Don't do it! We just got back from our stay. If this place is $59 a night or less then you do get what you pay for. It's obviously old. It's very noisy as it's right on the street at a red light so you will hear the cars. Also, we heard a lot of noise from the other rooms. It was just overpriced. I would not stay here again.
Stayed for 2 Nights on a Road trip from UK . Very comfortable and clean . Good location . Locals very friendly would recommend. Not the cheapest but not a lot of choice in Lockhart . We enjoyed the small Texan town experience though .
We were doing some work in Lockhart and our company booked us at this hotel simply because it was close to where we were working. First thing you notice when you pull into the parking lot is that it for sure is a sketchy looking place. It is right off the main street and traffic is constant and super loud all hours. There is a small cafe next door that I personally didn't eat at but did see a handful of people there daily. The parking lot of the hotel and the cafe are both super unkept. The entire area for sure could sure use a deep cleaning. The rooms are super dated and need a lot of work. We stayed in the hotel for multiple weeks over a few month period. I stayed in a few different rooms and they were all set up the same. Two full beds, one small bench, one dresser, small desk one rolling chair and one dining like chair. TV is flat screen hanging on the wall, I would say it's about a 42 inch? Beds aren't super bad but aren't anywhere near the best. More times than not the bedding was stained. You could smell cleaner when you walked in the room so I'm pretty sure it was cleaned. Biggest issue was the maintenance that was severely needed! Room 109 has multiple cracks in the bathtub so the water leaks out and the carpet is soaked between wall and bathroom at all times. Most of the rooms the chains to lock the doors were broken. The shower heads sprayed water outside the shower. The showers have the worst pressure! The walls are super thin, you can hear everything. Most of the time it sounded like people were moving furniture upstairs all night. You could hear people talking through the walls. I did report issues to the desk to find that when we came back a few weeks or months later the exact issue was still there and untouched.…
This motel had a real pleasant atmosphere from the very start. The owners/managers are the nicest people that I've ever met. My room was nicely appointed and quite spacious. I remember calling the front desk and asking where the ice machine was and if the soda machine stocked any diet soda. He said he would check on the diet soda and call me right back. A few short minutes later, there was a knock on my door. I was totally amazed to see the short, dark skinned Asian man standing there holding a bucket of ice and a diet Pepsi. I started reaching in my pocket to pay him, but he just smiled and said don't worry about it, then just walked away. I will never forget the impact that he had on me. That was the most significant can of soda that I've ever had. I have stayed there several times since and would highly recommend the Lockhart Inn to anyone visit that area.…
The hotel was clean and nice for a small older hotel. Close to the prison that made visiting a snap. No breakfast available but this hotel is close to several eating places. The owner was very friendly and courteous. We enjoyed our stay.
The motel is fairly old. Looks to started to repaint the rooms and bathrooms had a new tub. That is my room. Cannot say for the rest of the motel. If I were asked if I would stay again the answer would be yes.
We stayed here while hurricane Harvey was going on! We went here just to eat BBQ food! I think he was the owner of the building and I don't know his name, but he was there everyday at the reception desk and was soooo friendly & welcoming! It made our stay! Everything was clean & had great appliances in the room, kitchen, microwave! I would recommend this place 100% only unfortunate thing for us was the rain! But that didn't stop us!!! Thank you :)
We were in Lockhart on a weekend, and most everything was booked (grant it, there are not alot of options). There is a new chain hotel in town that is well over-priced in my opinion. We have been on a motorcycle trip for a week, and have three weeks to go, so cost does play a factor. Check in was friendly and efficient. no issues with the room. The bed was comfy, a huge flat screen in the main room, and a second smaller flat screen in the bathroom, jacuzzi area. The jacuzzi made a perfect place to soak (and wallow! lol) after an evening of glutony at Black's BBQ. I would stay again for sure. Chatted with the owner in the morning outside when we were packing the bike, really noice people. **warning: Chisholm Trail BBQ is right beside the place, and the smell of sweet BBQ will greet you in the morning when you walk out of your room, and it may entice you there for breakfast! Room rates very reasonable, good service, cold air conditioning, lots of hot water, small refrigerator and microwave. Its a place to stop for a night or two if you are just in the area. Prices are competitive. I plan on staying again when back in that area. Its location and for my use is spot on. Free WiFi which is nice. but be aware of the road noise at night.
Rooms have a good fridge, microwave, flatscreen tv, wifi. Not exactly cheap at $65 a nite or so, for a hotel probably 35-40 yrs old. Beds and things arent in bad shape, they are comfortable, a/c blows nice n cold. Bathroom is clean, so is the tub. But, if you are on the east side, you are next to the road, main road. And if on the bottom floor, and the usual work crews are in the area, you will want to change rooms to the top. It sounded like monkeys throwing bowling balls in their rooms 2 nites in a row. didnt get a whole lot of sleep. Cant really blame the hotel for that though, and given the lack of nearby hotels ( I was wanting to be right in town, this is the only option ), it becomes a " well, try to get a room secured on the back side, top floor, in advance" kind of case. The place was sold out due to work crews, so again, hard to do much on that score. Staff is at least friendly, no problems there.…
