We just check out from Rama beach resort today. It was an awesome property to stay in Kutta, Bali. This property is almost 20+ years old and they keep it renovated. The food, staff customer service and ambience deserved a 10 rating. We booked the highest category room (also mentioned by the front staff) while check-in. Today (28/5) being the last day of our trip we ordered for a floating breakfast and was fantabulous. I settled all the bills before checkout and while boarding the luggages on to the car. We were asked to come to the lobby for a moment. The on-duty front office receptionist Mahendra questioned us about a missing cup and saucer in the room during inspection after we checked out. First, we explained politely that we have no idea and you might want to check it again. They insisted someone to tag along with them for the inspection. My wife went along and didn't find it in the room. We told him that when we are booking such an expensive room in the property do you think we will be sneaking out a cup and saucer and if at all we had broken it we would taken the responsibility of paying it off. Mahendran said either you pay 200k for the cup and saucer or if you are not guilty then we have to check your complete luggage. He also said that one Indian family staying in 2rooms wherein one child sneaked a towel while checkout and got red handed after questioning. So looks like he is doing racial profiling! Again he said, sir I'm doing just the job otherwise I would be fined. I totally get it. But is the management looking into these things or not? I doubt. We said, first of all you are humiliating by stopping us from checking out and second off all we are delayed to catch our flight. We asked him to call his boss and since it's Sunday he is off. But I said you call him on his mobile and to come over here at the hotel. We did ask him a hypothetical question we are staying there during night and day we are off for visiting places and their team clean things and make it tidy. What if they break it or hide it!! He said our supervisor checks it everytime after cleaning. So it means they didn't find it while cleaning and making up things!! We said if you search our things we wanted things to be arranged in the same manner as we have taken time ( minimum 2hours with all the shopping 😉) to arrange things in our luggage. Things didn't go down south again But the thing is after arguing many a times he kept saying the same statement. We said, if the item is not available in the suitcase then you might want give me 1million and then he said if it's found i have to pay back 4million. And after all these altercation he said write in a paper that you are allowing to search in our luggage. I said I will write but I will also include the monetary compensation you have spoken to us during checkout. For which he backed out and said, let me call the restaurant manager/ duty incharge. After explaining the situation to the manager he said, let me handle this from our end. And he also said if at all they are taking cup and saucer why would they take just one instead of two. It might have been misplaced somewhere else and sorry for the trouble. After all these drama Mahendra came and apologized to us Lessons for him and the hotel management: You are underestimating the customer and losing the customer loyalty by doing such activities. And doing racial discrimination! Just because someone one of the same ethnicity have done such things earlier by mistake it doesn't mean you can judge everyone to be the same character. After all Indians travel all the way from their country spending so much money for travel, food accomodation and sight seeing why would we sneak away used cup and saucer or a used towel. Never ever I would recommend this place just because of this incident. …

I have been coming to RAMA BEACH RESORT & VILLAS since 1987 & it never fails to impress me or my family & friends. All of the staff, old & new are absolutely amazing & yes I am always treated like family. The whole resort is impeccable, the rooms are spacious & clean, the gardens are beautiful & the pool is one of the nicest I've ever swam in. The Buffet Breakfast in the restaurant will leave you satisfied for hours & a variety on offer on the menu for the rest of the day. Snacks /Lunch/Dinner. It's just a short stroll to the beach with a new wide path that goes all the way to Seminyak, if you are up for it. Shops,Stalls,Spa's & more Restaurants are close by too or very easy to grab a driver out the front to just to go a bit further or for day tours etc. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. A special thanks always to Yuni the Sales Manager, Eka,Widi,Putu,Ayu & Dika in the Restaurant, Wayan,Dika,Yudi & Budhi - The best Bartenders!! And ALL OF THE STAFF that make this resort so special. A beautifully spread property with a very close proximity to the beach and the main Market of Kuta We stayed in the resort for 4 nights and loved the ambience the people and the food. They have an awesome front staff. Ela and Dini we thank you for your hospitality and happy to have known you. A must stay if you would like to be well connected to the main areas of Kuta.

We recently visited Rama beach hotel and it has such a lovely ambience and feel. Staff is amazing and always ready to help. We had booked a garden villa and got upgraded to Pool Villa. The villa itself was amazing. A must visit place if you are in Bali.

Very beautiful resort! Yudiana (barman) is nice, smiley and put Indonesian music! The rooms are very clean. Eric is very friendly and professional! The massage is very good! The breakfast is so délicious and big buffet! I recommend this hotel! Natalie ( Canada)

My husband and I just returned from the Rama Beach Resort after spending 29 days there. The resort is lovely and the staff is so accommodating. Our room was comfortable after having a fan brought into our room as the air conditioning was not working properly. Could not ask for anything better than the breakfast which was included in our cost - Indonesian, Chinese, Indian and North American choices. So hard to decide what you would like to have for breakfast. The pool was wonderful and the music played by the bar staff at the pool was so calm and relaxing to listen to. It is our intention to return to the Rama in 2024 for another long stay. The only complaint we have is that a certain nationality who thought the whole complex just belonged to them was very irritating. During breakfast they did not use the utensils for the food instead they used their hands, and also went swimming without proper swim wear (wore street clothes after being out all day which is totally unhygenic). Also some of these guests would literally stand on the bar to try and take pictures. The staff attempted on a number of occasions to force the rules but these people are bent on just doing their own things. …

The hotel was superb and fantastic but a little suggestions there should be more variety of indian food but every thing was fantastic and rooms were superb I would recommend everyone to visit this hotel . We enjoyed our stay and the spa service also was fantastic

Keep coming back to this lovely place. Location is amazing, staff are brilliant, warm friendly and always helpful. Great selection of breakfast and amazing onsite facilities. Beach is 2 mins away from hotel.

Thank you Rama beach for the amazing stay. We enjoyed the food and drinks so much and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Each and everyone was doing their best to make sure we had the best time in the hotel. I celebrated my 30th birthday in the hotel with a candlelight dinner and they (along with my agent and on request of my husband)organized traditional dance performances to entertain us. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who stays in Kuta, Bali.
