Detailed Reviews
Stayed there for 7 day if u like artificial eggs then this hotel is for you. The same breakfast menu was offered Thru my entire stay, There’s a hot tub but if you disabled or have a hard time getting down the steps this hot tub Won’t be good for you. The railing Doesn’t go all the way to the bottom of the hot tub. There was sand in the bottom of the hot tub for my 7 day stay . Unfortunately there’s better hotels in the area this will be my last time here. Previous owners were on top of things. So sad

Room Tip: There’s no elevators here. Try not to get a room on the Walmart side to noisy

in spite of being an older property our stay was quite good. The staff were top notch in terms of trying to accomadate us. We had a problem with the toilet overflowing but the housekeeping did their level best to take care of the problem and were very prompt and understanding. They did their very best with what they had to work with.

Picked this place because i thought it wasn’t a chain hotel & wanted to try it out. Not disappointed. We spent a night here on a road trip & found it to be really nice. Breakfast needed more variety but there was a lovely view from the large windows & it was not the typical area allotted for a standard breakfast. Plenty of restaurants and shopping available next door and all around. Would stay here again.

I’ve been by this property innumerable times since I lived in Lubbock at one point but had never stayed there. I read good reviews and noticed it had an outdoor pool so I booked it for a recent overnight stay. The staff was exceptionally nice. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed the pool. Since it was a weekday, we were alone most of the time. The pool area shows a bit of age but we enjoyed it. The breakfast was unexceptional, as most complimentary breakfasts are today. The number of restaurants within walking distance was nice as well. I would highly recommend and plan to stay here again.

This hotel is so old. It really needs an update with some deep cleaning. The pillows have been here for as long as the hotel has. There is mildew between and on the bathroom tiles. The tv did not work. No elevator. Breakfast was less than bare. The hot goods were cold. The $25 dollar Walmart chair and the couch had white fuzzies and other dried white liquid spilt on them, with paper towel hanging out from under the couch, wrapped up in it. I’m not surprised for how old this property is, but for as long as it’s been open or at least the change of ownership should at least get this renovated/upgraded.

The good: Hotel is in a good location. Right next to a Walmart and many food and beverage options. Suite is big enough for my family. AC is on point.
The bad: The room and hotel is smelly, walls dirty, seems outdated, ants in sink, suite not very clean, 80s wallpaper in bathroom. Also no elevator in hotel, which is very difficult when you have young children.
Works for a one night stay but if I would have stayed longer I would have relocated to a different hotel. Many other options for the value. Didn’t get a chance to see the pool or other accommodations.

This hotel is my home away from home.
The staff is ALWAYS wonderful. Rooms are always clean, and beds comfy. There's a nice, big outdoor pool I use during summer visits. Due to knee problems, I always get a first floor room. (The extended stay portion of the hotel has an elevator.) Great hotel overall.

We enjoyed our stay here
Staff were friendly. Room clean, comfortable
Having refrigerator and microwave in room a plus. Beds very comfortable. We had a quick full breakfast before leaving. Also when we arrived there were 3 restaurants within walking distance.
Would definitely stay here again.

+1
Great quality hotel for the price. Check-in was smooth and fast. Very friendly. I felt it was a very safe area. Not too loud. Had a nice hot breakfast. Lots of yummy choices. They keep it very clean. The only slight negative was a little outdated but did not bother me at all. Everything else made up for it. Had a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Overall a good experience. Will be back for sure.

I first saw an ad they had run in our local newspaper offering a special $55 rate. My husband & I stay in Lubbock several times a year and had never heard of the Ashmore Inn. What a pleasant surprise it was to walk into such a beautiful hotel! The front desk clerks were very efficient & courteous and treated us like we were the only people staying with them. The guestroom we stayed in was superior, very clean & comfortable. We loved having a microwave & refrigerator in our room. We've stayed at several other hotels in Lubbock but the Ashmore Inn is the best by far! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the best place to stay in Lubbock!
