Stayed here for 3 days in September. From the moment we arrive till the last moment we were blown away by the quality of the hotel. Excellent food, service and amenities. The hotel is on the beach and you have direct access. It’s the perfect location for both couples and families with lots of space for both to enjoy. Can’t wait to be back in June 2021. Highly recommend this hotel
The Four Seasons has done a lovely job with their renovation of the Astir Palace; the grounds, rooms, food and service were all fabulous. We were fortunate to be there at a quieter time but when the October sun was still strong enough to allow you to enjoy your days by the sea and your evening on the terrace with a light sweater. I have to be honest I am not sure I would want to be there in high season when the hotel is full. It is bigger than most Four Seasons, with some 300 rooms and even in October the pool and kid’s club in the Nafiska building were too packed for us. We stayed at the other end of the resort that was so quiet it felt that we had it largely to ourselves. In terms of rooms, the Bungalows with private terraces (some with a pool) are definitely the way to go. I would aim for a bungalow that is higher up and away from the walking paths as you get more privacy. The food was particularly good and access to the Nobu and Beef Bar restaurants on the property was a treat; we ate at each twice it was so good. Breakfast was included and was extensive and delicious. We preferred the smaller breakfast terrace in the Arion building, which was more discrete and quieter. A perfect place to escape in shoulder season when you can have more of the place to yourself.…
My friends and I had an amazing time during our stay in this hotel. Lovely renovated rooms, very good food and great outdoor pool. The tennis is amazing with lovely sea view. The service was very good and the breakfast was yummi-eggs benedict to die for. Beefbar is also very good.
Stayed here for a birthday long weekend in a one bed suite in the Nafsika building. It was off season, so actually the bungalows (which is where we originally wanted to stay) and the other buildings were closed. But even so, we loved it here. It's an expensive hotel, but worth it. Beautiful views of the sea, top-notch service and food, very, very comfortable rooms, and a feeling of calm and peace (although that may have been because it was Winter...). We had a room service dinner one evening - combined with a movie, this was a lovely was to spend the night. The bathroom has an incredible soaking tub. great toiletries from Le Labo. Other F&B - breakfast buffet was fine, and we had a couple of drinks on the terrace in the evening. All in all, a very good stay for a long weekend, even in off-season.…
While the setting of the hotel is lovely, the accommodation is disappointing and overpriced. The main building is rather ugly, and the characterless "bungalows" offer little privacy - the tiny outside areas (and minuscule private pools) are overlooked by other bungalows, including footpaths (and in some cases the road within the compound) in front. The hotel is more a see-and-be-seen spot rather than a beach/spa resort. The restaurants (Nobu, Beefbar) are often fully booked by locals, and as they are run independently of the hotel, guests do not get priority. This poses a problem of a decent restaurant where one could eat in the evenings. On the positive side, the hotel is well decorated throughout (especially the lobby) and has the service one expects from the Four Seasons group.…
