The usual hotel we stay in was fully booked so we tried this one. The hotel was very nice and clean and at a excellent price. Takes around 15 mins to walk to the main square although there are some bars near by on the canal. Right next to the old train station although you can't hear it. Ate at... More

We had an evening meal here with a large group of friends. The set menu was served to suit our evening which included some short speeches, and we weren't hurried. Each course, given the number being served, was served hot, and in a timely manner and the staff were very pleasant and welcoming to our party.

A good hotel for an overnight stay. It was clean and warm and staff were very pleasant. The room and en-suite were a little on the small side so that an overnight stop was fine any longer it would be a bit of a struggle especially the en-suite.

Our room was on the first floor and was comfortable and clean. The shower was very good and the room was warm even thought it was freezing outside. The hotel is well placed for visiting the town and right next to the station if you want to travel further. The breakfast is good and the coffee hot and strong. The... More

A good hotel for an overnight stay. The staff were great and the restaurant food was really good. The room was fine and the price was good. I'd stay there again. It's in a good situation with bars etc nearby. Really good parking as well.

uWe arrived on Saturday evening and there was no-one around, although it wasn't a problem as the key was left with our name on. It was cheap and cheerful but I have to admit that the smell of drains in our room was rather off-putting. It did get a bit better with the window open and lots of water flushed... More

I often have a laugh at the faults people find and moan about in reviews. Before coming here, I noted that the state of the stair carpet had offended a number of reviewers. On arrival I too was appalled at the threadbare state of it......then I pulled myself together, got over it and carried on with my holiday. If you're... More

My first impression was that this is a smart little hotel. The restuarant is stylish with a good menu, and the staff are welcoming. However, I doubt I'd stay again. There is no air conditioning in the room, which made the summer heat unbearable and I had a sleepless night. The room had an odd smell, and the shower was... More

A wonderfully quirky hotel well-worth a visit! The stairs are steep to the first floor and the room overlooked the large square in front of the station (which is currently under subtle renovation). The bed was very comfortable and there was a fan to keep the room cool. We were not disturbed by any train noise although the trains do... More

This hotel is quite basic, don't expect any frills because you will be disappointed. It is situated by the railway station and is a 10 minute walk to the town centre. Good car park to the rear. The key was left with our name there was no one in reception. Our room was up a flight of quite steep stairs,... More
