Detailed Reviews

We had to spend one night in Flores. Even though we arrived at 5am and the check-in started at 13 we where allowed to stay inside. The common area is beautiful and has resting places, chargers, bathrooms, showers and coffee even at night.
We had a room with private bathroom so it was really comfortable.
We booked trips to Mayan ruins via the hotel and it went very smooth.
I would highly recommend

Place is super cute, Benjamin & Daisy were kind and informative. The decor is very eclectic and has many sitting areas to meet people from all over the world. Located in the island is very easy to find. Only problem is that they charge 10% to pay with a credit card. I think that is excessive, most places don’t charge or if they charge is a 4%.

Very nice hostel and great sleep here. The bar is very cozy and you can party here in Flores. You don't hear anything in your room either, so that's super chill. The food is also very tasty and you don't hear anything in your room.

If you feel like overpaying while being treated like dirt, do come here. Staff made sure to always let you know what an annoyance you are to them. Best case scenario youd be grunted at or just not spoken to.
They charge 10% to pay with card because they are just not greedy enough with room prices. They get annoyed when you decide to pay in cash and didn't have proper change available. They charged us 67 euro a night for a two bed private where the shower didn't have hot water. Asking them to fix it, resulted in being smirked at with a knowing smile. They then let us know to just let it run 10 or 20 minutes or longer.
Coming and going does only warrant annoyed faces because they have to open the door again. The restaurant closes at 11 and if you habend finished at 11 you get told on a second basis that you must leave instantly. Not friendly, but in an annoyed tone that lets you know you were never welcome to begin with.
Unfortunately a place that has all the potential ruined by its staff and manager that really could not care less about their customers.

Excellent hostel, very good atmosphere, very pleasant to stay. Very friendly people. The happy hour prices are great so they can stop by for a drink, I couldn't try the food they prepare but they said it is very delicious and everything is very clean.

We stayed here for two nights. The accomodation is beautifully decorated and located on the Isla de Flores. We had a private room which they tried to put us in room 1 right next to the reception/bar and travel agency. This is loud and I'd recommend asking to move room, and if you're in dorms 1 or 2 as tours leave at 4 in the morning and you would hear everything!
We booked our Tikal tour through the agency and they said we had to take a pack lunch but turns out we didn't as there was a restaurant offering lunch for 85Q. Also they failed to mention we needed identification to buy park tickets, luckily we both had driving licences as we didn't take our passports! Tikal is definitely worth doing, evening during the day as it's quieter but it is hot!
We booked a shuttle to Rio Dulce through them which was good however our taxi never showed to take us to the bus terminal. The Staff seemed unfussed about our situation and said "hopefully" we make it, despite us booking our service through them. I would just take in mind reminding them about any services you book as they had forgotten ours I believe!
Besides that the accomodation, bar and atmosphere is amazing!!!

Super nice site. Lots of vegetation and colors. The staff is friendly and attentive. The hostel is well located in Flores. The location is very hot so some rooms have air conditioning to what I understand and others do not. Then find out.

Not a bad place. Went here for dinner after a recommendation. Food was below average and took well over an hour to arrive. Nothing came at the same time and they combined the two pizzas we ordered (not sure how you can mess that up) so I paid for chicken on a pepperoni pizza that I didn’t order because they claimed it was the more expensive Birria pizza based on the tiny pot of sauce it came with. No apologise or ways to rectify because we were never checked on. Pool tournament was cool and when the drinks did arrive they were cold. Would go again but would avoid for food.

Don't get me wrong, the rooms are nice, it is quite clean and they have cool common rooms but man they have some weird policies and try to scam you while acting they try to help. Let me explain, first of all they want your passport as a deposit for everything. Opening a tab? Give your passport, doing a boat tour? Leave your passport. Don't have enough cash the second you arrive from another country with another currency (because with card you pay 15% extra...?!?) Leave your passport. I don't understand why they want to keep and use your most important possession as deposit in a drawer without a lock. Besides that international law forbids this (since you are not the owner of your passport, your government is) this is just a weird way to run your business. Just use a credit card or whatever if you can't find a better way to make your customers pay.
At second when I asked about the best way to get to the local airport they told me: 'the taxis will try to scam you because you are a tourist, so we can book it for you for 55 quetzal.' 5 min later I asked the first taxi i saw and he told me the price is 15 quetzal. I get that you want to profit from arranging Taxis for your customers (however doing it as an additional free service is also common in other hostels), but more than 3 times the price while saying that the taxis are the ones scamming? Come on.
All in all, the rooms are nice, the restaurant staff and cleaners are nice, but don't expect anything from the reception or tour office staff. Food and drinks are overpriced just like any of their other services (it only is convenient) so I would recommend going somewhere else at least for your breakfast, lunch, dinner, tours and drinks. Or even better, just sleep somewhere else close by for cheaper and visit the common rooms for free.

Los Amigos is a great bar with a really cool vibe. There are plants and waterfalls, as well as funky lights and cool music.
If you’re backpacking, you can also book tours and shuttles through the hostel, which is really useful as their prices are affordable. We did the Tikal trip through Los Amigos and had an amazing time.

No. My memory of this is that is closed at 21.00 but I may be wrong and it might be safer to check directly with the hostal.
