We've used this hotel a couple of times as it's very close to the Eurotunnel, approximately 30 minutes, but is still very French. The hotel is family run and very friendly, the restaurant is wonderful set in a very large conservatory with view across the garden and down the valley to the distant St Omer. The food is typically French... More

Living in the North of England and wanting to take your car to Europe there are only two choices. Take the Hull ferry or battle your way South and use a channel crossing. We have been doing one or the other for more years than I care to remember. If doing the channel crossing this is the best value for... More

The public areas of the hotel - reception, lounge, dining - were beautiful and quite grand! The grounds & views were sensational! The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful with explaining the menu to us, despite our lack of French. Dinner was exceptional - both with presentation & taste. Breakfast was a buffet and the selection was amazing &... More

Great overnight stop not far off the A26 - the most excellent restaurant and food. Try the Lobster. Lovely family run hotel with clean rooms in the main building and surrounding buildings. Dog friendly hotel.

Situated in the small village of Wisques, just outside St Omer, in beautiful countryside. Accommodation consists of rooms in the main building as well as chalet style buildings around it and is kept very clean. Restaurant superb with good quality food and friendly service. Pleasant, friendly, owners, this is ideally placed for the Eurotunnel and Calais as well as a... More

If you need to stay near Calais but don't fancy the very few attractions of the seaport itself, head 30 minutes down the A26 and discover the delights of la Sapiniere, only a few minutes from the autoroute. Originally a hunting lodge and a retreat for pilgrims, the hotel has been sympathetically and attractively extended to provide a pleasant, relaxing... More

You can only speak as you find , right? Having read the 2 previous reviews my wife and I were a little apprehensive but it was a last minute trip and choice was a tad limited. We arrived late Friday afternoon whilst the owners were having dinner and the could not have been more friendly, helpful and welcoming. We stayed in... More

The hotel was nice, the staff were ok but not marvellous. The Male owner which we think is the husband of the husband and wife team was a disgrace. we were on a company break 5 lads and 2 girls. The hotelier was rude from the start and when I say rude I mean DIABOLICALLY RUDE. Didin't like us playing... More

Good room in the main building, plenty of space, large bed, couple of armchairs. We had dinner choosing the 34.5€ menu and enjoyed our meals though you need to have good appetites to do justice to what is delivered to the table. My starter was a salade landaise and the foie gras included was large enough to be a starter... More
