Sometimes when diving you open a shell and hope to find a Pearl but get only an oyster, at Vouliagmeni suites we found a “little cracker”.Located about 30 minutes from the centre of Athens we were looking for an alternative to a city centre hotel and came across this one. The locals call this area the Riveria with its tree lined roads and clear blue water ,what more would you want?, The hotel is not the Ritz however it offers excellent value for money, friendly and yes even helpful staff, large spacious bedrooms with decent A/C and the real Pearl was the magnificent breakfast, one of the nicest we have come across in many a year considering the size of the hotel. So please book this one when you want a break from the city.

We came to Vouliagmeni as part of a 20th anniversary trip to Greece. Before we even arrived, the hotel staff was kind, welcoming and helpful in arranging things to make the trip go smoothly. And they continued to be friendly, helpful and charming until the moment we left ... they even recommended places to eat in Plaka/Athens as we were leaving the hotel, based on what they knew of us ... which were also perfect and made our time in Athens all the more special (yes, Maria, we found Yiasemi!) Anastasia, Panos, Maria and Margarita in reception, you really and truly understand the meaning of "receive" - we could not possibly have been received any better! The room was nice and clean, very big, with a wonderful balcony and surely the best view in all of Vouliagmeni. One of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in. It was just 5 mins to the lake, which was also fantastic - gorgeous and fun! 2 mins to the best cafes and restaurants as well. Breakfasts were wonderful, so much to choose from, including fresh juices, yummy pastries and delicious cappucinos. Giorgios (and colleagues) in the bar/breakfast was a charming host, excellent service with a warm and friendly flare!

We’ve just returned for a 5 night stay and loved it. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room - sea view - well worth the extra money and the location perfect. The pool area was lovely and quiet and the views amazing - we were often the only people at the pool. The location was fantastic, literally a few minutes walks from the Lake and the beach - which are definitely worth a visit. There are also numerous bars and restaurants a few minutes walk away and easy access to public transport. Would definitely recommend and will definitely stay again if we ever travel back to the Athens Riviera.

We visited for vacation. Location is great. The check-in was fine. The junior suite can use some touch-up. The walls are paper thin and the slightest noise can be a problem. Do not use the elevator if you have the mildest form of claustrophobia. The pool is rudimentary and the operation hours are only 10 to 6. The Margaritas were very sub-par. The biggest problem is the parking. On Expedia, they claim there is parking on-site where in reality it’s street parking and the staff may be able to reserve a few street spots if they are lucky. The staff otherwise is courteous. Panagiotis, the bellman, and Mihalis the overnight receptionist were great.

We traveled as a family of 4 and arrived late in the evening in the pouring rain. We had a lot of luggage and my husband and I took it in piece by piece until we were soaking with our young children watching while the man at the counter just watched us. He didn't even offer us the trolley which we saw later was sitting behind him the entire time. We had the family sea front room and to say the photos were misleading is an understatement. The curtains and furniture were all badly stained and it was really a rough looking room. The toilet dripped all night and when we asked them to look at it the next morning it was actually worse for the second night. It was clearly audible even with the bathroom door tightly shut. Avoid this place it needs a major facelift and some customer service. Also the sea view is across a really busy and noisy road.

Dear LondonExPat1, We would like to thank you for your preference in Vouliagmeni Suites, part of Grecotel Hotels & Resorts. All your comments have been noted. On behalf of Vouliagmeni Suites team, kindly accept our sincere apologies for not giving you the high standard of hospitality which is the general norm of Vouliagmeni Suites. At this point I would like to mention that a part of your review could be considered a bit excessive, due to the reason that we feel very proud for the result of our efforts, having succesfully accommodate individuall guests, VIP groups, conferences and a big variety of social events. We would like to assure you of our commitment in resolving the issues you brought to our attention. Apart from the above unfortunate event it will be our pleasure to host you again, at your next visit in Athens, with the same good mood and warm smile that distinguishes Vouliagmeni Suites accommodation. Best Regards, Antonis Rodis Resident Manager

We staid in the Hotel twice. The second time very intently. Lication closest possible to the Vouliagmeni lake and 10 minutes walk to the sea shore. Greeks are very open hearted people to my mind. Together with the comfort of the Hotel you are ready to return back again.
