I reserved a room (and paid in full) a week before my trip and showed up at 1am (and called to see if that was ok beforehand, and it was) to find out that Hotel Ava did not have me in their system and was unable to book me a room, even with a confirmation email and receipt that I

My husband had reserved rooms over the phone for Family weekend since our daughter goes to TTU. First of all totally overpriced, due to high demands. When we arrived, before even able to talk to somebody at the reception I had to wait at least 15 minutes. Since my husband booked

I'd booked a room at Hotel Ava, described as normally being a $250 room reduced to $80. I'm not a picky person; all I needed was a place to sleep for the night in the middle of a very long drive, and from the webpage it seemed like a reasonable fit.

When I drove into the park

Wow. I can easily say that this is the worst hotel I have every stayed in. I’m sure it’s not the worst hotel in the country, but I have never personally confirmed that a worse hotel exists. I was visiting a friend for a couple days on my extended road trip and hotel costs had

At first glance, the hotel looks a little underwhelming, but at 11 pm one cannot complain. The price was cheap, but they are doing massive overhaul of the building. The smell of paint was powerful as i walked in the hotel, but again I was tired and looking for a room. The water w

When do you plan to provide enough towels for all your guests?? On one of the biggest weekends of Lubbock, Texas Tech Graduation, you can barely give two towels per room? And not a single apology from the staff. Which means this must happen all the time. I stay in hotels quit a bit and have friends who manage them and the biggest pet peeve is never enough towels!!! We showed up and no towels. Told by front desk staff that they were out!! And then it is December and cold and get to the room and everything is unplugged. Including the heater/Air conditioner. Was told that second floor isn’t used much, so for winterization, unplug such things. That is the worst excuse I have ever heard. And if there is a hard freeze, and no low heat going, you are asking for plumbing issues. So the staff must thing the guests are stupid!!. So back to my question? Do you think you can ever provide enough towels for full occupancy, as I overheard numerous of times that hotel was all booked up!
I have no idea why I received your post as I was an unhappy guest in July. Be assured I am not with the hotel. We had a family reunion there and will not be having another at this particular hotel. We had numerous complaints from AC's that wouldn't cool the rooms, the attitude of the breakfast staff, one room flooded due to the AC and family had to move to another. It was not up to the standards of the Choice hotels. We now stay when in Lubbock at the Comfort Suites on Marsha Sharp Freeway and really enjoy it. Quiet, new, friendly, and clean. This Clarion is an older facility and was in need of numerous improvements. Towels were not a problem for us but many other things were. We had ten rooms and no one was particularly happy with their room. This was not our first stay at this hotel. I assume that since had a question and I had reviewed the hotel is why I received your post.

Do you have roll away beds available?
I do not know if they had them or not...I would question the fact they had substandard a/c , questionable services around the hotel.

How is the breakfast?
We offer complimentary a full hot buffet, scrambled eggs, two forms of sausage: patties and links, biscuits, gravy, grill made pancakes, 4 assorted cereals, make your own waffles, home made salsa, milk, yogurt, assorted juice. I am sure I missed a few items. And if you choose we also offer a full breakfast menu at a fee.
