Property's Favorite Review
I was planned to stay at the hotel in Sept 2020 for my sons wedding but this was postponed to Aug 2021 due to the pandemic. Throughout this time, I was able to maitian contact with the hotel liaising with Esther who was fantastic. We had a family room and a double and both rooms were huge. The family was one of the biggest I've stayed in with separate doors between 2 large rooms. The rooms were exceptionally clean, looked newly renovated and had everything we needed. The hotel is not the biggest but that's what made it better as I had other family members book rooms here too and it felt so much more personable. The pool is not huge but very adequate. The restaurant and bar are very nice and staff are really really helpful. I have found every person I have met in Greece to be super friendly and the staff here went the extra mile. The breakfast was included and was very nice and there is a very nice public beach a short walk from the hotel. The city centre and the acropolis are about 30 mins from the hotel and a taxi will cost between 20 and 25 euros. Vouliagmeni is a great area of Athens to visit, lovely beaches, really nice lake a short distance away and away from the busy centre. This hotel is perfect for families and you will. Not be disappointed by the staff and service.

This place is not up front about a lot of things related to cost, and I don’t appreciate the lack of transparency. I’m not cheap, I just prefer honesty. 1. Paid the same rate for 2 WIDLY different sized rooms (1 suite and 1 with a basic double bed) 2. Paid for breakfast we didn’t get because they conveniently forgot to pack breakfast boxes since we had an airport transfer before the standard serving time. Asked for a refund on that and was told “it’s part of the room rate and is a separate line item for ‘logistical reasons’ — they offered a few slices of cheese and meat on a plate as our car arrived so that was of little consequence. Seemingly unapologetic about this. 3. Was told the airport transfer was 38€ but ended up paying 50€ because apparently there are “nighttime” and “daytime” rates—what those cutoffs are, who knows, so be careful on that 4. The ebikes are NOT free so again, be careful with whatever their messaging says before you get there 5. Overall attitude was “meh.” Know before you go, ask lots of questions. Get anything related to room type and cost in writing so you actually get what you think you’re paying for. Would not recommend.

My daughter got married in Greece and we had around 50 friends and family staying over a week. The hotel staff were absolutly famntastic. They gave us a room for our hairdresser and barber, they provided tables for finger food during the bride and groom dressing and blessing prior to church. The hotel went well beyond the norm - absolultey brilliant experience. Theres also a nice vibe around the place probably down to the hotel not being too big or too small. Without a doubt experiences like this dont just happen, they are the product of well managed operations - I met the general manager and it made sence that her management style and personality resonates through her staff. Well done Ester and well done all at the Athenian Riviera, you really helped make the wedding an unforgetable experience. Dont think you need 50 friends to experience this level of service.............check the other glowing reviews!! Regarding location, its a short walk to some great restaurants covering all tastes and Great value. Theres a lovely beach about 10 mins walk that costs 10euro a bed thats well managed and quite secure with bar and food services. A nice all round place to stay. With regards to mainland Greece, this area is hard to beat

This hotel is a great find. Stylish rooms, small pool and garden area, lovely buffet breakfast. Fantastic staff who are so friendly and helpful. The food is a simple menu but very good and generous portions. Overall this hotel is very good value . Short walk to the beach and the lake.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in June. It is conveniently situated not far from the main highway (there is noise from the highway but only from poorly-maintained motorcycles). To get a sea view we suspect you must be on an upper floor. We were on the third floor overlooking the street and the small pool. It is, however, otherwise quiet and largely restful. Even when there was a function utilizing the pool and terraces we did not suffer from much in-house noise. We were seeking to do nothing after a lengthy tour of Greece and the hotel provided comfort and facilities that met our needs, albeit not necessarily economically. We did not use the Spa. Public areas and the pool are well maintained and service throughout the hotel is attentive and professional. Breakfast is extensive but the buffet arrangement means there is a scrum when self-serving with too many people in too small a space. The restaurant was pleasant but not a destination restaurant as we had concluded from the website. There are however a number of reasonable restaurants within a ten minute walk. There is also a supermarket, a news stand selling UK papers and several private beaches. Our room was one of the smaller but nonetheless expensive for that (although only when measured against central Athens hotels and not other comparable hotels in Vouliagmeni - Vouliagmeni is expensive!). The room was comfortable, but could have done with a little more care and attention and housekeeping needed to be improved. We were disappointed to keep finding hair from other guests on the floor. Bathroom had a walk-in shower, toiletries were disappointing for a hotel of this calibre. There was some noise from the corridor but no inter-room noise. We imagine that disabled guests would manage the hotel quite well. We would certainly recommend the hotel provided care is taken to understand what is available for the cost.

We were treated so well by the staff here and given a great room with a view of the water. The entire staff is very friendly and eager to please, and they care about Covid safety. The breakfast has a lot of nice options and there’s plenty of space to hang out in the lobby - by the pool or bar. The hotel is walking distance to top beaches. The rooms have a modern touch and there is an easily accessible elevator or stairs which was much appreciated.

Another stay here, since every time I enjoy everything they have to offer. A small break from work and busy city center of Athens at this nice & cozy hotel at the heart of Vouliagmeni. Next to the sea and nature. It's always a plus that some renovations took place!
