    Good resort
Large resort with indoor pool sauna and steam rooms. Outside pool also available (not heated) Good breakfast with large choice. Staff were very friendly. Taxes are charged on room on check out and 17.5% gratuity added on all food and drink in the resort which is consumed. A small strip of beach on resort to use and many coves added a picture. Supermarket and Mr chicken takeaway 10 min walk away to purchase food. In regards to Bermuda cars cannot be hired by tourist only electric cars which are roughly $ 150 a day or a scooter at $90 this is available at the resort. There is also a bus stop near by to take you to Hamilton which is 40 minutes away and $5 dollars per adult for a single ticket each way and very easy to use.

    Staycation... THE best staycation ever!
My birthday was Friday February 5th and I wanted to have a good massage and relaxing atmosphere to spend the weekend. I will admit Cambridge wasn't my first choice as I had never set food on the property before, but I thought their local rates were very good, there was also a spa special going on for the month of February. So I decided to give it a try. Let me say I am in LOVE with the place. The property gives you an old school island feeling and the views are priceless. The spa was great, I had a male masseuse, magic hands. I rented a one bedroom waterside cottage. It was airy spacious and very modern inside. The staff were seemingly sparse BUT very very attentive. From housekeeping to roomservice, no request was denied and every need was met very timely. The food was amazing as well and did not break the pockets. I found the menu very reasonable, they also have a meal package add on. I initially booked from the 4th to 6th, but extended my stay one extra night. I did not want to leave. It far exceeded my expectations. My new favorite place. I will be back soon.

    Relaxing but remote
Fabulous eight night stay at the beginning of the season. Beautiful resort, all but surrounded by water, and boasting two which became three lovely restaurants, an outdoor and indoor pool and a spa. All the food we ate was well prepared and beautifully presented and the fine dining Tamarisk restaurant (which may now be called something else) was absolutely excellent. The staff are friendly and professional. A very relaxing place to stay, comfortable and with almost every facility one could want. The hotel’s USP is its’ beautiful location but this is also a major disadvantage depending on what you want as the location is relatively remote. We found difficulty one evening getting a taxi back from the Dockyard area when no cruise ship was in. No management was evident to us at any time during our stay. It might have been nice to have addressed some of the following points personally! We felt that the hotel has poor communications. We were handed a newsletter on arrival. However, during our stay, a new restaurant (Shutters) was opened, there was a Mother’s Day brunch and a 5 course candlelit supper, none of which we were advised of or appeared in the newsletter - which we found strange. On our final bill, charges included dinner drinks at Sunken Harbor and breakfast at Shoreline and also lunch at Pastel - but since none of these places existed during our stay, this was rather confusing. The breakfast waiting staff did not seem to understand the concept of poached eggs and toast being served at the same time and toast often came 10 minutes after the eggs! There were different staff on the hotel reception desk but two in particular, we found repeatedly were fairly miserable and somewhat laid back. This was in contrast to most of the serving staff who were friendly, energetic and attentive. Reception is an important area and this does not give a good impression. Our room was clean and comfortable but across several days, we returned after a day out to find a mixture of shampoo, hand towels and face flannels missing and then had to wait some time for these to arrive when requested. Surely a check list would address this. While the restaurant menus had a reasonable number of options, the choice was very heavily weighted towards seafood which my wife and I don’t eat. We would have appreciated a few more non seafood options. Berries were unavailable four breakfasts in a row and any pizza and Caesar Salad was unavailable at Shutters the lunch time we ate there which we found disappointing. This is a beautiful hotel charging premium prices and one expects management to be on top of all these relatively minor points.
Hello Geraldo, thank you for taking the time to leave a thorough review. I am elated to hear that you enjoyed a fantastic 8-night stay with us! It is an absolute joy to hear that you love our property just as much as we do. From the beautiful views that add relaxation, to the comfortable rooms. I have made sure to carefully review the feedback and concerns and can assure you that there is always management staff on-site to ensure the property is running smoothly. The concerns you have stated will be formally shared with the rest of the leadership team to ensure the highest quality stay for all of our guests from beginning to end. I hope to host you again soon for another exceptional stay very

Incredible resort! Spectacular scenery. Wonderful hospitality. Staff was great. Jadhal & Aaron are badass , talented, bartenders at the Sunken Harbor Club. They have this stuff down to a science. Made our experience a lot of fun. Ashul was a bit arrogant and rubbed us the wrong way. Not great for the hospitality business. Bad apples are everywhere. All in all though, 5-star resort! Beaches are best on the planet.

Michael, I'm absolutely delighted to hear that you had an incredible experience at Cambridge Beaches and that you enjoyed the spectacular scenery and hospitality. We take great pride in our team and it's wonderful to know that Jadhal and Aaron at the Sunken Harbor Club contributed to making your stay memorable with their bartending skills and friendly service. However, I'm disheartened to hear that your interactions with other members of our team didn't meet your expectations. The property is stunning. There are water views from pretty much any spot on the property and the beach is readily accessible. The spa services are excellent and the manager (Jacqui) is simply wonderful. We had great massages & the overall experience was delightful. The front desk (Marquez) and conceirge (Ahnaz) were very helpful - organizing dining reservations as well as activities on the property. Their afternoon high tea service is lovely & certainly worth the indulgence. The accommodations are charming - 2 storied townhouse like units with 4 rooms per unit. Our room was very spacious with a lovely sitout and large bathroom with a whirlpool tub. Most amenities and restaurants on the property are typically 5-10 min walks but some walks can be steep so plan accordingly. The downsides to the property are the food overall and room servicing. While the food offers plenty of promise in terms of variety, the flavors were not memorable. Dinners at the Breezes restaurant is recommended for the lovely sunset views and the kind, attentive service. Housekeeping services were tardy and are only of average standard. Improvements in these areas would elevate a stay at this property to exceptional levels. All said, it's a location I would definitely revisit for it's warm staff, natural beauty of the property and numerous amenities. A matter to note is that the property is a 45-50 minutes car ride from the airport and the speed limit in Bermuda is 30 mph on average.

