Visited this hotel(stayed 2 nights midweek). This hotel is a sister hotel of a place a colleague loved in west TX. Retrospectively and going forward, I'll be staying in Alpine closer to family. Marfa was the site of the movie Giant and thus cool city is like stepping back in time. This is the hotel where the cast stayed in... More

We stopped for the night at this awesome period hotel. The lobby is comfortable and inviting and the staff was helpful. There is however no elevator so leave the heavy bags in the car. The room wasn't the big modern rooms I usually stay in but I loved it. It had a comfortable bed and we stepped back in time.... More

El Paisano is pretty much in the middle of nowhere so it was a real treat to find. We stayed on the second floor just down from the room James Dean stayed in. It was roomy, clean and quiet. Great bed and shower. Terrible view of the dumpsters in the alley behind. Dinner on the patio was excellent. The pistachio... More

Visiting the Paisano hotel is like stepping back in time. The common rooms are gorgeous with beautiful floors and tile work throughout the hotel. We loved the restaurant and outdoor patio. The rooms are worn and the bathrooms need updating but it's definitely where I would stay in Marfa rather than one of the trendier hotels.

Loved our stay, you feel transported back in time. Our room (230) overlooked courtyard and had a nice balcony . Staff was very friendly , excellent customer service . Was surprised by the number of unique gift shops with a good quality merchandise.

We stopped in Marfa to visit the courthouse, but the wife got hungry and wanted a sit down dinner. So, we stopped at the Hotel Piasano resturaunt for dinner. The service was good and the food was definitely a notch above.

Stayed here for two nights which were very enjoyable. Hotel has a very European flair and the history adds to the ambience. Room was very clean and comfortable and service welcoming and friendly. Kids loved the shopping arcade and playing in the courtyard. A lovely visit!

Overall great choice. WE were checking out the historic hotels in West Texas and this one probably rates the highest. Beds were quiet comfortable though the bedding could be updated. Absolutely pristine clean in every room of our queen suite which had french doors that opened onto a shared balcony overlooking the courtyard. The suite had a sleeper sofa as... More

Glad we stayed here. Pet friendly and nice patio/fountain area so we could have dinner there with our dog. Good food and a really nice bar area too. Love these old places with charm. They keep it really clean. Many nice stores off the lobby and memorabilia from when they did the movie GIANT. Only downside is that there is... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. The lobby is beautiful and the hotel is clean and well maintained. We had a room on the mezzanine level, which is just up a couple stairs from the main floor. The hotel doesn't have elevators and the stairs are tile so we were glad not to gave to climb them with our luggage.... More
