Very friendly and helpful staff, spotless room with balcony, very busy highway outside hotel so not quiet for sitting out, but double glazing means good nights sleep. Breakfast was very nice, Greek yoghurt and honey is gorgeous! Lovely rooftop pool and bar with drinks and nice food. Tram into Athens is 2.50 euros takes about 35-40 mins, Uber for around 15-2 euros No loungers on beach just an umbrella so take something to sit on. Would definitely stay here again
Nice room with great view on the sea. Very clean and functional. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though I had booked a special offer, it was possible to leave earlier for personal reasons without extra charge.
I booked this hotel with a pay on arrival rate. However, the hotel emailed immediately saying that they will be charging me in advance. This is poor business practice and dishonest. I’m writing this to make people aware and hopefully the hotel will stop this
This is no way a 4 star hotel. The area looks very run down, very noisy and polluted. The hotel room had NO air con, we had to leave the balcony door open everyday but by doing this we got bit 7 days clean by mosquitoes which made it difficult to sleep and relax due to waking up with bites and the noise of cars all day and night. I’ve stayed in 2 star hotels and this was the worst. The drain in the bathroom was flooding every time we used the shower or bath so it was very difficult to wash, and the smell of the drain was disgusting. The rooms were very depressing the colour of the rooms were dark and I spent most of my time walking outside on the streets because I dreaded going back to the hotel room. The greek people that are born and bread in Glyfada/Athens are very rude, disrespectful towards tourists and racist. Even in Athens international airport they were very racist to us as we are English. The only good points about Glyfada is that they have a good range of high street shops that are local, a nice Orthodox Church, and ok beaches. The beaches near by were polluted with plastics and glass! And they have a cheek to have a turtle Rescue centre near by that make you give a donation and “protect the sea turtles” when their beaches are not even cleaned!…
The staff were fabulous . The lady on front desk was a font of knowledge. Chris and nick were helpful and welcoming. The half board let it down . Breakfast was a buffet style which was nice but the dinner was the same set menu every night with the basic 5 choices (not including salad) . The menu where people were paying for food nightly was different and had more variety. For this reason we ate very little in hotel in evening as for children all was on offer was a Burger and fries (which you can get anywhere) The carpets on 4th and 3rd floor were awful yet 2nd and 1st were nice. Bathroom cups were dirty with someone else's toothpaste . Saying this location is fab for beach , 7 minuite walk to town . Worth walking up further out of Glyfada for more picturesque beaches . Tram to Athens €2.50 return and you can get on and off as much as you like in 90 mins. All in all area and staff were nice but dinner and pleasing to the eye inside above 2nd floor it was not. Nice trip to Marathon. Lovely beach and €15 buffet . Quiet beach and town but history of Marathon and museum. Can't see how this made a 4 🌟…
My best mate and I did 8 nights here. Really CANT complain. The roof top garden with pool has incredible views! (but windy sometimes). Rooms a clean and cleaned daily. 5 min walk to the beach and tram which takes you into Glyfada. About 25-30 min drive to the Acropolis and any pick up tour.. museum etc, which is less than €20 for an Uber. Maria, Chris and Nick were so lovely, along side our initial female receptionist (didn’t take her name). She was SO helpful, showed us a local map, helped us book our retiring PCR test Food was great.. Would go back in a heartbeat!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I just spent a week at the hotel an my friend and I really enjoyed our stay. The whole staff was very friendly and at all times helpful. They were always able to answer all our questions and for example recommended and helped us plan our trips to Athens - just ask for the ‚hop on, hop off‘ bus tour at the reception. ( It‘ll take you about thirty minutes to get to Athens by bus). But apart from its excellent location right at the beach and close to the center of Glyfada, the hotel itself also has got a lot to offer. The breakfast buffet is good and if you don‘t want to leave the hotel for swimming or eating you can just go to the roof garden where you will find a pool and the possibility of ordering food at the bar. From this roof garden you can enjoy the view on the cities and mountains on the one side and on the seaside on the other side - which is very beautiful at sunset. The atmosphere up there is very nice and in the evening the roof garden turns into an amazing bar!…
I stayed at the Emmantina Hotel for one week with a friend of mine. The hotel is very close to the beach (5minute walk) and not far from Athens and the airport, so everything can be reached easily. As we arrived we were welcomed very friendly by the hotel staff and any request we had during our stay was solved immediately. Everything was clean and at the breakfast buffet everyone should be able to find something they like. The highlight of the hotel is definitely the roof garden with the pool on top of the roof. We had the pleasure to meet the barkeeper Nick, who was fortunately working at the bar during our stay. He welcomed us warmly and one could immediately recognize that he is loving his job and cares about his guests. All in all we had a really great time at the Emmantina hotel - definitely highly recommendable!…
Location excellent , very nice & friendly staff , room impecable clean , just the trafic on Poseidon street is crazy , to cross it is an adventure :) but this is not an issue .The beach is steps from the location .We had an excellent stay and we hope we ll be back next year or maybe even in september . Thank you Emmantina Hotel.
We found the published hotel description to be very misleading. We had 4 rooms for 2 families none of which had been renovated (see other reviews) in living memory. The rooms are not soundproofed and the bathrooms are certainly not modern. The hotel is on a very busy main road, traffic noise all night. Very average breakfast. We had a second night booked for our return which we cancelled and paid a €200 penalty. I recommend paying a bit more for a decent hotel.
