We booked this place as a last-minute getaway. What a great find. The grounds are beautiful, and they did an amazing job thinking about the little things, like water for hikes, walking sticks, sunscreen etc. We did the spa package and absolutely love the Sage Hill package which includes a salt rub. We came out feeling super relaxed. The dinner was very good, and staff was amazing. We stayed in the Nance room which has amazing views and a great soaking tub. The hiking trails are well marked and maintained. Great Hill Country find.
Beautiful grounds, wonderful service and delicious food. Lots of hiking trails, amazing pickle ball courts and fun shopping in nearby Wimberly. Sage Hill in is a quiet getaway surrounded by wilderness, yet very close to Austin.
My wife and I stayed here early April in one of the casitas. The facilities were amazing and the staff friendly. we enjoyed our spa appointments and even tested our hand at pickleball. Dinner was pleasant both evenings - my wife and I had the chicken and pork and they were excellent. Will definitely be returning!
The food was great and the service was amazing! We stayed in one of the king rooms in the main building and really enjoyed the wonderful views. We even saw some deer on one of our morning hikes. We will definitely be returning!
A friend recommended that I take my wife on a couples visit to Sage Hill and it was the most romantic trip I've ever taken. The trails, the food and the whole experience of being able to walk up to our cottage and not have to speak to anyone other than each other save for the waitstaff when at breakfast at dinner was great. Such a memorable experience and we'll definitely be back.
We have stayed at Sage Hill Inn several times. In the past I would have rated it a 4.5 - 4.8. The food was always outstanding...not so much these days. (except for the Auhi Tuna which was outstanding!). The coffee...well just drink what's in your room bc it doesn't improve in the dining room (or you can drive to Wimberly for great coffee at SIP). And the bfst is continental...missed those great breakfasts in the dining room with guests. In our opinion the Inn is still in pandemic mode which leaves these guests thinking "why" when hotels are no longer in pandemic mode. The personal touch has gone away except from the server at dinner, Briana. So it feels very aloof. Now an Eric delivered our dinner to the room one evening as we returned from our outing later than we had planned...he was very nice and helpful and offered to be available up to 10:00 pm. The next night our TV would not work (discovered after 9:00 pm) nor would our A/C (after 11:00)...boo! Because without 'the personal touch', who do you call? We certainly missed a younger crowd. Seems the culture of guests has grown older (not the Inn's fault.) just something to note. Our trip was bluebonnets, Wimberly, Garrison Brothers Distillery, and some wine tasting. All of these adventures were 100%.…
Beautiful grounds in a serene, peaceful location with nice views. Food was quite good, great service. Lots of rocking chairs and outdoor seating, fire pits, spa, pool, etc. We really enjoyed our time here. Only reason for a 4 star is the Pecan Cottage where we stayed could use some updates. We did get a chance to look inside a room at the Inn and the rooms are quite remarkable. We would stay here again.
Attended a women's 3-day pickleball camp for 15 of us from Dallas, with our coach and also Michelle King, the excellent coach from Sage Hill. It was the perfect experience in every way! Beautiful property, food, hot tub and pool! The pickleball courts were first class. Michelle and our Coach Ben organized our days to make sure everything was fun and running smoothly. My room at the inn (Schlemmer) worked out great. All in all, it was a great get-away experience... and improving our p ball skills was just the icing on the cake!
What a beautiful property. The rooms are very unique but well done. We stayed in the Toalson with living area and fireplace. The farm to table food was fresh and well prepared. Your allowed to bring liquor with no charge and outside wine with a small corkage fee. We also visited the spa and had excellent massages. The best part though is the Pickleball courts. Amazing courts and beautiful lounge area with TV and bar (wine and beer). We did the Dink and Drink Pickleball event which was awesome. Will definitely do it again.
We stayed at the ranch house and it was so beautiful. The staff were so accommodating. The food was great and portioned well. It was such a serene place to relax and reset. There were 6 of us and the house had plenty of space.