We went to Cambridge Beaches for our 20th anniversary. The experience was outstanding! It is such a unique resort with private accommodations, spectacular views and exceptional service. You wander around the resort and stumble upon private coves for lounging, swimming and snorkeling. Multiple beaches and pools. Some cottages have private infinity pools (we stayed at one of those). All water activities can be accommodated. Every staff member was genuinely friendly and helpful. The restaurants were top notch. There were 4 restaurants so you could remain on resort and have plenty of options. The dockyard is very close by and had various shops, galleries, museums and restaurants. We wouldn’t have changed a thing and we will definitely return!

The rooms are well-designed, and the property is fully equipped with amenities such as a water sports center, a bike rental shop, and tennis courts. Breakfast is a delightful experience, and dining on the beach at Breezes was a highlight. The location on a peninsula surrounded by beaches is exceptional, offering opportunities for snorkeling around isolated islands with just a short swim. General Manager Clarence displayed exceptional kindness and assistance. He resolved issues with an outside bike rental and went above and beyond by personally driving us to the dockyard when our scheduled taxi failed to arrive. We extend our gratitude for the wonderful stay!

Cambridge Beach Resort is a lovely spot in Bermuda. The resort itself is in a very quiet area on the western part of Bermuda- pretty far from the airport, about a 45 minute drive and an expensive cab ride. It’s a gorgeous property with villas. Each villa is private and ours had the most perfect view of the bay, just as advertised in the picture when I booked it. The staff here is friendly and mostly very helpful. Two front desk ladies even got us bus tokens and explained how to use the bus to get around- much cheaper than taxis or Hitch (Uber down here) and easy to use. There are a couple of things that deter from the stay. The most annoying is the food. It is overpriced, which isn’t atypical for a resort but the food is just okay, not really worth the extra upcharges. There were definitely multiple times we were pushed for ordering more, like a no thank you was responded to with “are you sure? Don’t you want another drink/dessert/more food”. Definitely a little annoying. Also, there is apparently a deal for a reduced price for golf with one of the courses and although my husband spoke with multiple staff about golfing no one mentioned it. The staff at Port Royal GC asked him if they offered it and then called our hotel to get it for him. The villa we stayed in was pretty but a little bit dated. The rugs are frayed and the furniture a bit old but it was clean and air conditioned, and it has that great view. It’s not crowded here- lots of space on the beach and it isn’t loud. I would say if you’re looking for nightlife it’s probably not for you, but we did w joy our stay overall.

I appreciate your feedback regarding the food and the service. Your observations about the pricing and the interactions with the staff are valuable insights that will be shared with the team for improvement. The room service is efficient and the food is tasty. The bed was delightfully comfortable. Front desk experience is heads and tails above other local hotels. I love the quaint use of an old-fashioned metal key to open cottage doors. The property is gorgeous and is well maintained. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant on the beach - Breezes. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Visited this spectacular place in March 2023 for our 30th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival we were immediately awestruck by the beauty of the grounds and amazing water views. We were greeted at reception with a yummy rum swizzle and were escorted to our beautifully appointed room with an amazing view of Mangrove Bay. Meals at Sunken Harbor were exceptional and the staff couldn't be nicer. If you want a place to relax and feel pampered, Cambridge is the place for you!

Location: the West end of the island, close to Dockyard - 45 min drive from airport (remembering the speed limit is 30 miles/hr) My family & I have just returned from the most fabulous stay at this unique hotel. Unlike any other hotel we have stayed in before, it is a cottage colony. No lifts or big foyers, instead a most intimate experience of having your own little home, equipped with coffee machines, mini fridges, sofas, a large TV & of course, a very efficient air conditioning system. The beds are all king size and dressed with the most comfortable pillows and mattresses. Each person is also provided with robes & slippers for extra comfort. The cottages are dotted around a headland and they provide golf cart, driven by staff, to help you get to and from the main building and pool area with ease. You could go days without seeing more than a handful of other guests, if you so wished. Food is served in 3 restaurants, at varying costs, menus and opening hours. Cocktails by the infinity pool are DIVINE. Kids are entertained by the many beaches, surrounding the property, the infinity pool, the basketball & tennis courts and a putting green. (Clubs & ball provided) In the evening, the kids are also allowed use of the indoor pool, in the Spa area. Rainy days are filled with board games, chess & games of pool in the main reception area of the hotel. As a treat we took our kids out in a boat, we hired at H2O Sports, adjacent to the hotel. It was an incredible way to see the island from a completely new perspective. We also rented paddle boards & kayaks on another afternoon. Weather permitting, all meals can be enjoyed on the many terraces, or on your private balcony if you prefer room service. We will be back. Thank you to Clarence, Richard, Alexis,BK, Nadja & the friendly reception team. Memories made for a lifetime.
