We spent 3 nights in this wonderful hotel. Above all, David and his team of staff do a fantastic job of making you feel welcome and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The decor of the hotel is a mix of old and new with settees and open fires for coziness. Also plenty of seating outside for when the weather is good. We really loved Colonsay and will return. Although a small island there is plenty to see and do - for bird watchers the Sea Bird cliffs are a must at this time of year and plenty of walking and cycling. Can’t wait to go back.

Had 2 days in Colonsay hotel. Great location and good food. The ferry journey is a delight. Rooms are not large but are very clean and comfortable. Lovely atmosphere and ambience. Comfortable bar and great views from dining room. The hotel is a traditional inn in a super location. The staff were excellent. Helpful and really friendly and relaxed. The island is a gem and small enough to be really accessible on foot. Beaches are stunning.

Have had a very relaxing week staying at the Colonsay Hotel. Great service, great food and very comfortable. Colonsay is a very picturesque place with some of the best beaches in Scotland. This holiday has been just as good as any trip abroad. The ultimate staycation?

I stayed at the Colonsay hotel for 5 nights in early June, with my daughter and granddaughters. We have stayed many times before. David and his team were excellent. We will be back later in the year to stay on this beautiful island once again.

My husband and I stayed here early May 2021 while there were still some Covid restrictions in place. The hotel and staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. At the time we stayed, restrictions meant you had to sit outside to drink alcohol and the weather was typical for our lovely Scottish Islands, very wet and very windy. The hotel was very well equipped and had a gazebo with heaters and the staff were happy to supply blankets to keep you warm while you ate and had a drink outside. The hotel also has various different relaxing lounges inside where you could sit and keep warm by a log fire. I cannot honestly recommend this hotel enough.
