We are fans of afternoon tea. I am spoiled having had tea in some highly regarded spots including The Dorchester, The Browns and a few lovely spots on Bermuda. Tea at Rosewood was highly recommended. The Conservatory was pretty but AC did not cool the place we sat so it was hot. The pastry box was heaven. We loved the scones and lemon treat. The finger sandwiches were filled tiny ice cream cones. It was a fun and whimsical version but honestly, I longed for little finger sandwiches. Our servers were very helpful and friendly. The view of the ocean from the cafe area of the Conservatory was lovely but again, too hot. We were the only guests until the last few minutes. We did have a reservation but not sure one is needed

Hotel's Favorite
My husband and I were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary and 40th birthdays, and we are so happy we chose The Rosewood for this very special occasion. The entire hotel feels like a relaxing spa, which is exactly what we needed during our stay. The staff and management go above and beyond to make your stay special and the service is outstanding. We did the Sunset to Star Gazing dinner which we highly recommend as the food and service were impeccable (Vikram, our server was wonderful). The deep tissue massage at the Spa was the best I have ever had. The rooms are modern and beautifully decorated and the landscaping and grounds are stunning. Yes, you have to take a very short shuttle ride to get to the beach, but we hardly ever had to wait for a shuttle and if we did, it was not more than 5 mins. Any time we left the property to go to Hamilton or other hotels we found ourselves missing our Hotel. Highly recommend!

Hard to imagine any property anywhere surpassing the service of the Rosewood in Bermuda. Property was impeccable and the views were breath taking. 10 minute drive from airport and 15-20 min drive to Hamilton. Everything exceeded our very high expectations. Will definitely be returning.

Rosewood Bermuda is fantastic! The hotel, food and staff are amazing! We have stayed many times. The staff at Island Braiserre are fabulous especially Gusti, Christian and Nayumi. They treated us like royalty, always remembered our names, drink order and our kids. The food was out of this world and they accommodated if you wanted something different. Also, Sherry helped book and plan an amazing weekend for us. Thank you for a wonderful time!

We stayed at different luxury hotel before we were there. Room was much quieter. Our view from balcony was nice. I liked mini bar options. Complimentary coffee was great in the room. Beach club was very nice. Great service everywhere. more than enough room for everyone. Manager Hannah was amazing! Complimentary boat trip was great. View, spacious room, service, food, pools... Everything was what 5-start luxury hotel suppose to be. We will come back for sure!

