An 8 room hotel with a very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Our room was on an upper floor without a lift, but the girl in charge helped us carry the luggage. Room charming and comfortable if you don't need TV or phone. WIFI works great. Parking needs extra care with larger cars. Breakfast is not expensive though very... More

On arrival , helped to park the car in garage , then all our suitcases taken up the stairs . Given an upgrade to a beautiful room with gorgeous terrace . Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts who keen to share their knowledge of their beautiful town . We followed their advice and had a wonderful stay in... More

Needed a place to stay at short notice. Had one of the rooms in the attic. Lovely bed, lovely room, lovely bathroom. Centrally placed for El Escorial. Very friendly staff. Didn't eat here as I left the hotel before breakfast was laid out. Very much enjoyed staying here and will be returning.

We spent one night in the hotel. Its location is great: just a few blocks from El Escorial and close to restaurants, etc. Be careful if you are driving…. those medieval streets are narrow, tangled and hard to navigate! The hotel does have parking… so that made things easier. The place is nice: rooms are clean, and the hotel is... More

If you are visiting El Escorial the the Posada Don Jamie is very well situated. The hotel is quite small but the bedrooms are clean and well furnished, breakfast was good and the service was excellent. The area has very few parking spaces so it would be wise to use the hotel's garage but that has only 5 or 6... More

El Escorial has a limited, yet varied, offer of hotel and we've stayed in several. The appeal of this hotel is that it is not a generic business hotel; it is a stately home that has been beautifully refurbished. We stayed in room 7 on the top floor with a beautiful sloping ceiling. The room is spacious, beautifully decorated, and... More

Well managed hotel that was a perfect base for our family's visit to (the Royal Site of San Lorenzo de) El Escorial and the highly recommended Valle de los Caídos. The proprietor graciously welcomed us despite a late arrival and made sure we had all the information we needed to maximize our visit to the sites. The optional breakfast prepared... More

A lovely hotel, a lovely room and a lovely host. Walking distance to El Escorial. We stayed in the top floor in one of the suites. The room is like staying in a ski chalet, with the angled ceiling and wood covered walls and ceiling. The bed is king-sized and very comfy. Bathroom is spacious and we took advantage of... More

We had a lovely room with a jacuzzi and a spa shower, with two windows and a closed ‘balcony’ (mirador) which looks like a castle from outside. The room was extremely clean with very fine linen, almost reminiscent of a royal bedroom. It’s a nice theme considering that just down the road there is a royal palace and the burial... More
