Set in a wonderful authentic house dating back from the 14th century you can enjoy a travel back in time in a bedroom decorated with antiques but having all the modern amenities: air conditioning, flat screen tv, massage shower..Each bedroom is unique, opening on one of the four patios. You are welcomed by Mercedes as if you were a member...

Was in Almagro for a meeting and this hotel was everything one could want - lovely large room, good wi-fi, convenient central location, quiet - and much more. Multiple courtyards, and a refreshing (=unheated!) swimming pool, amazing multi-function shower, rocking chairs and settee in room, with antiques and curios all over, making a memorable stay. Extremely friendly staff (with very...

We’d wanted a hotel in Ciduad Real but came across Tia Pilar during the search. We booked it because ... because it looked quirky, because it wasn’t a chain hotel, because it seemed to be the sort of place we would enjoy, a little more than just a place to crash for a night, a bit of a treat, something...

We stayed on an extremely hot day in June and were shown to our very cool room in this historic house. We were given a tour of the house by thd owner which has room around a series of outside patios. The furnishings and decor reflects the character and age of the house. Our room was quite dark as it's...

In the centre of Almagro a few steps from the town centre , this Casa Rural is a first sight a fantastic time warp. Mercedes the owner greets you with great gusto and gives you a guided tour of the whole hotel , it feels as if you are in a museum, in fact it has one in a cellar....

Casa Rural Tia Pilar was a great find ! We like a little quiet place with lots of characters, original features, good facilities and enthusiastic owners and they exceeded everything we were expecting. The owners are very lovely and genuinely love what they do. There are lots of nice areas in the patios, so you don´t feel like it is...

We really loved this place. It's easy to find, with free on-street parking very nearby. The welcome was very friendly. Little English is spoken, but we managed very well with my limited Spanish and their limited English. The house in general, and our room in particular, are beautifully furnished with interesting and well chosen antiques. Our bed was comfortable, and...

We wanted a stopover on our drive from Madrid to Granada, and were are very happy we chose this one. The house is large and rambling, with patios and courtyards, filled with antiques and character. The thick high walls kept the summer heat at bay, and the pool was surprisingly cold and a nice place to hide from the heat...

In among the small whitewashed streets south of the centre is the Casa Rural Tia Pilar, a beautifully restored old townhouse with great charm. The owner used to have two adjacent houses, and has combined them to make a great rambling delight of a hotel. The rooms are more than comfortable, furnished with antiques, and the courtyards that surround them...

I am so glad we discovered this hotel, which was absolutely delightful. It is tucked away in a small street not far from the main square in the centre of town.
