My wife and I went there for our honeymoon now we go there yearly every chance we get. The cabins are beautiful with beautiful furnishings. Most of all, the owner Mrs Ann, makes you feel so at home. There is plenty hiking and canoeing close by.

We stayed for 2 nights at Ethridge Farm in the Cabin on Blueberry Hill, which was great. A rustic cabin with shower, toilet, sink and 2 bedrooms. The front had a great swing seat and it was peaceful and just a lovely place to get away from it all. Ann Ethridge is a great host and cooks a Great Breakfast and has a lovely home where we ate breakfast. The gardens are full of different fruit trees and birds and wildlife are plentiful. If you want a B&B with your own Rustic Cabin and to get away from it all, then this is the place.

The grounds were beautiful with lots of fruit trees and well maintained garden. The property was Big Thicket forest with lots of wildlife. We stayed in a quaint beautiful cabin with an outstanding air conditioner. ( It was 98 degrees when we visited). The room had a microwave and small icebox. Shower had great water pressure. Cabins also have outdoor shower with hot and cold water and very refreshing. The owner Mrs. Ethridge was very gracious and a beautiful Southern Lady. Jay maintained the grounds and the grounds were immaculate. Very nice people. Breakfast was delicious and Mrs. Ethridge makes her own mayhaw jelly grown right on the property. They also grown blueberry trees, pear trees, persimmon trees, and many more. The birding was great and we saw more red headed woodpeckers on this property than we anywhere else in the Big Thicket. We saw 5 different species of woodpeckers.

We stayed in the Cabin on Blueberry Hill, converted from an old barn. Loved the unique, clean, comfortable lodging. Also enjoyed walking around the property and seeing the blueberry bushes and orchard. Ann Ethridge is a charming, spunky host who makes a mean breakfast including her signature biscuits and homemade Mayhaw jelly.

We stayed in the cabin on Mayhaw Ridge for our anniversary and had the most relaxing time. The cabin was rustic and cozy with a comfortable bed and small kitchenette. It also had an outdooor shower which we highly recommend trying! Ms.Ann was a wonderful host and excellent cook. She made us a delicious candle lit dinner along with a great breakfast which included satsuma juice and mayhaw jelly. The grounds were well kept and had plenty of satsuma trees of which we enjoyed picking.Absolutely the best place to unwind and enjoy the country. We will definitely stay again!

In case you don't know what Ethridge Farm is, l will tell you. Ann Ethridge began a bed & breakfast but not your typical bed & breakfast. Ann lives in a log cabin lodge and has three log cabins for rent. This is in the middle of no where, down a long lane in a clearing in the woods. There are mayhaw trees, orange trees, fig trees, kumquat trees, trails, small pond and lots of hospitality. Breakfast is served in Ann's dining room. Lots of privacy in the cabins. A couple of the cabins have a very nice, second shower outside for your back to nature experience. You will want to take DVD's as TV reception is not the best. There is a microwave and small refrigerator for your convenience. It was one of the most enjoyable stays we have had. Take the opportunity to visit Ethridge Farms. I might mention, you can pick fruit for purchase when in season. We will definitely stay again while visiting family in Sour Lake (20 miles from the farm).

I was in the area for a family reunion and was so glad to have found out about Ethridge Farm. We stayed in the Cabin on Blueberry Hill and could not have been happier. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, and many more conveniences, all while staying in a historic log cabin. The breakfast was delicious, and the owner, Ann, was so nice to visit with. If you're looking for a relaxing place to unwind in the country, this place is perfect. When I'm back in the area, I'll definitely stay again. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality, Ann!

We stayed with Ann in August last year while in the area for a wedding (and wow! that outdoor shower felt great in the August heat and humidity). We stayed with her the second week of December for a Christmas lights sojourn we were making through Texas, and we wanted to see family nearby. We love Ethridge Farms - the cabins are quaint and comfortable, and we felt so relaxed both times we stayed here. We also took some time to pick lemons and satsumas in December, and we were so glad we did. The lemons were absolutely amazing and so juicy that three of them would make a batch of lemon curd to serve six people. I had never had satsumas and each time I eat a tangerine now, I long for the extra bit of goodness in the satsumas. We also bought some of Ann's jellies to have on hand at home and to give as Christmas presents. Our favorite is the Mayhaw, but all of them we have tasted have been delicious. We highly recommend a weekend retreat or a week away from the rat race at Ethridge Farms. We definitely plan on returning when we are in this neck of the woods again.
