euro. They also don't supply a cleaning kit so make sure to bring T towel, washing up liquid and toilet roll, we got in late with no shops open and there was no loo roll in our apartment It's right on a blue slope but be warned its not a blue suitable for beginners as it has a few steep parts. Ski school do offer a free bus down to plagne center and you can get the telebus back up but it's a bit of a walk in ski boots uphill on icy paths. So it's not the best spot for a beginner but it's perfect for ski in ski out if your a better skier. There is a boot room below with lockers. There is a restaurant and bar called the chairlift at the end of the building and the spar shop is about 5min away, the ski hire shop is across the slope and there is another spar and a few other bars and restaurants there too. You can order bread and pasterys to be delivered to reception every morning. The swimming pool is nice and free but you do have to pay to use the sauna. It is a bit of a confusing building to find your way around the signs are not great and if your in building D it's a long walk to reception. But over all it's a good place to stay…
Having stayed with Odalys before, I knew roughly what to expect. Check in took less than 1 minute, don't forget there is a €500 credit card swipe needed. However, my reasonably low expectations were Ill placed. This is a modern block, rooms are comfortable and well appointed (don't get me wrong, it's still a bedroom with a kitchen, nothing more). It was clean (a real comfort in a COVID world) it was functional and the location right on the slopes is great. You can buy ski passes in the lobby. The Spa is €8 it you get it to yourself for 30 mins. The pool is pretty good, again, very clean, warm enough for a swim and seemed to be the place to be for all the kids. There is a Spar Supermarket about 2/3 min walk away. The staff were great, multilingual - Delphine in particular always seemed to deal with my questions. Top tips, take some slippers or flip flops as no ski boots in doors. Second, don't leave your boots in ski room as it's cold so they don't dry. You need your COVID pass at the moment for the lifts - they check at random and finally, I had bought some cleaning wipes from UK with me and they did the job of cleaning up perfectly. For the 1st ski since COVID, I couldn't have hoped for any better, thank you to the whole Odalys team at Front De Neige…
excellent place to stay great accomodation, practical, well equiped, warm, clean and right next to the slopes for easy ski in ski out with pommer lift opposite to avoid the crowds and get to the Bellecote Ski area
Perfect location, accommodation was excellent. We were allowed to check in around 2:00 when it was quiet. Bed linen and towels in the apartment, no issue getting extra towels if you require. Could not fault anything
Whilst the location is excellent and the staff friendly, the accomodation is very basic. It is more three star than four. We had a good holiday despite the issues however. The service provided feels rather grudging and there are certainly no extras. 1. Upon arrival guests have to provide an inventory of any damage to the room, which is held against a deposit. 1. Guests are provided with towels and bedding and are expected to make up their own beds at the beginning of the stay. (We were not in fact provided with duvet covers until the second day. 2. Guests have to clean (and wash floors) of the whole apparetment on departure - a deposit is held in case this is not done properly. 3. There is no bathroom soap provided and only 1 roll of toilet paper. 4. The pool area does not provide towels. 5. There is a charge for the sauna / steam room. 6. Our next door neighbours appeared to be cannabis smokers and the smell permeeated our room each evening. 7. The layout of the building is very confusing and it is easy to get lost! The accommodation feels institutional and mean. 8. The room was soleless and did not reflect the picture in the brochure, which was much nicer. This is a shame - we stayed in 4 star Odalys accomodation last year in les Arcs (Eden Arc) which was lovely - so this was a disappointment. All was saved by great snow and fabulous skiing.…
An excellent location with welcoming and friendly staff and excellent service. The bed is excellent and guarantees a good sleep after a hard day skiing. The sofa bed is uncomfortable as a sofa due to the lack of rigid arms for support.
Room was clean, location was good although, ski-in, ski-out is more 10m walk out cross a small road before you’re on the slopes. We weren’t aware of the €500 security deposit until being asked for it on check in. Be aware that your room needs to be inspected prior to leaving, however, if you check out before 8am; as we did, no-one is available to inspect your room and you are left in limbo whether your security deposit will be retuned. Make sure you complete a full inventory and inspection when you arrive highlighting any issues with the room. We arrived early knowing check in didn’t open until 1700 however, whilst we were able to store our luggage, this was in the children’s play area which was unsecure. There are 2 ski & boot storage rooms, only one of which has access to the slopes, however, you are not able to walk around the hotel in ski boots and have to collect your equipment from one room before carrying it to the other to get ready. Overall a good trip, I would stay again now that I know how the hotel operates. …
