This was our 2nd time staying at Sofitel Airport Hotel. As we were so impressed some years back the decision to stay here was easy. Proximity to airport is so convenient. Check in and out was efficient. Room was cleaned to a high standard and was well equipped. Staff were friendly. Restaurant wad very good for dinner, wine waiter suggested we taste three wines before deciding - this was invaluable as we got the wine that we really liked. Food was very good for dinner and breakfast. We will definitely use this hotel when flying through Athens.

This is a perfect hotel for anyone arriving at the Athens airport and taking a later flight. After collecting baggage, we just crossed the street to the hotel for an easy check in. After being given information for room service, we proceeded to our room. Ordered room service and it was delivered promptly by Elena. Although we will probably not be eating the complimentary breakfast, it does start at 5 AM for those with an early flight. Great choice!!

Great location if you need to spend an overnighter in Athens. The location could not get any better as the hotel is literally across the street from the airport terminal within a 1-2 min walk. Unfortunately, we encountered an unacceptable level of cleanliness in our room. The toilet had not been cleaned properly as there was some fecal material on the toilet seat. The lamps were also dusty. Having cleaned hotel rooms myself for over a decade, this was not acceptable. The room should had been double checked for cleanliness for the next guests. Is it a five star hotel as advertised? I don't think so. Their standard room was very basic and expensive at $300 USD, which did not include breakfast. The pool was not available at the time of our stay either, and there was no place to relax unless you paid for the spa. There were ongoing renovations being done at the hotel. The staff were apologetic and cleaned it later. Slippers were then provided which should be done in the first place. Drinks were offered. The receptionist at the front desk in the morning was not apologetic at all. I felt with the room being dirty and the lack of available amenities an adjustment in the room rate should had been offered.…

We were delayed on our Aegean flight into Athens so Aegean arranged rooms for us at this hotel. Wow! They arranged a special dinner for us at midnight even though restaurant was closed. The rooms were beautiful and the beds sublime! After 5 weeks of travel these were the most comfortable beds imaginable. The staff was amazing. The breakfast was also fantastic. I hoped our next flight would be delayed just so we could stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel the night before our early trip out of Athens. We flew in from Santorini the night before and wanted to be close to the airport. This was it! It is less than a 5 minute walk across an airport road. The restaurant was more expensive than we wanted, so we bought some food at the airport and ate in the lounge area by the elevators on our floor. We were so happy in the morning to be so close to the airport for our flight!

The Sofitel has the market for location for the Athens airport cornered. Otherwise it is what you would expect in a large airport hotel. Nice but expensive restaurant. Competent but not particularly friendly staff. After a trip staying in boutique hotels the atmosphere was generic, but the room was large, with lots of space.

It's an excellent quality hotel for a short transit stay. It's literally across the street from the airport arrival area. The staff were courteous. Restaurant food was good (dinner). Overall the room was clean, except there were a few fragments of unknown debris on the bed sheet. I was able to quickly shake it off The mattress was showing signs of aging, obviously slightly sagging but still very comfortable (or I was just too tired after a long leg of flight). No major concern on the bed issues, but I felt the hotel at this price point wouldn't let these issues happen from the first place.

The hotel scores as expected for an airport hotel (average-good). Perfect for an overnight stay in case of a connecting flight or short city visit): Excellent location (1 minute walk to and from the airport terminal; 45 minutes taxi ride from the hotel to the Acropolis site in the center of Athens at €40 per trip during the day). Comfortable rooms in terms of size, beds and pillows, spacious bathrooms with the necessary amenities (shower, bath, towels, bathrobes, slippers, bathroom products, hairdryer, etc.). We recommend a luxury room: queen size bed, located on a higher floor, overlooking the airport runway. Slightly pricey (we paid €256.5 for one night in April 2023, breakfast not included). Restaurant and bar are clean, sleek design, wide selection, early and late opening hours (perfect for a hotel near the airport). Room service decent menu choice and prices are fair considering the portions and quality of the food (club sandwich is recommended, one portion is enough for two people). We did not need the same room type with club access as we found the offer of the club lounge in the hotel (food and drinks, room layout) rather limited. We had lounge access (SkyServ Lounge - SkyExpress) at the airport with food included. Consequently, we did not have breakfast at the hotel. "Fast" internet is pricey at the hotel. We recommend setting up a local hotspot via your smartphone and checking competitive prices at your own provider for internet use abroad (useful for Europeans). Spacious and calm lobby with enough seats. Striking design elements, for example, a glass chandelier on the ceiling of the lobby. Large reception with adequate staff (good knowledge of languages). The hotel has wellness facilities and an indoor swimming pool with an impressive view of the airport (currently under renovation). If access to the swimming pool is a must-have for you, we recommend contacting the hotel in advance to inquire and confirm when the renovation works will be finished. The front desk staff can also suggest excursions and seaside locations in Athens to relax during your visit. Good to know: The rooms are perfectly insulated, good air conditioning, no noise can be heard from the corridor, neighbouring rooms, nor the renovation works (this hotel guarantees a good night's sleep). After all, location and rooms are the biggest assets of this hotel (also the time-saving check-in and accelerated check-out). A slightly warmer welcome (personal touch) and a feeling of being at home while being on the move are working points (now it is a bit too sterile). Membership of the All-Accor Live Limitless program is recommended because of the cheaper prices, saving of points, extra benefits during your stay. We thank the staff for their efforts and services. Clean, quiet rooms overlooking main road & hills in the distance. Renovations were taking place so gym was out of action. Reception staff friendly. Good & beverages pricey so went elsewhere for dinner, at suggestion of reception staff. Best thing is location, literally across road from arrivals hall & quietness of room.

Very convenient for early morning flights and not as expensive as its counterparts in the U.S. Our room was clean and comfortable. Toiletries are fabulous. It's a very short stroll across the street to the airport. We took a trial run after checkin and discovered a lovely small museum on the upper floor of the airport. Would definitely stay there again.
