We stayed in one of the condos at Rio Vista. It was modern, spacious, and had a full kitchen. The outdoor patio had a great view of the lake and a nice breeze. Perfect for breakfast each morning, and to hang out at night. They have a private boat ramp too which was very convenient (and free for guests). The water trampoline, pool, and barbeque pits were also a nice bonus.
Stayed for a day. The condo was very clean, the furniture was up to date, the outside looked very well taken care of. The view of the lake was so beautiful, and the environment was very quiet and relaxing. Would definitely visit again.
We stayed at the Llano Lake house and had a great time! The house is very spacious and is right on the lake with amazing views. Our kids loved the little playground but especialy like the water trampoline. They could play on that for hours. The resort management was very helpful and nice. It was the perfect place to have fun and forget about Covid for awhile. The lake is amazing and if you have access to a boat it will not disappoint! This is a great hidden gem for those who want to get away and have some great family fun.
We stayed at the Llano Lake House, and it was wonderful with a great view of the lake trampoline. The boys could swim in the lake while we were on the porch of the house. The house was well furnished and extremely clean. The staff was very helpful, and we had a great time. Thank you to the Koenigs for a peaceful, wonderful vacation.
I have a 10 year old and her friend that came camping with us. We stayed two nights at an RV site. We had been here once before 2 or 3 years ago so knew what to expect along with double checking on website and when I called to book that everything was operational due to COVID. However, we were disappointed to find when we arrived that there is no slide or water trampoline at the lakeside as advertised and that we remembered from our previous visit. The pool is wonderful, but the grounds around the pool were not kept up very good. Trash in the flower beds, dirty socks here and there, stuff like that. I actually picked up a bunch myself while I was there. Hot tub jets were not functional and pool lights (inside the actual pool) never came on either night we were there. We even told a gentleman about it it but nothing was done. Also just know before you go that there a quite a few residents who live there (one gentleman I met was a 10 year resident), so it’s not just a vacation destination.…
Rio Vista looks amazing online. We were wanting a park with water activities and a pool. The water trampoline was fun for the kiddos, but, the water is very choppy due to all the boats and jet skis. There is no beach area at the resort. Our kids enjoyed the splash pad and mini golf. The pool was nice and we all enjoyed it. The hot tub was disgusting and definitely needs cleaning. What they don't tell you on their website is they have permanent trailer houses and rvs mixed in with weekend campers. We had spot 17...DO NOT ACCEPT that spot. The septic is on the WRONG side....lucky enough we had an extra hose so we could hookup.
I went with my family, and it was fabulous. The lake house we rented was modern, clean and beautiful, with lots of room and would be perfect for a large gathering. It's a great location; right on the water. They also had a water trampoline (which the kids loved), a pool, hot tub, ping pong, and mini golf. The boat ramp is right on property and there are boat slips for rent which was very convenient. The people were friendly and the kids could run and play. I will definitely be back.
We were on a road trip with in the Deep South of America and our next destination was kingsland, but no KOA which we use as we know the standard. So saw in a brochure the Rio vista ....outdoor pool, water sports , water slide, Internet it sounded amazing!!! Ha ha this needs the equivalent of Gordon Ramsay of RV sites to sort them out.....it was so out dated, dusty, cobwebs, very small swimming pool, toilets were not dirty but grimy and very old.....not nice to have a shower in! We were told of "course we have Internet in this day and age".....NO! I could not get on the internet but no one could help me in the office .....we use this to plan our next day......please don't rely on this if you are traveling in the USA it's Rubbish!!!!
We stay in a RV during winter months( Dec. through March, and into April if grandchildren are not involved in sports). This is our 10th year to stay here. We have several couples they return each winter. We all visit together, have pot luck meals, fish together and have some fish fry at times. Main thing are the friends we get to know from different states. Our children come at spring break and love it here also.
The Rio Vista Resort is located on the corner of the Llano and Colorado Rivers. It has an RV park as well as condo's to rent all year around. The condos were priced at about $1700@month as well as you have to pay electricity. They are 2 story, bedroom up and one down. The living room is small and there isn't much for living room furniture. If you can't do stairs I wouldn't advise renting here. The grounds are serene and accommodating to sit and view the river. The staff in the office were very friendly and helpful.
