Detailed Reviews
The Hotel itself was very nice, excellent kind Staff, very nice room ,lovely requested king size bed, nice big bathroom ,lovely shower and very clean throughout. I was surprised to find that the beach was not as stated " a few steps away" but a good 5/6 min walk away, also it costs €15 to go onto the beach and get an umbrella and sunbed. No view of the sea itself from where I could see maybe from the 4th floor. The breakfast was outstandingly good lots of choice loads of fruit ,juices, cooked and cold choices. My problem and consequently low rating was the Pool area not as stated and hoped for an "oasis of tranquility " but right next door to a working building site complete with jack hammers ,concrete mixers, dust and general shouting builder to builder. This was from 08.00 till 15.00 every week day, on one day even past the legal time. Admittedly the hotel did try to stop this unsuccessfully. Whilst I do understand this is completely out of the Hotels control I would suggest that customers be advised of this AND can then choose to find elsewhere to have a peaceful holiday. Upon discussion with the Management some of our party were compensated financially whilst others were offered vouchers to return to the same hotel . However just to say it appeared that the foundations are only just being laid so who knows when this building work will end. I think that the building work should be declared on the description and a good look at the Tariff charged to reflect the inconvenience this is not a cheap hotel to holiday in. I have complained to management and an apology was offered along with a voucher for 3 free nights however I shall not be returning. The area is very central but I advise a few miles up the coast either side much nicer restaurants and beautiful beaches. I hope this review is helpful. Unfortunately the photos that I took were all video and cannot download to this site.

Property's Favorite Review
We were there before a wedding and despite all our noise to get ready, meet at the lobby, circulate with kids, make it to the cars and return late in the evening; everybody was so nice and accommodating to us. I need to mention the beautiful blonde lady on the bar, who saw me struggling to find the door in and it was so hot outside .. She ran to open the door to me, tried to make me feel better and offered me cold water and a refreshing cranberry and pineapple juice. On the evening when we returned with an old granny, a baby and a stroller; though she was already off-duty and opening her car's door to leave; she ran to help us and took the stroller up the little staircase in the entrance. Also, the car service the hotel ordered for us was so very professional, they even brought an extra car because we were a big group, with a baby. These gests are very precious unto my heart and make me so happy and definitely recommending the place. Thank you.

We were treated so well by the staff here and given a great room with a view of the water. The entire staff is very friendly and eager to please, and they care about Covid safety. The breakfast has a lot of nice options and there’s plenty of space to hang out in the lobby - by the pool or bar. The hotel is walking distance to top beaches. The rooms have a modern touch and there is an easily accessible elevator or stairs which was much appreciated.

This place is not up front about a lot of things related to cost, and I don’t appreciate the lack of transparency. I’m not cheap, I just prefer honesty.
1. Paid the same rate for 2 WIDLY different sized rooms (1 suite and 1 with a basic double bed)
2. Paid for breakfast we didn’t get because they conveniently forgot to pack breakfast boxes since we had an airport transfer before the standard serving time. Asked for a refund on that and was told “it’s part of the room rate and is a separate line item for ‘logistical reasons’ — they offered a few slices of cheese and meat on a plate as our car arrived so that was of little consequence. Seemingly unapologetic about this.
3. Was told the airport transfer was 38€ but ended up paying 50€ because apparently there are “nighttime” and “daytime” rates—what those cutoffs are, who knows, so be careful on that
4. The ebikes are NOT free so again, be careful with whatever their messaging says before you get there
5. Overall attitude was “meh.”
Know before you go, ask lots of questions. Get anything related to room type and cost in writing so you actually get what you think you’re paying for. Would not recommend.

We are currently staying at the hotel and it is a wonderful hotel, staff very attentive happy, the hotel is spotless also. Our daily room clean is amazing. My only complaint about this hotel is the breakfast. I have stayed in some great hotels over the years and this breakfast sadly is quite low on the order. We are in Greece in the middle of September and the best they can do for fruit is a couple of apples a banana or a pear, all whole no platter. Well I went to a market yesterday and bought watermelon, melon, figs and grapes. My wife and I enjoyed this seasonal fruit this morning. Paying £230 a night for some fruit I get in the premie inn! They should have a nice fruit platter. The toaster! They have something that looks like a rotating toaster in hotels. Problem is this one doesn’t rotate. Prodding tongs and fingers into electric it’s off unless you put it on, takes 10 minutes to make toast. Just replace it with 2 toasters, safer and quicker. Ban Marie’s to keep the eggs, bacon etc hot trouble is they are not on!, so cold eggs and soft mushy omelette all cold. This need amending, watermelons melons all grown in this country we want a nice fruit platter

