We have stayed at the Manggar previously and decided to again as our flight arrived at midnight. I took advantage of the free one way shuttle and a driver was patiently waiting for us after midnight. The hotel is clean, comfortable beds and a nice little seating area outside. The pool is lovely and clean. Quiet season in March so we had breakfast cooked to order but the eggs were delicious, tea and coffee good and mountains of toast. There is a small shop across the lane that sells snacks and drinks. The hotel is only a short walk into Kuta but where it is located is beautiful and quiet. We really enjoy our time at Manggar Indonesia.

I had to sleep with the lamp on as it wouldn’t switch off, it was torn and dirty and started crackling like it was about to catch on fire. The floors were beyond disgusting. The bathroom was filthy with scum on the wall which was easy enough to wipe away, giving me the impression that no one had even attempted to clean it in a very long time. The outside area was disgusting, it looked as though someone had used the planter with the dead plant as a toilet. The staff were nice, the pool and breaky area were clean and tidy. Check in was was easy.

We specifically picked Manggar as it already had a pretty good rating and we just needed somewhere to put our bags and kick back for a half a day waiting for our flight. The staff were great and while the place wasn't a 4 or 5-star hotel (they clearly state it's a 3 star), the value for money was excellent.

I had 8 hours transit after finishing Ubud visit and return to Kuta.  I booked a hotel based on that the fact that they have free Shuttle service to airport.  The place is good around 15~20 minutes on foot from Kuta center, just three minutes on foot you will find shops, also it is 10 minutes away from airport by car which was idle for my transit situation.  The room is small, sheets and towels was very bad and totally torn out from usage.  The bathroom also was not in the best condition.  Staff was nice and punctual and the timing for airport shuttle service was sharp.  It is not recommended for sleeping over at all.  It is idle if you want a place to drop your bags until you travel.  I didn't try breakfast or any other services but the room is a really small and out of any luxury.
