This is my 3rd time staying at the INN and it never disappoints. Just when I think the last room was was favorite, the next room tops it. All rooms are uniquely beautiful, private, peaceful, and abounding with stunning nature! The food, staff, and amenities are fantastic. 4 nice pickleball courts, awesome pool area, spa, cornhole, library…cute towns nearby. Put Sage Hill In at the top of your list!!

My wife and I stayed here for the second time and find it just close enough to Austin to be convenient but far enough to feel like you are in the hill country. The pickleball facility is awesome- we stayed for a Dink and Drink event and had to force ourselves to our room at 9:30 just to get some sleep. The courts are excellent and just far enough away from the Inn that you can’t hear the sounds of play.

Went out for a Dink & Drink package and had the most wonderful time. The court setting is lovely and we had a great group of folks to play and connect with, all with the gorgeous sunset setting the scene. Michelle was a terrific host and the staff were all super helpful. We stayed in a cozy room in the main inn, fully equipped with all the extra amenities. Breakfast was delicious and the views were spectacular. Just wish we'd had more time out there than one night!

The accommodations and grounds are fantastic. The food was very disappointing (e.g. exact same meals over multiple days, the fish and pork were tough and dry, the breakfast was not good - cold oatmeal, cold coffee, etc.).

Hello, We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your accommodation along with a few of the amenities that we have to offer here at the Inn. As for the food, I am sorry to hear that you did not enjoy any of the options on our set Seasonal Winter Menu. Every reservation made for 3 or more nights are offered a few different entrée specials to ensure our guests have plenty of options to choose from for the duration of their stay. The cold oatmeal that is served on the continental breakfast is our version of a muesli. Thank you for this valuable feedback and we will certainly be assessing our current meal options to make any necessary improvements. Please feel free to contact us if you ever have any questions or need anything and have a wonderful Week! - Aric Blevins Operations Manager

My girlfriend and I spent two nights at Sage Hill Inn & Spa this past week and it was a wonderful experience. The setting was peaceful, tranquil, quiet and relaxing. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room included a number of very nice touches and was comfortable, as well as cozy. We played Pickleball, horseshoes, bocce ball and Cornhole, in addition to going on a couple of hikes. Our dinners and continental breakfasts that came with the room rental were very good, as was the service. On the rare occasions that I’ve written reviews in the past, they were much shorter than this one, but Sage Hill Inn & Spa definitely earned my extra words. I loved it!

This little gem of a get away is located well off the road where it is very quiet and serene . It affords a sense of open space and such attention from staff that you are never in need of a thing. Everyone is so personable and helpful and friendly that you can not help but feel 'at home'. The food is wonderful and we never felt the need to leave for anything. The pool water is still super cool and refreshing thanks to the Barton Springs! The hiking trails are numerous with all kinds of little spots to sit and just 'be' to observe the wildlife and witness the beautiful sunsets. I can't wait to go back in the fall and experience this spot in the cooler weather to take advantage of the fire pits after the sun goes down. They have their own gardens and there is a spa on site. Fabulous few days of total down time which is exactly what I was looking for! Already planning another visit!

We were celebrating the the 25th anniversary of starting our study abroad business. We are 4 women owners ( the founding mamas) and in the early days we would have our board meetings here. One of the mamas was exposed to COVID so she had to cancel. They were so kind even though it was a last minute cancellation. The waitresses were very sweet and everyone made us feel so welcome. We were in the Ranch House which is fabulous. It was July and so, so hot. So next time we will plan for the fall since the outdoors and activities are so great. Thanks so much for a lovely time .

My wife and I stayed multiple nights. A few interesting guest mix of baby boomers and couples in their 20s/30s. No in-between. The positives: the views; the hiking options; the proximity to Wimberley and San Marcos; attentive dining room service; easy check in/out; the quiet; a very nice room overall. The less than positives: the very overused mattress that was more like what I'd expect in a Hampton Inn (sleep wasn't the greatest); the run down horseshoes/bocce area; the pool floats and noodles that were mostly way past their prime; no pool attendant so only one fresh towel available. Meals definitely could use some fresh ideas. The continental breakfast options never changed during our multi-day stay. One cereal. No juices. (Note that the website promises fresh-squeezed orange juice every day.) The same muffins, bagels, and toast. Every single day. Your dinner options are never change. You are given a menu to select your options, and you must turn them in by 4:30 each day. The choices only change seasonally. That meant we had the exact same 3-4 appetizer (fried egg rolls, really?), vegetable, entrée, and dessert options our entire multi-night stay. (Note: who wants baked potato soup when it's 100 outside?) So if you picked your favorite options for the first night, that meant you were selecting your less favorite options on subsequent nights. The food is good, but not worth the price. The food is also heavy on the sauces. Tip: past two nights you can ask the chef for the special. For us, it was a very good honey sriracha salmon one night. We paid over $400/night. I recognize that included breakfasts and three-course dinners, and I recognize times are tough etc. Still, I would have liked to feel like I got more than I paid for. I did not. When we checked out, the office worker told me we'd get a 10% discount on my next visit regardless of when we booked. The email I just received said I had to book within seven days to get the discount. Par for the course. We may return to the Inn at some point in the future, but likely not in the next 5+ years. There are too many other inns in Texas to visit.

Hello, We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your most recent visit with us here at Sage Hill Inn & Spa. The Inn certainly welcomes all demographics and anyone over the age of sixteen as we enjoy sharing our beautiful Texas acreage. We currently rotate all dinner options on a seasonal basis and offer specials for the guests who have an extended stay. The continental breakfast does stay the same each morning with an assortment of fresh fruit, yogurt and a variety of pastries. Our staff does occasionally offer a discount at checkout that has no time frame when it must be used but we also like to offer the additional 10% discount in our emails to ensure everyone receives the opportunity to come back out and enjoy the property. Please feel free to give us a call as we would certainly love to hear a little more details about your stay to ensure all corrective actions are taken.