Have no hesitation in booking a holiday at this resort. I did consider a couple of others at first but then when I started looking into it, Rosewood was clearly the perfect property, not to be missed. This Rosewood property is absolutely immaculate. Just the drive from the airport to the Rosewood resort was impressive as Bermuda is such a well tended and cared for Island. We are here for a week and I have no hesitation in writing this review after the lovely experience of our first four days. As regards Covid precautions the entire property is extremely airy, all the staff wear masks and of course the government of Bermuda take precautions as regards everyone entering, this must be as safe a destination as it gets, not only for health reasons but also its exceptionally low crime rate. Our transfer from airport was arranged by hotel concierge and went perfectly while the welcome on arrival set the tone for what was to follow. We received an electric golf buggy to get around the property which goes with the accommodation we were provided with, although where not included these can be hired and are extremely useful, as are all the charging points wherever you go. I’ve never driven a golf buggy before but I very quickly got the hang of it as well as finding my way around the resort, although a speaking map screen fitted to the golf buggy provides automatic guidance. Our suite had everything we needed, it was extremely well thought out and most impressive was the high quality and comfort of the bed and pillows. The excellent coffee and tea making facilities are complimented with a colonial style teapot and tea cups. It was all I immaculately prepared and 100% perfect and came with two large sea facing terraces however even one of their bedrooms with comfortable sofas and oversize TV together with the lavish bathrooms would be easily comfortable enough for a lengthy stay. Breakfasts in the main restaurant are perfect and the service from all of the staff is superb. I highly recommend both the buffet and the à la carte breakfast menu. Enjoying breakfast on the huge two level, sea facing terrace is an absolute joy which we lingered over for two hours every day. After breakfast we strolled over to relax by a choice of two nearby pools. We would then head for the spa or drive our electric vehicle to the golf club or to Rosewoods wonderful beach served by a superb team backed by an excellent chef, and beach restaurant and bar with all the beach and pool service one needs. We did not use the water sports beach but we did take a look and discuss how our grown-up children would have made regular use of it as they would the other sports facilities. We also spotted the kids club which many years ago would have been so brilliant as the kids would have had a good time while we as parents were able to relax. The spa is excellent, massage therapists first class I know this is always the case at rosewood resorts. The outdoor relaxation area in the spa complex adds to the pleasure of a visit. The hotel concierge service is as good as it gets with a wonderful team headed by Yolanda who is extremely impressive. They assisted us both prior to arrival and during our stay arranging a superb private transfer service to some of the restaurants on the island where tables were booked for us. Our driver on most of the transfers is Ryan who is a terrific guy with an immaculate luxury large vehicle and who was a pleasure to chat to. Restaurants and bars around the resort are superbly managed and wherever we went, the team could not be more welcoming or helpful or impressive although we did not dine at the country club restaurant as Marco the manager can’t guarantee seating on the terrace. We would have dined in their Italian restaurant on our first night but our British Airways flight from London arrived far too late. The entire resort oozes quality from every pore and this continues with the quality and freshness of restaurant ingredients as well as in the cuisine itself. Bermuda is self-sufficient when it comes to fresh vegetarian produce and fish. Menus are most enticing, we are always spoilt for choice. The atmosphere reminds me of reminds me of celebratory family events at a British Gentlemans club. On Fridays and Saturdays there is live music in the conservatory bar which I wish I had known about in advance as we have pre-booked to be dining out of the hotel on those two evenings but we will certainly arrange to be there on our next visit. Restaurants/food quality are a very important part of any trip we make and we could not be happier with the food and beverage facilities at this Rosewood resort. They have one of the best executive chefs, Mr Gerry Adams, that we have come across for some considerable time who is clearly highly talented and a fantastic manager because we could not fault anybody in his entire team anywhere on the property. He has totally got it together, his operation runs like clockwork and we also had great pleasure in meeting Gary who is his second in command. I know from experience that having a top food and beverage director as well as a superb executive chef makes what is already a great resort absolutely exceptional. Five stars are not enough for rosewood Burmuda and had I been able to do so I would have given them an extra two. The impressively relaxed feeling which this resort exudes whereever you happen to be does not deter from the fact that they have something for everyone, be it complimentary two our cruises included in the resort fee. Withtennis, golf, watersports or even complimentary movies and so much more, it is impossible not to find each day going far too quickly. There is something for everyone and all of the other guests we have encountered are clearly equally delighted to be here, it is just perfect. Even when it rains it doesn’t really matter…it has done a few times but it didn’t dampen our enjoyment of every hour. Everywhere we go senior management have thought of almost everything and the perfection is clear throughout, although on the way to breakfast one passes a black baby grand piano with a sign on informing guests not to play it. I could not resist lifting up the lid to see if it was reasonably in tune, it was. Amusingly during a recent trip to Capri where we stayed at an equally fantastic property, they had a piano which they invited their guests to play but sadly it was horribly out of tune. We love hearing a pianist in a restaurant or a bar and this baby grand piano would be well placed in one of them rather than a corridor. I must make special mention of the turbot sandwich at the beach club restaurant. What turned up was the most off-the-scale, delicious turbot burger with the tastiest of fries. I have never had a burger quite like it. I sampled a new cocktail on the wine list called a ‘pink sand spritz’ which was equally historic. The wine lists on offer around the resort have some nice choices. I must give the highest praise possible for the resort’s Wi-Fi service. This is the very best I have ever encountered, it is extremely fast and I have yet to find a dead spot anywhere. There are obviously the correct mobile charging sockets in the bedrooms. The entire resort offers great value not only for accommodation but in all of the restaurants and bars because you don’t just get what it says on the tin, all expectations are exceeded. Even the resort shop in the main hotel building is terrific and I could not resist buying a considerable number of their ultra high quality polo shirts in stunning colours . Along with Dorchester group and Belmond, Rosewood do it better than almost anyone. This level of standard does not happen without a brilliant hotel director, an incredible team and a wonderful food and beverage operation. For those that do not want to use an electric buggy they run a constant shuttle from Reception to the beach and will also can pick you up in golf carts. The standard of driving on the estate is impressive, everyone drives at 20 miles an hour or below. I have yet to see anyone mowing the lawns however they are all perfectly manicured. It really is a pleasure to behold as you drive around the resort …with chickens and cockerels wondering around. I can’t imagine any discerning visitor to rosewood Bermuda being anything less than delighted and my wife and I can’t recommend it enough.

