While visiting the battlefields of Verdun, we were lucky enough to stay in this charming B & B with dinner included. It was nice not to have to find a place for dinner after a relatively long day of touring the war sites. From the Chateau de Labessiere it is a very short drive to all the major sites. Rene... More

Had wanted to come here for at least 6 years. We visited fom August 8th to 12th and stayed in the spacious Chambre Bleu which we loved. Our purpose was to do self guided walks of some of the Verdun battlefields using the Christina Holstein books as a guide. We knew we had chosen the right place to stay when... More

The fine dining included is absolutely excellent, although there are never too many guests staying at the chateau. For 30 euros a head for dinner, you get an aperitif, starter, main, dessert and after dinner brandy. Lovely old chateau with a nice swimming pool, parking, but with a slightly tight entrance if you have a big car! Wifi was limited... More

Extremely hospitable and charming hosts who provide an outstanding dinner and breakfast, with very spacious and comfortable accommodation. After traveling for 10 hours, it was exactly what was needed! My children also had a gorgeous swim in the pool. All in all, a great find and would recommend.

My father and I stayed at Chateau de Labessiere in late June 2016, in order to tour the Verdun WWI sites. The chateau is beautiful, and you can see it has been lovingly restored. We had the largest room, and it was very clean and comfortable for our two nights. Perhaps the main attraction, however, is the food! Our first... More
