This was a nice place to stay in pur way out of the jungle and on the way to Lanquín. Were were able to get our clothes washed (50Q for a load), enjoyed warm showers with decent water pressure, good coffee and nice food. The menu has western favourite and local options. Try the Ramon pancakes or Mayan fishes for... More

We stayed in a private room at Hostel Yaxha, and it was incredible. They are very well-priced, especially for the island of Flores, clean, and have hot showers. However, it has been so hot we appreciate that we could turn the breaker off for a cool rinse off. The hostel is more like a hotel, as the staff cleans the... More

can't speak of the private rooms, but be prepared for hot hot nights in the cramped 4 bed dorm, with the only ventilation coming from the window connecting to the restaurant, which although during our stay was completely empty, could make for quiet a loud evening. the ladies behind the counter were lovely, helping out with every question we asked..... I stayed there with a group of archaeologist friends and I liked the vibe of the place. My room didn't have any windows but it was clean and considering the price it was ok. The breakfast were delicious and the staff was kind.

While the cafe downstairs was lovely and the staff very helpful, I was underwhelmed by the room. Despite two fans, it was so oppressively hot in our room that my boyfriend had to go and sleep in the common lounge area; room was significantly warmer than those outside. Towels were provided but a bit grubby; beds were OK. Have stayed... More

This is the most polished hostel in which I've stayed: ultra clean, appointed like a nice hotel, excellent restaurant and perfectly located on the quiet side of Isla Flores ( no roaring nighttime traffic or booming discos as found on the island's southern and western reaches). I stayed in a four bunk room with a modern shared bathroom, the shower... More

We stayed here 2 nights, location is good. A really nice chilled hostel with a cafe downstairs. The rooms were nice and the bed comfortable. They also gave us advice for our Tikal trip and we booked it through them and our onward bus. Would recommend. Thanks for a great stay!

I stayed one night in this hostel and I thought it was quiet banal. Staff was OK. I was not shown any upstairs common space - I just learned about it by reading some past reviews here. Paid for the night, left 100 Quetzals as deposit for the towel and keys and settled myself in the dorm. I had a... More