Dear BarryAscot, Thank you for taking the time to share this astonishing review of our property. We would also like to thank you for recognizing our Marco, Ryan, Chef Gerry, Chef Gary, Yolanda and all our associates. We are delighted to see that we added considerable pleasure to your visit to Bermuda. We are thrilled to know your stay was thoroughly enjoyed and the time spent at our property made many lasting memories. We are glad those few days of rain did not dampen your spirit as you dined in our restaurants, sunned by our pools, relaxed in the spa, and drove around in the golf carts. Whilst we do have a sign on the piano, we are delighted when a guest uses it to play a tune all an enjoy. Our Executive Chef and his team are amazing, with their Island Brasserie breakfast often commented that it is a good way to start the day. Along with dining at our other restaurants which offer the same quality of service. We do agree that the burgers and fish sandwich are excellent and have eaten a few too many. The boutique offerings will be expanding, as well as the Gold Club, in the future. We look forward to hosting you again when you visit our shores and look forward to adding to your experiences. We truly appreciate you choosing to stay at Rosewood and we look forward to having you back. Warm Regards, Sascha Hemmann

I called the hotel to book a brunch reservation for my family for Father’s Day. The woman at concierge seemed untrained and took very long to respond to any of the questions I had when making my booking. More than once I had to ask if she was still on the phone because the pauses she took were so long when she was searching for the answers to my questions, and this was in addition to putting me on hold more than once. I had to repeat my question to her since it wasn’t acknowledged, and when prompted she would say that she’s still looking for the answer. The kicker was, when she finally came back with the answers and booked the reservation, she booked the wrong restaurant which resulted in a very unpleasant dining experience for my family when they came in. I’m leaving this review because this isn’t the first time I’ve had poor customer service at the hotel. When trying to book at one of the hotel’s restaurants a few months ago I encountered the same level of service — unable to answer questions and poor customer service etiquette in general. Given the calibre of this hotel you’d expect much better trained staff and high levels of customer service, but each time I interact with concierge it’s as though the people I’m speaking to have never worked a day in customer service before.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at Rosewood’s Island Brasserie so much so that we were looking to book further spa treatments and requested from front desk what they would also suggest. Front desk concierge suggested the beach club for cocktails. So we headed down to the beach club via the shuttle and waited several minutes before being addressed by the maitre’ d, Dan. He did not greet us but rather stated quite loudly that the beachclub was fully booked. I told him we were not interested in dinner but rather in having some cocktails. He dismissed my request and invaded my personal space by flailing his arms around- causing me to step back. At this point, everyone present is looking at this chaos, so we left. We returned back to hotel and asked to speak to Marlon. He was not available. Contact details were provided so that Marlon could call us back. At the time of this post, we still have not heard from him. (Another display of their lack of customer service IMO). Despite the horrible service received at the beach club, there were a few gems at the hotel who were very helpful. The shuttle drivers, concierge staff and doorman were all very friendly. However, I would NEVER recommend this venue to anyone. The service was unprofessional, dismissive and aggressive. @rosewoodbermuda