My daughter got married in Greece and we had around 50 friends and family staying over a week. The hotel staff were absolutly famntastic. They gave us a room for our hairdresser and barber, they provided tables for finger food during the bride and groom dressing and blessing prior to church. The hotel went well beyond the norm - absolultey brilliant experience. Theres also a nice vibe around the place probably down to the hotel not being too big or too small.
Without a doubt experiences like this dont just happen, they are the product of well managed operations - I met the general manager and it made sence that her management style and personality resonates through her staff. Well done Ester and well done all at the Athenian Riviera, you really helped make the wedding an unforgetable experience.
Dont think you need 50 friends to experience this level of service.............check the other glowing reviews!!
Regarding location, its a short walk to some great restaurants covering all tastes and Great value. Theres a lovely beach about 10 mins walk that costs 10euro a bed thats well managed and quite secure with bar and food services. A nice all round place to stay. With regards to mainland Greece, this area is hard to beat

Excellent hotel! Without exception, the staff were all friendly, helpful, efficient and obliging.
My wife and I had a very spacious room on the 3rd floor. Very comfortable king size double bed, a great en-suite with a proper shower (our preference over a bath/shower) and a large double aspect balcony.
In the restaurant/bar area you had the choice of eating inside or outside. The daily breakfast was extensive and catered for all tastes - and the coffee was excellent. The menu for light lunchtime snacks to a full meal was also very good. We actually ate there on occasions at lunchtime, early and late evening and thoroughly enjoyed them all.
The hotel has facilities for storing luggage on check in/out days and the reception staff could whistle-up a taxi to go anywhere in no time at all.
The one thing I would have found helpful would be a "tear off" map of the area showing restaurants, beaches etc. All available on your phone you say? Yes, sure, but for an old fashioned person like me with little tech ability, I prefer a map!
Would I stay here again? Yes, definitely.

This hotel is spotlessly clean the bedroom. The bathroom staff are friendly and polite. Location restaurants within 10 minute walk. However, the only beach available is chargeable at €10 per person including beds and umbrella. The main issue with the hotel is the breakfast is appalling. Hot buffet is pre cooked and standing there waiting, the cereal like cardboard and actually an edible. Such a shame.

I had a bad experience at this hotel, for a number of reasons. My booking was for 2 nights but after my experience the first night I could not stay there for a second night. I therefore requested a refund on the second night but the hotel refused to give one. I left anyway as I could not stay there, and have lost €250. (€250/night in October is in any case not a price this hotel can justify.)
The issues I had were:
1. There is ongoing, very noisy building work across the road, which is extremely loud and was not stated anywhere in the hotel info.
2. The walls were so thin that I could hear the guests in the room next door but one, and down the corridor. This is not the quality of a four star hotel.
3. There were 2 powercuts during my 1 day's stay: a power cut on the afternoon that I arrived, and one early the following morning, representing ca 5 hours in total (of my 20 hour reservation) without power. That meant the lift didn't work, so I had to stumble 2 floors downstairs to breakfast with a fractured foot in the semi-darkness. There was no light in the room, no AC, no power supply and a limited breakfast.
4. As there was no coffee at breakfast they served it from water heated by gas instead - it was completely undrinkable. This is a 4* hotel - how is it possible that the staff cannot make coffee!
At breakfast we were sitting outside, bombarded by the sound of the building work from the building across the road while there was no power in the hotel - but the builders across the road apparently had no such power issue.
5. The hotel say that the powercut was external, affecting the whole area and out of their control, and that they would therefore not refund me my second night on that basis. If it was out of their control then a) how were the builders across the road ok and b) how could the hotel guarantee that it would not happen for a third day running? Trying to move around in the dark with a fractured foot is extremely dangerous. Staying in a room without AC when it is still very hot, is very unpleasant. Not being able to charge devices when I need to work is unacceptable.
I did not request any refund on the night that I actually stayed at the hotel, despite the huge inconvenience. I simply requested to check out at the normal time, not to stay the second night I had booked, as I did not want to risk a repeat of the above, and for a refund of that second night. The hotel have refused to give it.

This is a small but nice hotel. The bedrooms are nice and comfortable and the bathrooms are well equipped.
Location wise, its a good 30 mins drive from Athens and the airport and there isn't a lot around the local area, so you need to work out why you are staying here - for me, it was an event at the lovely but very expensive Four Seasons, a 15 minute walk away.
The staff were all friendly and the breakfast was ok, not wonderful but ok. There isn't a lot of choice due to it being a small hotel.
The swimming pool is tiny - its a 2 strokes and you are at the other end pool. The is no other forms of entertainment.
The elephant in the room with this hotel currently is the building work that is taking place next door. It seems to have been going on for a while and doesn't look like it will be finished until possibly into 2025. The noise wont disturb you at night and I couldn't hear it from my room, but you can hear it at breakfast.
Overall its a decent hotel. Would have been nice to have 1 TV channel in English, but the hotel is well decorated.
