Absolutely loved our stay in this parador, bit of a treat after sitting on motorbike all day!! Was a boiling hot day so we took advantage of the pool, which was spotless & the pool area was just lovely. The rooms were cool & spacious & very clean. The food is pricey so we didn't eat here but would thoroughly... More

Stayed the night at this Parador and very happy with it. Went to Costa Del Sol in half term week so lot cheaper to fly the Madrid and drive down (Ryanair wanted £1200 from Birmingham to Malaga but £150 to Madrid!!). Stayed at this Parador which is an old building on a range of floors. All staff were very helpful... More

Although the Parador which is located on the outskirts of the city is still within walking distance of downtown. It is a combination of an old monastery and some new parts which is quite successful. At breakfast there was only one person on duty for more than 40 guests so it was not anything available. Too bad that the wifi does... More

Compared to other paradors I've stayed in this one lacks character and service quality. Half of the rooms are in a modern wing which is very ordinary. In fact the interior decoration is ghastly and the outlook from the small windows less than inspiring The food is very ordinary and the breakfast room is hideous. The service is not very... More

This is a beautiful property with very spacious rooms and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We had dinner at the restaurant which serves regional dishes and food and service were excellent. Huge portions. I have stayed at other Paradores before and always had problems with the wifi signal, not at this Parador. The signal was strong and at... More

The rooms are large and well equipped. The hotel is located at a 5" walk to the "plaza major" of the beautiful town Trujillo. It's a excellent place from where you can visit the other sites and the national parks of Extremadura. Some remarks about the hotel : - I have the impression that the hotel is slightly understaffed (specially... More

The ancient medieval town of Trujillo is a delight to visit and this hotel was strictly in character. Large accommodation in an historic old former Nunnery(?) with huge arched corridors and large bedrooms. The entrance to the room was tiny with a grill and slot where food had been passed through in the past. Close to the town centre/square which... More

This was our first experience with Spain's Parador system, and we highly recommend staying here. Author James Michener wrote good things about the Paradors in his book Iberia, which is why we decided to go this route. He also wrote good things about Extremadura, this region of Spain which is not touristy and which allows one to see a different... More

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room (320) was large and comfortable, with a separate seating area and a small balcony from which there are expansive views. We were in the old part of the building, which is very characterful and spacious. The room was very quiet (perhaps due to the thick walls). Breakfasts were excellent but dinners were somewhat... Had read a few negative reviews about both Trujillo and its Parador. But we loved both. The city is small, barely a town really, but is saturated in historic interest. We were there in April, out of season, and felt like we had the place largely to ourselves. The Parador was lovely, good rooms, quiet, plenty of free parking around,... More
