Great service, rooms good but tired. Kitchen too small to cook. Great options from restaurant to take food to rooms. Ski lockers big but not heated so damp. Great service at Intersport and so convenient. Ski in/out great for intermediate skiers.
We stayed as two families in one of the six bedroom apartments in Sun Valley Resident and thought it was great. Clean, good sized rooms, separate bathrooms (x2) and toilets (x2) with a lovely view out over the slopes. The apartment is a very short walk from the small village centre and ski school - which was great in the mornings. You can order bread and pastries for the mornings, easy take away evening meals from the restaurant (eg. €18 for a roast chicken and potatoes that easily fed 4 with leftovers), there is a pool, hot tub and sauna in the basement, a bar with (overpriced!) pool table, and an underground carpark (€63 for the week). Basically it's a very good set up and all very good value to boot. The kitchen is small but well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery, a hob, microwave and small oven - plus dishwasher. The downsides? The living area is a bit small - one sofa and one armchair - but we managed with 4 adults and 5 kids, so it's not uncomfortable. And it would be nice if they provided bigger towels and a sharp knife, but those are small gripes. We had a lovely time and would definitely return again.…
We were 7 and rented an apartment for 14 and that was just ok! In the sofa was only place for 4 and with 7 around the dining table the dining room was almost filled., so 14 people would have been a nightmare. Two toilets wouldn’t have been enough for 14 people either and the hot water was already gone after 4 or 5 people took a shower. Rooms are good and kitchen equipment is decent. The carpet in the living area was quite worn. Well situated on the slopes but not good value for money.
Truly ski-in ski-out, this gem in La Plagne Soleil has a lot going for it and would book again. We had a large 6 bedroom chalet which had good sized bedrooms and a good kitchen area. Clean and spacious the apartment was perfect, with fridge, freezer section, cooker and combi-microwave, a large larder cupboard, hairdryers in two bathrooms, and laundry facilities in the complex and the spa swimming pool which kept the kids happy. The kitchen had plenty of crockery and cutlery for more than 12, and we had most things required for self catering. Would suggest bringing a sharp knife - we only had a very small one in the drawer; and a cake tin if you plan to try and make the traditional cake after skiing. We managed with the flan tin provided. There was a coffee machine for welcome fresh coffee every morning. A private balcony gave great views and was used as an extra fridge/freezer. The lounge area only sat four people on one sofa and one chair, which was annoying. There are only two toilets for the whole apartment, but the three bathrooms were enough for one per family. This worked OK despite our initial reservations. The reception staff were very friendly and happy to help, although having only 2 keys between 12 people was not ideal and the reception being shut between 12-4 meant that keys left there could not be accessed. The boot room was the same size whether you have 12 people or 2 people in your apartment - so we didn't use it - because you needed a key to access (see only two keys issue) and it didn't fit our skis and boots. We booked via skiworld but if we went back would book direct, skiworld did not add any value and we didn't see a resort rep between getting off the coach to getting back on. The resort is brilliant. ESF Ski school is 100m from the apartments, there is a small square with a Spar shop and a few restaurants and bars. A regular free resort bus stops outside the apartments to get to other areas, and a quick walk across the main piste allows you to take a bubble to Plagne Centre all day. The kids (11-15) sledged on the pistes after they were shut at 5pm and really enjoyed the freedom a small resort gives. The ski-in ski-out onto a short blue slope took us to the main ski lifts in Plagne Centre every morning. We would recommend these apartments.…
Nice hotel. Nice pool area. Ski in, ski out. Friendly enough staff. Self catered so can’t comment on the food. Fresh bread available daily. Well serviced area with free buses, cable car to to Plagne Centre. We arrived at 14.00 (after a 04.00 flight check in) to be told our room wouldn’t be available till 17.00. With two kids (5 & 3) not what we wanted to hear and meant missing out on an afternoon’s skiing. 17.00 is normal, apparently, but Crystal Ski Holidays played dumb about it and were absent on our arrival, quelle surprise. Overall, I would happily go back to Sun Valley but will avoid using Crystal Ski, if I can.
Nice roomy apartment. 2 bathrooms and a separate toilet 3 bedrooms lounge area large tv with english channels ( netflix) 4 ring hob microwave and dishwasher excellent views ski in /ski out arrived mid afternoon and the room was ready. underground parking is available or open to the elements just outside the hotel if places are available. a free bus takes you to a chair lift ( yoghurt pots) into plagne centre where there are plenty of bars and restaurants many bars offering happy hours. the shuttle bus and lifts run till about 10pm but dont hold me to that .
An excellent, roomy apartment. Slept 4 of us very comfortably. Staff friendly and helpful and location excellent. Only downside is that the ski-in ski-out slope is rather steep for beginners or those finding their ski legs after a few years.
+++ very smooth booking process, friendly staff, excellent location right by the slopes, spacious lockers, ski rental shop in the same building, clean rooms, beds in good condition, very quite area at night, gorgeous views all over the station - - - need improvement: lockers temperature to keep boots dry overnight, jacuzzi, hammam,
Room horrendous, had paid more for a big apartment with two bathrooms incl,. hopefully a bath. Just two of us. They gave us a disabled apartment for 6. Unsuitable for even disabled, one shower room and toilet, whole room totally flooded all week, I cant do showers .Kept their towels on floor all week Fortunately I always take my own theirs are always minute., carpet outside soaked very nasty, .One small cupboard unable to unpack. No view from balcony, below ground floor at back. .Restaurant hopeless, we were lucky to get any drink before dessert. Pool dreadful, changing rooms disgusting and flooded.. Piste outside red/blue Satelite TV no English channels. Supposedly built to a very high standard, ,doorstep skiing!! fantastic piste side location! .Fantastic, spectacular, views. Excellent, High quality accommodation. Crystal whom my contract was with, are in contravention of the consumer act 2015. Neither them nor Sun Valley Apartments have ever bothered to reply to me. This week was absolutely horrendous it is our only holiday of the year and cost a fortune.…
We stayed at this apartment for a skiing holiday in March 2018. Very high quality - very spacious, warm, quiet, good views and access to ski slopes, comfortable beds, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms - much better than similarly priced apartments we have stayed at in other resorts.
