I stayed one night here with my partner when we were on holiday in Athens for the week. I cannot say enough great things about the hotel. It was fantastic. Our room was spacious and clean with a balcony overlooking the most stunning view of the sea. The staff were super friendly and the restaurant food delicious (we enjoyed breakfast and lunch). The hotel boasts its own private beach which was just perfect - comfortable sun loungers with parasols to chill out in between going into the water. You're just a 10 min walk up to the Temple of Poseidon (I recommend to do it by sunset) which is a must visit. I strongly recommend Aegeon hotel to anyone and hope to find an excuse to come back some time. Thank you Sofia and the rest of the team for looking after us. 10/10

A beautiful hotel, just above the beach with an excellent view of the Poseidon. Rooms are large, with noce views and well equipped. Staff is very polite and helpful. Breakfast (included) was quite rich, everything you may wish to start your day was available.

We stayed here one night prior to our departure home. The hotel is very close to the Temple of Poseidon, which was the primary objective. It was just okay for a one night stay, note that there are no covid testing facilities on site, so we had to get a cab to take us to town. Very few room amenities, no kettle for coffee or tea, there is a mini bar.

We spent two nights here after two nights in Athens. What a great combo that is! This is a low-key but super beach side hotel sitting under the temple of Poseidon. The rooms overlook the sea and all have balconies and the staff are exceptionally nice and welcoming. There’s an authenticity here that you just can’t get at a busy city hotel. The breakfast was ample with as many cappuccinos as you wanted. There are two seafood restaurants located immediately beside offering a choice of Greek foods with a HEAVY emphasis on fish! One of the best things about the hotel is access to the beach and really nice loungers and day bar. It’s only April now but it’s warm enough to sit out in the sun and rebuild those vitamin D stores. Higher up floor is better for the view.

We were delighted to finish our almost 4 week trip to Greece staying in the Presidential Suite in Sounio. Georgia and Sofia had been wonderful in assisting me with date changes after we had to cancel our planned trip to Greece twice due to Covid travel restrictions. The hotel is truly in a gorgeous location on the beach and below the Temple of Poseidon. The Presidential Suite had just incredible views of the Temple both during the day and at night when it was lit up. We were so happy just to sit on the balcony listening to the waves lapping on the beach and take photo after photo and watch the sun set out over the water. There are several small water front restaurants right next to the hotel property, providing tasty food and lovely atmosphere - this was a wonderful way to finish our trip but the piece d'resistance was truly the views from the Presidential Suite - well worth the splurge.

Perfect spot with the views over the Ancient Temple. Right of the seafront. All rooms with the open sea view, clean, well equipped and maintained. Beach is adjacent to the public, but clean and one can make reservation of the bungalow sunbeds.

As other reviews have mentioned this hotel is located in an absolutely perfect spot for a relaxing beach break. The beach and water in the bay is super clean and swimming is a joy as the depth of the water shelves gently. There is no pool, but honesty none is needed. There are two restaurants within walking distance as well as the restaurant in the Hotel. All of them are good. The temple of Poseidon is a short walk up the hill and we loved visiting it and watching the sunset from the temple. We visited in early October for 3 days. It was cooler in the evenings and the mornings at this time as there are quite strong and cool winds from the north. But on the hotel loungers in the afternoon the wind is blocked out and the sun is still strong enough to allow for sunbathing. The sea temperature was perfect. We were wishing we had brought some fleece hoodies with us though for the evening. There is not much to do in the hotel or surrounding area other than the temple, restaurants and a bar in the hotel. At this time of year it was very quiet and relaxing. There is no nightlife nearby which didn’t bother us. The Hotel is built so most rooms face west and therefore get an amazing view of the bay and the sunset. The rooms are clean, our room had a safe and a mini fridge. The bathroom had a shower with good pressure and the room had good air conditioning with a simple control panel. We had a balcony overlooking the bay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would unhesitatingly recommend this Hotel and Beach for a short break or extended downtime holiday. There is none closer to the Temple of Poseidon or better situated on a beach in the surrounding area.

The girl who works at the take away bar is unbelievably bored to do her job! She told me it was a big hustle to go Inside and get some oranges to make me an orange juice, which on the menu by the way!!!! She run out at her bar she said .. but to go inside and get some more from the hotel was only a 30 seconds walk … what is going on? Are they bored to do their job???!!!!

Needing to escape the chaos and heat of Athens for a quick getaway, we decided to make the short 45 minute drive from our home in Athens to the Aegeon Hotel in Cape Sounio and we are so happy we did. We often have long weekends during the summer at hotels throughout Greece, but this time we decided to stay more local and although we normally stay at the neighboring Grecotel Cape Sounio, it was purely by chance that we ended up at the Aegeon Hotel. Although the two hotels are very different with the Aegeon being the less luxurious, the Aegeon was actually pretty perfect. While the hotel does not have a pool, it really didn’t matter because we came for the beach and the beach is FAR better than at the other property. The rooms were perfectly comfortable and fully updated, the staff was wonderful and friendly and although weekends can be very chaotic with many people coming for the day, we were able to have our own space in the cabana area reserved for hotel guests. Once the weekend was over, it was like we had the beach to ourselves, so if you have the ability to come during the week instead, that would definitely be recommended. Even with the crowds from the weekend and the fact that they open the beach to anyone, I really don’t have any complaints. Special thanks to Sofia in reservations for getting us set up. We will definitely be calling you soon for our next visit, which may even be this coming week.

This was one of my usual hotels to stay when visiting the Athens area for business. I used it this time for a short holiday stay in Greece coming from a Peloponese visit and prior to heading back home. So no surprise and the usual warm welcome of the team in place. Nice rooms, even if the bathroom is relatively small but modern and well equipped, especially those with view on the Sounio Cape temple which is just a couple of hundred meters away. Good beach location with gorgeous view on the gulf and cape. Good morning buffet served by the waiters due to Covid restrictions. You might only miss a pool but with the quiet sea at the foot of the hotel, there is not really a need for this. Good value for the money. I can just recommend a stay there.
