Sensational accommodation in an amazing environment Simply a delightful place to stay, its private, quiet with brilliant hospitality. Everything we wanted arrived We wanted more coffee pods they came 5 minutes later, Karl was always on hand checking we were OK. . One example of their kindness was when we were stranded due to a traffic incident and lost almost a full day of our vacation they offered us another night free. Thanks guys

We stayed here for our 15 year wedding anniversary and could not have been happier with our experience. From the stunning views to the trust the chef romantic dinner and the fresh baked breakfast and fruit. We stayed in a Bush chalet for 3 nights and it suited us perfectly . Thank you so much Jaylene & Squawma you made an unforgettable memory for us and will return sometime in the future.

We stayed at The Resurgence over the Christmas period and were thoroughly impressed by the facilities (we stayed in a lodge room), the peaceful atmosphere, and the care provided during our stay. We particularly appreciated the generous local produce in our room each day and dining in the lodge which was delicious. A beautiful lodge to recharge the batteries.

Very expensive for older style accommodation with limited amenities $544 for one night including basic breakfast, e.g corn flakes, supermarket ham in a plastic pack , along with a few cool local things yogurt etc but overall missed the Mark No air conditioning etc Great owners but would strongly not recommend at these rates

Hi Nick & Megan, We were sad to read your review. As a leading New Zealand luxury accommodation with over 17 years track record, we are confident that we are anything but Average! We don't normally ecommend one-night stays, especially when you book at 5pm, go out for dinner and leave at 10am. You need longer to explore our 50-acre property, walk the trails and use the pool, sauna and hot tub. We offered you a BBQ Platter so you could stay in and enjoy the peace and tranquillity rather than going out again for the evening. For such a short stay, we will always seem expensive - on the date you stayed, there was very little available in the area, so perhaps we were not your first choice. If you love birds, are looking for a relaxing or romantic getaway, or want an accommodation with great facilities and Lodge Dining, The Resurgence is a great choice. Our 2020 Trip Advisor Travellers Choice Award shows that many travellers love our Lodge. We offer a full cooked breakfast at the Lodge for anyone after more than the generous supplies with which that the Suites are provisioned (4 free-range eggs from the Riwaka Valley, ham, cheese, butter, home-baked bread, 2 local jams, 2 local artisan yoghurts, 4 types of cereal including home-made muesli, 4 types of coffee, 8 types of tea, fresh fruit, milk, local apple juice and more) - I agree that it would be nice not to need plastic around our hams, but otherwise, it would dry up and be unhygienic. Our website has videos, a full 360-tour and many images so, if the decor was not to your taste, I am not sure what more we could do to display what we are like prior to your stay? If you are after airconditioning and you use every available towel for a one-night stay, an Eco Lodge is probably not the best place for you! If you use Booking.com or Expedia to select rooms, be-aware that their descriptions are computer generated so a property's own website is a better place to look. We hope you will be to come back for a longer stay next time and have time to relax and enjoy the property.

I stayed here with my husband for a special 40th Anniversary trip. The location is set in beautiful rolling hills with great onsite hiking trails. Beautiful birds on property for bird lovers. I highly recommend the Bush Lodge accommodation, which is a wonderful splurge!. Deliciousl breakfast and gourmet dinner included. The location is nearby Abel Tasman Park, where we took a Great Day Out cruise and hike.
