My husband and I stayed at one of the new cottages and loved the peaceful serenity. We had such a wonderful time! The hot tub was a great addition! The property is beautiful and the food/dining was also a huge highlight of our trip. The chef is phenomenal. We loved that everything is garden to table. We will definitely be returning!

My wife and I love going. GM Brian Burkhart and his team will help you make your trip whatever you want it to be. For us this time, we wanted to relax, enjoy coffee on the porch watching the deer, take an occasional hike and a nice menu of food for dinner. We been in the spring, the summer and are already planning our next stay for November.

The cottage was clean and comfortable, (sheets not ironed) and the people were very nice, but completely unable to be flexible on anything. (can't deliver food to room??) The single biggest letdown of the weekend is the food. Massively oversold on their website. Limited choice and the same menu both Friday & Saturday. Continental breakfast table was mediocre at best. There was a limited menu for cooked available at extra charge: Eggs Cooked to Order (Fried or Scrambled)???? I asked for a poached egg on the Avocado toast but chef couldn't do it... What? Dinner first night had to be sent back (cold) Salmon was hammered both nights. No question from wait staff about "how would you like steak cooked".... All food had to be pre-ordered each day, and they could not change tables that were assigned... (because that would throw the kitchen off).. Wow. They advertise "wine pairings"... Nope. Not one suggestion by server at all? Would not recommend.

Hello Mr. Steve, Thank you for staying with us and I am glad that your room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately we do not deliver food to the rooms because we can not ensure the same quality when delivering to cottages that are up to half a mile away. We do explain this on all of our guests booking confirmation when you book. The menu is a small seasonal menu because we only serve 20 rooms at our boutique Inn. Once again, this information is explained on our website and the email confirmation when booking. Guest preference on food is based on the guests selection. We try too encourage all guests to inform us if they would prefer their meats cooked a specific way or need suggestions on wine parings. We apologies that we were not able to switch you tables but unfortunately we were fully booked and it would have been a inconvenience to other guests to take their table. I understand that things do not always go according to plan. The Sage Hill Staff always strives to ensure our guests have a wonderful stay. Please feel free to inform us on any special request prior to arrival so we can plan accordingly.

First, if you're seeking peace and tranquility, you'll find it in abundance here. We enjoyed the spa, pool, and walking the grounds - that's the good. Where the experience lacked was the food. The continental breakfast was as other guests have pointed out - just plain not good and very limited. You can pay extra for a premium breakfast, but it's not worth it - the one day we did it, we didn't eat it. The dinners sounded great on paper, but underwhelmed (saltiness, portion size, overcooked mains were all an issue). We were happy to have filled our fridge with snacks we brought ourselves. I won't pick the experience apart meal by meal, but I'm glad they are considering reworking their food options. Our room had good bones as they say - we enjoyed the King Bed, sunken tub with awesome views and fireplace. It's time for a general redecorating and touch up of fixtures, art, paint and bathrooms as it's all dated - lots of potential with some investment - we were in the Nance King Suite. Finally, some general observations: lots of mouse droppings in the Library - seems like a lack of attention to detail here and something that can be taken care of with minor pest control protocols. Slow cleanup of guests used glasses, and dishes and housecleaning was more of a tidy up than a cleaning. Would we come back? Probably not, would I recommend it to someone else? Yes, if the above issues are addressed.

Hello, This Aric the Operations Manager here at Sage Hill Inn & Spa. Here at Sage Hill Inn & Spa we strive to make each and every one of our guests stay pleasurable so I am sorry to hear about some of the problems you encountered during your visit. We currently are still working on our meals along with updating each and every room on property. We do spray for pests but will be increasing the frequency on the entirety of the property to ensure this issue doesn't happen . Again, we truly appreciate the feedback on everything and without it we could never make improvements. We will be holding a meeting later today to address all of these concerns and please feel free to give us a call if you ever have any questions or possible concerns. best, Aric
